The chapter is not available at The Room of Requirement yet, because ladydarkmoon-san hasn’t scanned it yet, but I read the chapter and here are my comments (before 168 is released and it becomes old news xD).
3 Color pages! I did not expect it (they usually say so. Never trust them again xD)
Beautiful color page of Yuuko (and the tag-line says the chronicle is reaching it’s climax!!) And once again, the line about the dream that must be ended… I’m starting to think this dream is one of the 2 dreams Watanuki is been having.
The splash is incredibly pretty too! It’s such an X-ish page with all the swords, feathers, dualities and of course, red sheets. It’s the first time we see shin!Syaoran’s sword in color, and it’s green, ‘course it’s green xD Also, they are lying above the ruin with Tsubasa’s symbol, very neat.
It’s Nihon! I can’t believe you people! Congratulations to everybody who have guessed it, I confess I wasn’t one of them (on the contrary, actually xD). You’re getting pretty good at it! XD
It’s good that they are in Nihon, because here WE and THEY can rest a little. Ever since they set foot on Tokyo, Tsubasa has never stopped, not even once. And here, I think they’ll be able to rest, heal their injuries and think over what has happened and what’s left to be done. At least that’s what I hope to happen.
I do wonder if Yuuko interfered, though (is she still capable of?), and if Nihon has feathers too (someone on my previous posts suggested that a feather might be preventing the arm of Kurogane’s father from rotting. That’s a really fine guess!)
(God, the view of Nihon reminds me so much of the game Tenchu XDDD)
So it was Tomoyo who told Kurogane what to do! I was very proud of Kurogane for thinking over so quickly but now I realize he wasn’t that smart XD LOL, I’m not underestimating him, don’t get me wrong, but Tomoyo deserves her credits too. Kurogane is still incredible for exchanging his arm for the life of Fye.
So the arm served as a “replacement” for Fye’s magic. Since the curse was drawing magic from Fye, he couldn’t leave it without something with the same kind of magic to exchange his place. So Mokona’s earring is perfectly fine and it can carry more than a Kurogane. The problem was that the curse are “attached” to Fye’s magic.
Indeed, Kurogane’s strength has been decreased because he killed Ashura. It’s good that the main point of the curse wasn’t ignored.
And thus, Kurogane has found the meaning of true strength. It’s beautiful. He has reached LV. 100 XD There’s no further development for Kurogane, in my eyes. He’s a great character.
HAHAHAHAH! The punch! XDDDDD Soooo unexpected xDDDDDDD But so funny! Kurogane’s face is PRICELESS! He’s like “WTF? Are you mental? I’m all armless here because of you and all you do to thank me is to PUNCH me?”
But it’s a love punch… it’s the kind of punch Arashi would give to Sorata xD
And Fye called him “Kuro-sama”! Are things finally about to get better between those two? I honestly hope so… now more than never the 4 of them need to be together.
That makes me wonder, though… now that Kurogane is finally back home (therefore, the wish he made to Yuuko has been granted), will he leave it at all? Of course he will, today’s Kurogane will.
Meanwhile…
In his dream, Syaoran meets Watanuki! lkahsoiwncdjgpruwamsn! Why there’s no XXXHOLiC next week with such a crossover like that?
Watanuki, you better ask QUESTIONS, and Syaoran, you better ANSWER them! Ò.Ó

That makes me wonder, though… now that Kurogane is finally back home (therefore, the wish he made to Yuuko has been granted), will he leave it at all? Of course he will, today’s Kurogane will.
Old pre-Sakura group Kurogane would have still gone with them anyway, because he now has a score to settle with Wang.
I’m glad the angst is out of CLAMP’s system now. Maybe we can get some smiles again.

It was the best chapter in the longest of time. >.> The fangirls were screaming for Kuro/Fai and rooting for Tomoyo being so clever and taking care of her favorite ninja and yay!
I have been thinking since we do see the stories from both sides >.> how come we’re not getting anything from xxxholic…it’d be a bit odd to have the same chapter published the exact same way twice…but um…there’s little alteration they can do to a chapter that’s just between two characters. Unless Sakura is floating in there..then there’s 3 of them…
But yes…we need answers Damnit!

Actually, I think Kurogane is only LV. 99 because the curse made him lose enough exp points to de-level. XD
And yeah, why IS there no xxxHOLiC chapter next week? That means I have to wait even longer to see the conversation between Syaoran and Watanuki, unless it’s going to happen in TRC? Which makes no sense because the people who only read TRC have no clue who Watanuki is. XD

Oh yeah, the WORST is to come! XD But I think the whole thing with Kurogane and Fye will stay in the background, for the time being.
I think CLAMP will focus more on the relationship between Sakura and the two Syaorans. And of course, now is time to reveal all mysteries… it’s time for the final showdown.
But that doesn’t mean Kuro and Fye won’t have any interaction, I just think it won’t be that explored like it was these past 7 volumes.

Well… Fye didn’t want to return to Celes but he actually WISHED to return there. So that wish is granted. I think he decided to help Sakura and Syaoran to finish their journey. He grew very attached to them, I don’t think he would want to leave them even though his primary journey is over.
Also, does he still wish to die?
As for Kuro, I think he, just like Fye, will want to help Sakura and Syaoran even though he’s back at Nihon. Plus, he wants to revenge his mother on Fei Wang.
And Mokona, I think it is sleeping with Syaoran XDDD

was a very good chapter in deed and one of my hoopings because is the only place (other than Yuuko shop) where Fay could recover and live, Kurogane need this or a super tecnological world in order to live!!! because for wishes to ask Yuuko they haven’t anything to give!!!!!
And the punch is so made of win they at last are equal an Fay have no problems now with the infamus croissing-the-line-thing!!! so this will be good if Clamp don’t kill them first!!!
Do you read herinia about the Kimono Fay is wearing??? is very interesting he was accepted by Tomoyo as apart of the royal house of Nihon and a bride!!!

Indeed Nihon seems to be at peace, or so it seems, it’ll be a good break before what is yet to come. Unless of course there’s a feather in the country and that could give them a little bit of headache xD

Hahahaha I noticed Fye’s kimono was VERY feminine, and he had such a feminine appearance on the whole! I’m not a die-hard Kuro/Fye shipper, but it was a funny observation xDDDD

Seeing the look on Kurogane’s face after Fye punches him has made reading this manga all worthwhile. Gotta love the canon.

I’m TOTALLY on edge for this!! I have no predictions now, I just want see this conversation!! And I’m guessing it’s going to be in xxxHolic, which means three weeks!! *cry*

Oh yeah, definitely, but don’t you feel like their story has sort of been concluded? I mean, OF COURSE we’ll see more of them, of course, it only ends it when it’s over xD But I think the big torment is over… and it’s time to focus on Sakura and Syaoran. What do you think?

I DO AGREE!!!! we need to know Syaroan secrets and get Sakura back to live… but I still would like to continue with the KuroFayness…. T_T one thing is what you/I wish from the bottom of your/my heart and another is what you/I know has to be…. If I was sure they could stay in nihon and be happy I would give an arm to get that, but that won’t be, they still have things to resolve… ALL of them…. and Clamp know that they only need to add some pages with Fay for me to buy the vols so….. XDDDD

this chapter made me feel like ‘we’re getting close…close and more
close to the end’…and realized there’s few mysteries now left (well, compared to all we had before) but even ifnthey’re few, they’re SO BIG….seeing fye punch kurogane simply made my day, I’m not at all a kuroxfye shipper, but it made me feel like ‘nice old times are back’ for a moment yes! syaoran you better answer those questions!!!!

I’m wondering if we’ll now have a Nihon-arc! It’s possible that a lot of the action may bring itself to Nihon’s doorstep and, aside from Fei Wang’s dimention, it’s the last world we visit. So maybe Kurogane won’t have to decide between home or continuing on…
I hope he doesn’t have to make that really difficult choice! >_< He's been wanting to get home all this time and, although he's finally realised the meaning of true strength and that he wants Fay by his side "with all his heart", I imagine he still really values his country and Tomoyo too. Also, Nihon and Sharaisaki castle have such a gorgeous designs! I'd love for CLAMP to show us round!!
And you can bet Tomoyo and Fay will become really good friends! X3 They'd cause so much trouble for Souma and Kurogane! Plus Fay could be Tomoyo's model!!
