CLAMP NEWS !!


– Next scheduled chapters (red means new):

08/10 – Newtype #09 – Chapter 9 (on sale).
09/10 – Newtype #10 – No Kobato. scheduled. “Large CLAMP feature”, 15-pages long. New color illustration drawn by CLAMP.
10/10 – Newtype #11 – Chapter 10. Featuring CLAMP Interview.

Oh yays, a new CLAMP interview~

• Calendar:

The cover of the seal calendar that will come as an appendix with the 2008 Tsubasa & XXXHOLiC Calendar has been announced.

Since it features chibi Sakura and chibi Himawari, I wonder if for the first time we’ll not have a Mokona=Modoki mini calendar.

The applications to purchase the calendar run until September 30th.

• OAD:

The list of guests to attend the exclusive premiere of Tsubasa TOKYO REVELATIONS has been announced. So far the following guests have confirmed their appearance:

Miyu Irino (Syaoran’s seiyuu)
Makino Yui (Sakura’s seiyuu)
Shunsuke Tada (director)
CLAMP

The first screening of Tsubasa TOKYO REVELATIONS will be shown at the Kodansha Hall on October 21st.

I expected CLAMP would attend, but it’s nice to get a confirmation ^^

Ah, old news, but I haven’t posted yet. The official site of Tsubasa’s OAD has been updated and now the setteis of the remaining characters have been properly colored (including Kamui and Subaru’s).

Apart from that, the seiyuus that will lend their voices to the vampire twins have finally been announced: Kamui will be played by Mamoru Miyano and Subaru by Hiro Shimono

The 4th Series of CLAMP in 3-D LAND goes on sale this month.

• Komugikotoride no Yonshimin:

A new guest has been confirmed to appear on CLAMP’s internet radio show. This time, seiyuu Kikuko Inoue will be the special guest of the episode due to September 11. Kikuko has played Chitose Hibiya in Chobits and Cecile Croomy in the latest Code Geass, among other CLAMP characters.

  9. oh, wow. O.o my overexpectations for holic have been let down. XD but i suppose even CLAMP wouldnt be able to multitask /that/ much, with tsubasa and all those other interviews. >< (and it gives the latest chappie a nice climax feel)

    another surprise: kamui will be played by the seiyuu of yagami light…who was voiced by the guy who did tamaki from ouran. O.O mann, i wonder if more parodies will be made after the OVAs come out…XDDD

    • I think that’s the way it has to be in order to have both stories syncronized. If they keep XXXHOLiC at the same pacing as TRC, it would probably be over by now and since the end of XXXHOLiC reveals a lot about TRC’s, I guess it would spoil us all ^^”

    but actually, my comment is related to that. Do you know what the deal is with the application to purchase the Tsubasa/Holic calendar? Is the application a form that’s included with the weekly chapters or something? Thanks much for any help you can give. ^_^

      Not it’s not. I think you can order it at the bookstores or through here, I think: http://shop.kodansha.jp/bc/yoyaku/comics/kchara2008/

      But it’s not the same application as for the Drama CDs.

      And I do think that you don’t even have to pre-order if you don’t want to. I think a lot of bookstores will have it, you just have to go there and buy it ^^

  18. No new Holic for a month?!? Dangit, well, that must mean that they are planning a cross over again, which means that by October we should be out of Sersue/Celes in Tsubasa. Oh well, but at least now I won’t be going crazy trying to figure out why no one has uploaded xxxHolic chapters.

    and the box!!!! Why Doumeki is so ghei in his pose?! I’m not complaining! hahahahha! I love the box more than the figurine!!!

    This is the best box set ever (then Rikuo next and then Watanuki and then Yuuko) xDDDDD

  27. Hi Chibi Yuuto! Long time no see;) Thanks for the news 😀 The calendar cover is so cute! I really like chibi characters 😛

    I have a request: Do you have TRC volumes 1 to 12 special edition spread covers already scanned? If so, could you please post them? Since I live in Canada, I can only have access to the normal edition. And I’d like to print them to make some covers myself as if I would have the Deluxe edition 😀 This would be grrrrrreat 😀 If you can not, I understand. Thank you once again for your hard work 😀

    Also, have you read the Holitsuba Omake?
    Do you know where it was puplished?
    Interesting fact: The two Shaoran are there! I think the one who is shy is the real one while the other is the clone. What do you think? Are they the same age?

    Why are the omakes not announced by clamp? Are they puplished in the same magazine as the normal chapters are? Why are they harder to find on web?

      The are twins, the second Syaoran apeared in the second Horitsuba CD drama. He is yet to be named, they call him Syaoran’s big brother. XD

      The standard Tsubasa omake are announced by clamp like the normal chapters of Tsubasa. Although they are rarely scanned, because they are published in the Monthly Shounen Magazine Special, since less people buy it, it is less likely to get scan. For the other omake, those published directly as extra in special books (guidebook, artbook, internet radio compilation book), they are announced, but within the Clamp stuff they are in’s entry. For example, the Horitsuba omake was advertised this way in the internet radiobook entry:

      Because it seems less people buy the Monthly Shounen Magazine Special, or less people with the will to scan buy it. So we get them later when some kind soul scan the tankoubon. As for the others, like the omake of the guidebooks or the artbook, we have to wait for a kind soul to scan the book these omake are publishe in.

      • Oh yeah, I’m fine! I’m a bit busy, more than a bit, actually XD I just haven’t been doing the chapters commentaries because Alison is very busy with her work (probably busier than me) and that just messed up with my schedule. But don’t worry, things will be back on track again soon!

    I don’t think Tomoyo is actually on her knees. It’s just that Kohaku is sitting on a chair (or whatever the heck that is), and I assume this Tomoyo is the Card Captor Sakura Tomoyo (i.e. shorter than her Tsubasa counterpart). But I must say, with her hair done in that style, she looks like Meilin in the CCS anime.

    As for the Tsubasa OAD, I’m so glad they got the eye colours right (ah, Kamui with purples eyes and Subaru with green eyes!). They messed it up back then in the X TV days.

    Oh! we are on a Kobato-less month, I had forgotten. ^^;

    A little brack for Tasubasa, but it seems it will be a long one for xxxHolic, at the end of the chapter 144, it says next chapter for October 15th. I counted three times, it will be a 5 issues long break. ;_; I hope will start with Yuko’s wish to make up for the break. XD

    As for the sceal calendar, I suppose it will be about Horitsuba gakuen instead of the two mokona.

    Seishirou sure look weird without a business suit. XD

      I hope it’ll start with revelations xDD Speaking of the end of volume 12, we ended up NOT seeing the color picture with Haruka that CLAMP promised to draw at the New Year’s event. I wonder if its going to be on Chapter 145?

        I would say they already had a Haruka picture planned, since they didn’t state any deadline, they’ll just wait to when they ‘ll reach the right time (or they are waiting for the second season of xxxHolic and the various promotion picture to place Haruka). Er … did they promised a official color picture or just one of their blog picture?

    Oh man~!! ;___; No Kobato until October, I want to see that girl and Ioryogi once again!!! As for TRC, thank goodness that very soon there will be a breaker after all that drama and intense revelations from the recent chapters. Not to mention the Syaoran fangirls going all crazy for the splash page of Chapter 164. @___@ OH NOES!! I know that it is understandable, but it’s too cruel to see a September-less HOLiC (well, almost September-less…).

    Chibi Sakura and Himawari from Holitsuba Gakuen: Too cute for words!! ^o^

    I would love to see more of the Holitsuba Gakuen concept since I adore the stories with that theme so much!! ^///^

    CLAMP in 3-D LAND covers: I adore Doumeki and Seishirou looks so hunky with those Chinese clothes. Fangirl “Squee” Level: Meltdown Alert!! *faints* You’re right about Tomoyo Daidouji always being on her knees. It is seen a lot on the art pages of Cardcaptor Sakura, doing that mostly with Sakura Kinomoto.

    Finally, looks like fun hearing that Inoue being on the latest CLAMP Internet Radio. I recognized her so well for the CLAMP series of Chobits and the 1st Cardcaptor Sakura movie. She did an awesome job as Chitose Hibiya. ^^ Wow, released on September 11th… looks like someone is going to get a special dedication on that day!! ^__~
