From Ohkawa’s Private Board

Here’s something that Ageha Ohkawa posted today in her Private Board from CLAMP-PLA.NET.

She mentions that she’s currently working on an anime script.

I ate dinner but my small stomach became empty and I ordered Pizza Hut.

Well, let’s do our best and write the anime script.

(Again, I’m not 100% sure of the first 2 lines, but they don’t matter xD Thanks for the translation! I asked the newest Tokyo citizen, Yoshiyuki-kun, about the 3rd line, to be sure of it’s meaning).

Cool, huh? Hope you liked this, because I was excited about it !! Is she working on a CLAMP anime script? Is it the so-wanted OVA of Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC? Is it a Code Geass episode for the new season? Is it something that has nothing to do with what it sounds (can’t be XD)? Do we need more japanese lessons @_@?

  3. Hmm.. Well is it possible that it may be related to the xxxHOLiC game somehow? (Though an OVA would be so-utterly-and-completely nice, lovely and wonderful)

    • It sounds too good to be true o.o I hope it’s a CLAMP anime, of course, but the fact that she carelessly mentioned it on her board its so weird… they usually keep things secret till the very last moment… but, let’s hope for the best ^^

    • I think there’s a possibility it might be a CG script. They usually keep secret about their anime adaptations until the very last moment, and I don’t know why but I find it weird that she speak about it so carelessly in her Board ^^

  20. wow! great news indeed! XD doesn’t really care if it’s Tsubasa or Holic or Code Geass but at least, Ohkawa is writing the anime script! XD that’s the best part of it!

  22. >yeah in the first chapters, but Fay was only smiling, that’s when kurogane started to take a better look at him cuz he didn’t trust him; then again kuro asked him back in tokyo, and so on , but Fay always changed the subject and they started talking about the future and stuff.

    I meant about his curse… they didn’t ask him why he tried to kill Sakura.

  23. Altough I ended up loving CodeGeass after the latest chapters I agree with you hoping is something related to one of their works… a shorty-little-15mins-cutey-cover-drawn-by-Mokona- Kobato OVA won´t hurt anyone you know… xD

  27. I, too, thought about this ‘pizza hut’ thingy being related to Code Geass…
    But thinking more about it, the only think Clamp got involved with in Code Geass was the character design…why would they (or be asked to) write the script of an anime which is not their own? Sincerely, the first season of CG went pretty well without Clamp having anything to do with it (except the gorgeous characters ^__~) and Clamp have enough work already…We all know they are workaholic women (to our biggest happiness) but to the point of taking care of stuffs they didn’t create…
    That said, it might just be me hoping it’s the case because I want to see more TRC and Holic anime (which won’t be by BEE TRAIN since they already announced officially they ‘finished’ tsubasa…or at least their share :P)

      But the producers of Code Geass really like CLAMP, they went to the CLAMP events and everything, and I think they must think that part of the Code Geass success was due to CLAMP’s character design (which I agree). So inviting Ohkawa, who have worked before in writing scripts, to write one of the episodes might be a way to thank them.

      I’m not saying it’s CG, just explaining why I think it could be it.

    Aww, I don’t know for what kind of anime I should hope..
    A TRC OVA would be awesome, but a Code Geass episode done by Ohkawa is bound to be excellent…
    But since the ones who do Code Geass have managed to do fantastic episodes on their own just fine, I guess I would prefer an OVA…
    Tokyo would be awesome, or the spider lady arc of Holic…

  29. Ohhhhhh! Please let it be the OVAs! I was starting to lose hope for ever seeing some TRC/holic live movement ever again (apart from the CLAMP in wonderland ^^). But this means it’s going to take a while though, if she is writing it. But I won’t complain! I can wait forever (^^; something like that) if I get to see Infinity animated or a Watanuki freak out again;) So cute:D Thanks for the info

  30. I’m super slow on the uptake … ^^;

    I don’t think it will be a Code Geass episode, Sunrise is the reference in mecha anime, the selling of the DVDs goes pretty well, and Ohkawa is with science and mechanic. Although they change the scenarist a bit in Code Geass, so maybe a school episode, if there still some room in the scenario for that kind of stuff in the second season.

    I would be more inclined to think of something related Tsubasa, a have little hope for Holic, Clamp was fully involved in that adaptation and it didn’t sell well enough. So unless the DVDs started to sell better, I don’t think it’s related to xxxHolic. A Tsubasa/xxxHolic project is the only way to get Holic back, imho.

    My wild hope would be it’s a Clover anime. The DVD doesn’t sell that bad, from what I can tell, so I hope they’ll make a movie or an OVA, produce the last two tankoubon and be over with the series within a year. ^_^

    • The only reason why I think it might be Code Geass is because it’s the only thing we KNOW is going to happen. I find it weird that they might be talking about a project that is still a secret in their Private Board. But I am, too, more inclined for a CLAMP project.

      They said they wanted to animate Tokyo and the Spider Lady arc, and what’s more, Ohkawa said she wanted to write the script, so it could be OVAs for both series.

        An OVA about the Spider lady would be around 20 minutes long at least, can they make Tokyo short enough to fit in 20 minutes too and put both stories together for 40 minutes … ? Tsubasa and xxxHolic, eyes of despair! But those would be such cliffhangers. Both series wouldn’t be closed properly, especially Tsubasa, with Syaoran gone berserk, ripping Fay’s eye out of his socket, with his past reveal as the evil clone made by Feiwang Read. Not the typical Shounen’s ending, to say the least. ^^;

        We’d need a series of OVAs to complete the stories (not that I would complain), unless real!Syaoran come back with all the feathers and just kill clone Syaoran, Feiwang, defeated, can do nothing about that; while on the other side, the eye switch between the boys allow Watanuki to stop seeing ghost. But that would feel a bit rushed … ^^;

        • I’m just saying what Ohkawa said herself XDDDD She said they wanted to animate Spider Lady and Tokyo’s arc. I also think that it would feel inclomplete, but that’s another thing, and if it sells well, they can make a continuation.

          Also, being an OVA, they can make it 30, maybe even 40 minutes long, don’t you think?

          • Oh! I misunderstood Ohkawa wanted to make a “two series in a one” OVA including both the Spider Lady and the Tokyo arc. My bad. ^^;

            That’s more logical if they do both stories separately. Although the cat and well + Watanuki’s fall mixed with Tokyo would be more interesting than the Tokyo alone. And they could replace the muderous woman story with a Tsubasa related story and make it a cross series too, there’s so many filler stories in Tsubasa anyway …

            Or two OVAs each time, one for Tsubasa and one for xxxHolic, to be released on the same day (but that would make more DVD to buy … ¬_¬).
