Finally somebody new featuring the splash page! Someone out of the 4 main characters.
So we see a bit more of the loooooooooong conversation Sakura had with Yuuko who-knows-when xD Sakura is doing such a risky move. She agreed to give away all of her luck and the chances of having that wish granted aren’t even 100% accurate. I’m so curious to see the consequences of this.
Tsubasa is just GREAT recently, it’s like a bomb that is about to explode at anytime!
About her vision, can someone please tell me what’s going on? x_X That must be Fye, right? He’s the only one absent and not bearing a shocking expression on his face. Demo, this can’t be the whole vision… She said she saw a world, which is that world she wants to go, so this can’t be the whole thing. Either way, something grave will happen in this final battle, and it’s about to happen! I can’t wait!
Allow me say two things:
1. I have NO idea how she’s going to “avoid” what will happen on the last battle by…. fighting o.o
2. She saw her vision in a dream! That’s new, right? That makes Sakura a yumemi, just like her CCS counterpart ^__^
The scene where Syaoran asks Sakura to close her eyes (yeah, it’s so kind of him!) reminded me so much of the scene that Sawyer asked the same thing for Kate was he was being beat up badly, on the 6th episode of the 3rd season of LOST XDD
Chii contacts Fye again, and we discover CLAMP’s excuse for not taking us to Celes yet the reason why Fye didn’t take any significant move ever since he heard that Ashura-ou woke up. The time-flow between both worlds seems to be very different. It looks like only several minutes have passed on Celes ever since Chii first contacted Fye, while in the Chess country a couple of days seem to have gone.
Instead of actually going to Celes, didn’t it seem like Fye wants to move on to another country? In order to run away from Ashura-ou? I know they’ll eventually meet but, maybe is Ashura-ou who’s going to find Fye.
Anyway, all this happened with the great battle of Syaoran and Hikaru in the background. Seems like Syaoran “put an end to it”, we’ll see.

Another excellent chapter!
Some weeks ago we had Yuuko with her butterfly, so now we have Watanuki ^__^
Watanuki made gloves to everybody, with matching colors! XD So cute of him to make for Maru and Moro too (pink and blue!).
I loved the scene when everything surrounding Watanuki goes dark. Graphically speaking, it’s great to see CLAMP trying some new techniques. But more than getting dark, his surroundings actually got reversed! I wonder what could that mean… If they wanted to show darkness, they would just show pitch-black, but here what was black became white and what was white became black. Humm.
I’m trying to figure out what happened here… was it symbolical? Did it actually happen in that way? Why Watanuki saw white circles around Doumeki and Himawari body parts? Why he couldn’t move and why the other 2 couldn’t notice him (only after he fainted).
They got him back to the store and Yuuko told him to stay in the store, but his has nothing to do with cooking for Yuuko, we know that very well. Maru and Moro can’t leave the stores too… humm… any relation?
And then, the sentence that made this chapter was said by Yuuko, “The end is approaching”.
…
Ooooohhhh!! XDDD I’m not sure how I should see that… I mean, we kept hearing that the “end” was coming pretty much during the whole series of X xDDD We know that is coming for XXXHOLiC too, of course, but after “the end is approaching”, we still have “the end will begin”, “the end has began”, and only then we have the “end” itself xDDD Just kidding.
In other words, for us that follow the series weekly, we won’t see this end coming until a year or so…
There’s definitely no better sentence to end a volume, though! And no XXXHOLiC for an entire month u.u That will be tough. XXXHOLiC comes back only on April 16th.
Before leaving, I would like to pay my compliments and congratulations for my March-partner, moko_ko_nyanko-chan ^___^ She’s celebrating another birthday tomorrow, on the 15th. I’m not sure if I’m gonna post tomorrow but I wanted to dedicate a post for you, and since you like reading the chapters, I thought you would like it ^^ That being said, I dedicate this post to her. Congratulations and my best regards! ^__^

Holic….well, I guess it’s a dream (in psychological terms it’s probably fear of abandonment or something. But it’s only CLAMP, so that’ probably thinking too logically. XD)

I seem to be enjoying xxxholic more than TRC atm, simply because TRC is really annoying me with it’s repeating of the: Oh! Is going to happen! This is really exciting! *5 volumes later…* …oh, it happened.
Also because I enjoyed Toyko so much. ^^; Not to mention, we’ve lost so many characters, not all literally, but in personality. They just aren’t the same people.

Thanks! ^_^ Well, with it being CLAMP, it’s more likely to be spiritually related, like…a premonition that something is going to happen to them, or mayeb to him.

Aha, I agree. But I don’t get so frustrated with that as I do with TRC’s issue. Really, neither interest me so much atm, unfortunately. u.u’

*a bit late with this* ok… so back on chapter 131 we saw yuuko with kurogane’s sword and fai’s tatoo…. next to it seemed to be some sort of strange capsule thingy…
was i the only one who noticed that it looks like the capsule from chapter 1 of tsubasa RC?

hmmm…I’m guessing that fei wong breaks in and gets it. Or it could be some crazy CLAMP thing where the scene at the beginning was actually AT the beginning (in chapter 1), then we’re just following some other dimension repeat that has a happy ending this time (just to make it different). Then again, we could all just go crazy and say that Yuuko dropped it in a beehive (for the hexagons).

After reading translations for TRC, I’m starting to think Eagle knows Yuuko, or somehow knows what exactly Sakura saw in her vision or wishes to not happen, because he seems pretty adamant about her not winning. Maybe it’s all coincidence (>_

And for xxxHOLiC, it’s like Watanuki doesn’t exist (at least, I thought that). If he doesn’t exist, then the things that he have done never happened. And that’s why they didn’t notice him, and the things he gave to them don’t appear O.O Naahhh, I’m not going to smoke that again XDDD

That’s right XD But I’m happy all the same because, wasn’t Hikaru brilliant in this fight? She fought with style and lost with dignity *here I am assuming that she lost but we aren’t even sure yet xD*

That’s how I felt too! However, they did notice him… later. I wonder if this was a symptom that will come back everytime stronger than before, or if it’s just something that happened just this once.

Yeah! Syaoran had a hard battle after all. But I insist!, we are 95 % sure or more that Syaoran is going to win, or a lot of fans will get mad with clamp XDDD So, here is my theory: Hikaru has an arm damaged. Therefore, if Syaoran’s attack touches it…O.O (we know what happens with a machine that is overloaded with electricity isn’t it?). O.K. That’s a tragic ending to Hikaru…
And for xxxHOLiC I really don’t know what’s going to happen. Specially after what Yuuko said O.O

BTW, looking at the splash page…If Hikaru was the pawn…Then what’s next? the rook?, the knight?, the bishop? but the most important thing is which CLAMP character will represent it? XDDDD
Now the sentence “let’s introduce our first piece” makes sense. So who is the next piece Eagle is going to use? ^o^ (evil thoughts again).

Btw, maybe Fay will do something stupid during his battle and that would be the beginning of the flow of events that will lead them to an horrible death… But we can just speculate about it…

Holic is even worse… I agree with Shidouhikaru15, it really feels like Watanuki having a vision of a world where he doesn’t exist. No gloves, no Tanpopo, Himawari and Doumeki chatting as if he wasn’t there… That’s creepy! Ame Warashi said something along the line of “Even you existence is unbelievable”… Maybe Watanuki shouldn’t exist or something like that…
I really don’t like all of this… ç___ç (yeah, I like… or I wouldn’t be there talking about it!!!XD)

Hi, I really like this blog but I hardly ever post 🙂
This is what I think of XXXholic’s chapter:
In some way Sakura’s decision affects Watanuki’s existence. Because Yuuko said the universe (or something of the sort) was trembling because of her decisions. Shaoran (apparently) knows something about it because in chapter 121 when Yuuko says he was the third person that paid to save Watanuki she said ” Someone who has a deep connection with you. For something that can prevent you from disappearing, a method of saving you, he paid a price beforehand.
He sacrificed a lot of his time.” The important word here (that was inarikami’s translation) is disappearing. For some reason there was that risk from the beginning. But, if Watanuki dissapears there would be more serious problems, because it was Watanuki who freed the Mokonas. If he had never existed TRC gang’s journey wouldn’t have happened on the first place.
It remembers me a little bit of Futurama.

I may be wrong about the mokonas, but that’s my theory, I am sure it was hitsuzen ^_^.
But besides it, Watanuki has been important in other parts of the TRC, like when they were in Koriyo and Yuuko send them that ball made of the spirits that attacked Watanuki in the 100 stories chapter; and when both him and Doumeki retrieved the water used in Tokyo.

Both chapters are amazing this week and I compleetly agree with what you said about Tsubasa being a bomb! Both series have this ‘something big is on the horizon’ feel to it at the moment, wouldn’t you agree? Also compleete love for the negative page in xxxHOLIC, it gave the whole situation an extra edge of creepyness!

Tsubasa is definitely a bomb. A time bomb. Ah! Not even remotely witty, but there you are. Fai totally has to be dead in Sakura’s vision, he wasn’t there on that page, and she did tell him to take care of himself. Also, I’d always had the impression that it would be Ashura who came for Fai, not the other way around. Would Ashura kill Fai? Hmm…
I think Yuuko telling Watanuki to stay in the shop supports the conjecture that he’s “not a real boy” in some way, like the clone Syaoran; remember Kamui and Ame-warashi called them “constructs.” Does Doumeki have to be around at the end to turn Watanuki real? How could he do that? He’s just an exorcist…Hmm.
Yeah, the end is nigh. Somehow it doesn’t surprise me that there will be more TRC than Holic; TRC has lots more action anyway.

and it seems that she have been referring to something else? last time it was vision she saw when she was touching Fye (something that happened in another world), but this time it’s “the future i saw in my dream”(and it’s something that happens in the final battle)… i’m so confused~ o_0

was CCS!Sakura a yumemi!? i always thought yumemi are those who devoted themselves to dreamseeing, like Hinoto and Kyakyou…XDDD does the one dream that TRC!Sakura has make her one? 😛

of course! i always think that Fye is escaping from Ashura-ou, even if he has been sleeping…Fye always said “i couldn’t stay in a world for too long or Ashura-ou will find me” or something, right? that seems like hide-and-seek to me XD

the “white circles” are where the gloves and Tanpopo are supposed to be~^^ that is quite creepy, maybe he is seeing vision of an alternate world (where he doesn’t exist)? XP

i think Yuuko is worried about him, and is asking him to stay in the store to keep him safe…while Maru and Moro have to stay for the sake of protecting the store, remember? surely Watanuki staying in the store has little to do with protecting it… i’d rather say the store would be protecting him XD

Well, Kakyou didn’t devote his life for dreamseeing, it’s a gift that he was given and couldn’t do anything about it. Hinoto is different, she chose to become a Yumemi. Kotori was also a Yumemi, but she died before she could develop this gift. What I meant by “Yumemi” is someone who sees the future in the dreams, that’s how they call it in X.

Sakura has lots of visions recently, which confused us a great deal =.=
blame Yukito for that, according to her the recent visions come from the memory of Yukito teaching her how to use her talent…XD

I think the circles around Doumeki and Himawari are because of Watanuki, the circles are where the gloves made by Watanuki and Pi-chan were, all things “created by Watanuki”. When Watanuki is in the dark it seems like the things that “he created” are vanished.

WOW!! trc and holic, both are becoming more and more exciting! that fighting scene between syao and hikaru is the best i ever see made by clamp. I really want to get an explanation soon, because i dont understand why is sakura doing this. i agree with you: seems like that dream was about fye´s death, but then why she wants to go were the clone is? From this vision, it seems that she wants to prevent fye´s death, but then why is that related to the clone? oh, and i never believe fye was going to celes by his own will, i just think that fate will bring them to that place in the next jump.Something more about sakura: I´m almost sure she is more than related to watanuki, and i´m afraid that her decisions will bring trouble to him(she didnt know that, i presume. would be interesting to see sakura shocked by the problems she cause because of her stupidity… ehem, sorry, i know, i´m really meanie with her, but i cant help it. i really dislike her recently) I´m also confuse about this: i believe holic was supose to end a little before trc, and it seems that trc still will have another 5 tankoubon, so why holic is searching the end so fast?!

I think that XXXHOLiC and TRC will end just together… maybe some weeks of difference. CLAMP said that once the mystery of Tsubasa is solved, the mystery of XXXHOLiC will be solved too.
I think there are 9 volumes left for TRC and 3 or 4 for XXXHOLiC. But XXXHOLiC’s pacing is so much slower, so what takes TRC x time, for XXXHOLiC it takes 2x the same time xD

Yeah, now that I look at it, it IS pretty obvious. But I couldn’t realize at the time because I had to hurry and clean the scans, upload them and update my Journal (and after that, sleep after a day of working from 6:00 AM to 8:30 PM). So yeah, it was stupid of me for not noticing it ^^”

Although they have the same soul, they are two different beings that lived under different cincunstances. I think both Sakuras are even at the moment.

Holic chapter is excellent this week! The world in reverse is creepy, specially since all trace of Watanuki have disapear on the still normal part. It give me the impression it is what should have happen if Watanuki did die because of the fall. The fact that he is lying in the same bed, make me think the magic is glitching. I did not though it was because of the shop weakening, but you may be right.
For Tsubasa, I’m glad for those who enjoy this, but for me, we are back in Piffle World. ^^;
I don’t know, it feel like the story is stretched just to fill the right number of chapters, that there isn’t enough plot to thicken this world enough to suit my tastes. I would rather like to have things more concentrated. Well, I like concision, and Holic is made of rather short stories, that fit my tastes better. And I’m likely the one at fault, I was expecting Infinity to be short, but no. -_- And I was expecting this week chapter to be the end of Hikaru vs Syaoran’s fight, but no. -_-
Well, Holic was excellent, Fullmetal Alchemist was excellent and Naruto seems promising for this week, if this keep going on, I can bare with Infinity a bit longer.

Although I have to admit the spoilers made us to believe that Infinity would be much smaller than this. I think that there are many sub-plots waiting to be solved. That’s why I think it’s a bomb that is about to explode. We have so many things going on.

Yo, Chibi-Yuuto!! First of all, I want to say hontou arigatou gozaimashita for dedicating this report to me! Chibi-Yuuto wa hontou yasashii na hito desu wa!! *gives a big glomp attck* Of course, I’m giving you cake, a bag of Yukito’s homemade cookies, and sake!! Man, you’re going to get me all emotional here!! Hontou arigatou gozaimashita. Ureshii desu wa! ^o^
And now for my comments for the chapters…
TRC: Incredible chapter!! A very lovely White Day and birthday treat! I continuing to love the fighting sequence between Syaoran and Hikaru. Shocked about the dream sequence of Sakura-hime that got me brain-fried! Please don’t let it be Fai!! O__x Hikaru’s hyper beam attack was so freakish, but I knew that Syaoran will survive that attack. XD Of course, for the Kuro/Fai fangirls…a little fan service of Kuro arm-grabbing Fai after he has a conversation with Chii. Finally…to top it off, Syaoran and Hikaru delivering their final blow to end the chapter in a climatic way!! Rai Tei Shou Rai: Sugoi desu wa!! ^///^ Fangirl “Squee” Level: Meltdown Alert!! *faints*
HOLiC: Great chapter for this week. Very strong. It’s hontou kawaii that Watanuki had made gloves for everyone. Even for Yuuko, Maru, Moro, and the Black Mokona. Suteki desu wa!! ^__^ Really stunning when it come to the part that Watanuki is on a different scene. That he is unable to move and there’s darkness all around him while there is light in front of him with Himawari and Doumeki not noticing him. Maybe it’s the same thing that happened when he stumbled on the house on the schoolgirl and the bells concept… What really shocked me the most is when Yuuko told him to stay in the shop and after she left, she said that the final moments are arriving. Wonderful way to end the chapter in such a shocking cliffhanger!! O.O Masaka, that very soon HOLiC and TRC will have their 3rd turning point…
I can’t wait to see the next chapter for both series. This week’s chapters are way beyond words and was really intriguing!! Hontou arigatou gozaimasu for your chapter commentary report, Chibi-Yuuto!! This was a very lovely birthday treat!!! Tanoshikatta desu wa! Daisuki!!! *total bliss*
