When Sakura touched Fye and told him to care about him more than anything else, I wonder if she saw the future again…
Eagle in the Master’s seat? I did not see that coming… But judging by what he said that he’ll be there “for the time being” (according to inarikami‘s translations), I wonder if “she” is going to take his place later…
I love when CLAMP draw Syaoran’s eyes white instead of black *-*

Hikaru !! I was indeed wondering myself when she would show up in this twisted version of Angelic Layer (I’m talking about the Battle Game here xD). She’s the first opponent… hummm… this is smelling like Piffle to me, semi-semi-semi-finals, almost-finals, definitely-the-last-fight, no-I-was-lying-THIS-IS-THE-VERY-LAST-FIGHT-OMG! ¬¬ At this rate, we won’t be seeing who is “she” for who knows how many chapters….
Anyway, I really like Hikaru, though… and I honestly don’t know who I want to win this battle (poor Hikaru! It’s not because this is TRC that Syaoran has to win~ ;_;)

– The discord spreading in their group like what Paris’ apple did between gods and mortals in the Greek mythology.
– The harvest of everything they sew at the begining of the TRC
– Announcement of the treason like Eve and Adam in Genesis
– The fall of the series
– Mokona had a new favorite cocktail in wich you put apple juice and deciced to draw that fruit whenever she can
– err… Clamp watch often the WWE championship and they are all Carlito’s fans
– No specific symbolism, they put something in the tree. ^_~
I perfectly know that I didn’t help you. I can be so vain. ^_^

The apple first appeared on the Sakura/Syaoran splash. So at that time I thought it had an Adam and Eve reference, sort of temptive but impossible love thing.
But then, it appeared again on Fye and Syaoran’s illustrations. So I guess I’ll choose the last option, “No specific symbolism, they put something in the tree.”

I don’t give a rat’s ass about Sakura or Syaoran. Hikaru showing up is interesting. I hope this doesn’t turn into a long-drawn out series of ‘last’ fights too. Lol, Fai keeps getting pwned- Kurogane pwned him with the ‘it’s not noble to refuse to talk and think nobody understands,’ now Sakura with the ‘please treasure yourself more than anything’ bit, and Eagle with ‘you can use magic.’

If we are going to assume that Syaoran, Fye and Kurogane will fight before Sakura, and if we give 1 chapter at least for each battle (but it’s probably going to take more than that, if you ask me), that means 4 chapters AT THE LEAST ._____.

Well, this is a shonnen manga, after all. it´s suposed to have a lot of action and fights- i´m happy about that, when it refers to clamp, their style is great, with that cool and beautifull poses, like the sword syaoran in this chapter-, so i think we are going to have at least 2 chapters for this Hikaru-syao encounter, one for kuro and 2 for Fye. I want to see fye fighting magic, but i dont think he will by his own will, with ashura awake. but maybe yes: if sya loses- i think its posible- and kuro wins, fye would be forced to win no matter what, so he could be forced to ure magic.

Poor Sakura. It’s almost like she is trying to give everyone one last true smile before she leaves. But it’s gotta be hard ’cause it looks like every times she touches them now she’s getting a flash of the future. I wonder if we are ever going to find out what exactly she is seeing…

Every time somebody surprises Fay, he makes the cutest faces. ^^ I like that Sakura is being nice to Syaoran and bringing out some of his cuteness, but…I don’t think is going help in her leaving at all. I’m a bit apprehensive of her niceness.
Human-size Hikaru did indeed look great, I wonder how he’ll be able to handle her. In AL she was a light weight doll and very swift in her attacks. Eagle is like Misaki in that he’s very attentive, this may be difficult.

Yo, Chibi-Yuuto! First of all, this chapter was really good! Demo, I need to clarify something…who is the master: Eagle or Hikaru?! O__o Yay, Sakura-hime not being angsty at all! Or is it…? I’m not really sure if she finally accepted for who he is.
Sugoi desu wa! Hikaru from Angelic Layer and Syaoran taking out his Li Syaoran-like sword. I haven’t seen that sword since Chapter 123 when he battled with the other Syaoran with it! I agree with somebody and with you that mention that Hikaru could come from Piffle World. Or perhaps from Edonis, but I may be mistaken about this assumption.
I don’t know about who do you want to win, but my money’s on Syaoran!!

I guess he is Hikaru’s “deus” but if they bring some other “angels” to fight against Fye and Kurogane, maybe Geo and Lantis will replace him. I want a Fye vs Wizard fight. ^_^ And err… Kurogane vs Shira-hime (yeah, for a matter of color, kinda). ¬_¬

Isn’t it? And Shira-hime is so perfect for Kurogane. I thought of Blanche first for Kuro, but Shira-hime fits perfectly in the ancient Japan theme. ^_^

I won’t complain if there’s only this one fight…but it’d still be interesting to see who CLAMP chooses to put against Fay and Kurogane….
But I think if they were going to do that, they’d put Syaoran and Hikaru up last….to be more dramatic or whatever

There it is something I don’t know. Whether Fye KNOWS or NOT what Sakura is up to. The first time they talked about it, I thought he did. But thinking well, later, I realized he was only “wishing for whatever she wishes”. He does know that is something that the other two won’t like it, though.

I LOVE; I LOVE; I LOVE THIS CHAPTER, AND I CANT WAIT TILL NEXT ONE!! You are right, the splash page is great. Clone-syao is far too cool than the others, including Real-syao- gomen nasai, kid. i love you too, but he is more sexy, hehe- So, the next oponent is Hikaru, i imagined that could happen, but why is Eagle at the seat? Where´s the misterious “She”? The master´s can change during the game? Or maybe “She” is the price or the person who will give the price to the winner? One interesting question: Why Sakura will be the only one getting the price or even deciding the price? Its not supose to be a team, so the rest of the members would also have the right to obtain and decide about the price? Why Eagle agree with that special treatment of her?
Well, my brain is begining to toast, so let it be. clamp always play unfair, so just accept the facts and enjoy the chapter. Because it was a great chpter, with that lovely s-s moment (oh, but i still dislike sakura) Oh, so Its LI Syaoran- maybe the forgotten theory of CCSsyaoran is true after all, ne Chibiyuuto^-^?- AAwww, but that pose of syao with the flamed sword is just too much for me!!! i love it!!

Sakura is smiling a lot in this chapter, she seems like her pre-tragedy self, but i think she’s just pretending…i mean, she is now determined to leave them, and she’s hiding all her sadness and angst…
I like what she said to Fye…he really have to value himself more, not saying “let me die” and all that 😦
(hey, isn’t it a recurring theme again? i think Watanuki used to get similar lectures, as he wasn’t taking good care of himself, or even doesn’t care about himself…)
i’m also surprised that R!Syaoran replied like that…@@ wonder what his real name is, or is he refusing to be called the same name as the clone?
sadly i don’t know Eagle, Hikaru and AL…but Eagle looks cute XP

That’s most likely right *nods* Although, we all wanted more Sakura at the beginning, everybody complained that she didn’t do a thing, so now I’m more than happy with all her involvement during the latest volumes ^____^

Totally! XDDDD That’s a very common thing among the CLAMP characters. When they get too DEEP into the caring-for-the-others thing, they forget about themselves. In Fye’s case, I think it has more to do with the fact that he thinks he’s unworthy of his life (which we still have to see why o.o)

involvement or no involvement, i don’t really care as i won’t dislike her for “not doing a thing” XP but that’s some character development ^^

i don’t think that “he thinks he’s unworthy of his life”, he just doesn’t have the urge to live or “stay alive no matter what”(so X, ne? XD), maybe without the motivation to? he doesn’t really mind if he has to die, not because he thinks that he’s unworthy but because he doesn’t care…
it may also have something to do with what happened in Celes, of course… can’t wait for Clamp to reveal his past~ (when will that be!? *sighs*)

Oh yeah it could be that too! Since apparently he was never loved by someone (or so he thinks). Indeed we would have to see his past in order to get a real conclusion.

Clamp has proved to create unexpected twists. What if the battle did not end? Like “Ashura-O suddenly appears, kidnap Fye and everybody goes to Seles to save him”?
More seriously, to be logical : Shaolan fights Hikaru, but then? If Fye and Kuro also fight one opponent each, who will do the final fight? Or will there be another opponent and a final one? In that case Kuro could be the second fighter, and Fye chosen for the last fight. If we go to Seles next, Fye shall play an important part versus “she”…

Ilove how Syaoran blush when Sak smiles and thanks him, he’s sooooo cute ~ but I feel bad for him if Sak leaves him to travel alone… Like that is the first and also last smile of Sak he could see…
But, Sak seems very confident that she will win, by tell Fai to worry about himself and smiles at Syao.
And yeah, I dunno who should I support because I love both *___*

o-o Heyheyheyheyhey!!! I just realized – I think we may have just stumbled onto another hint to R!Shaoran being from CCS! I can’t think of any source to prove it, but I’m pretty sure that the AL world is supposed to be the same one as Chobits AND CCS! And Eagle’s comment at the end of “this exists in your world” can only mean….XD! Oh CLAMP! You tricksters!
