As you might well know, the video has never been released before in any format, so this will be the very first time.
Along with CLOVER, Bandai will also release a special Card Captor Sakura DVD-Box entitled Card Captor Sakura THE MOVIE COLLECTION containing both movies of the series.

They just want to release it it’s own sake, after all they are releasing a special CCS box too… think they just got excited over CiW2… we’ll see…”
No need to say that I was more than happy to know that CLAMP will be drawing the jacket illustrations, I’m assuming they are going to be brand-new ones, which means new CLOVER and CCS art ! ^__^

It’s especially incredible considering how long it was this mythical, lost artifact of CLAMP fandom… But soon it’ll be a product available in stores all over Japan o_O Makes you wonder why they didn’t release it earlier.

Já tivemos duas linkagens com Tsubasa em HOLiC 11, não? A citação do “Mou hitori no Syaoran” como a terceira pessoa que salvou o Watanuki e os ovos que a Sakura conseguiu. O-o Ou isso foi no volume 10? Nossa, HOLiC tá com intervalos de tempo tão grotescos que nem me lembro… >_>
Ah, mas agora tem poucos cosplays de Inuyasha xD Tinha mais de Tsubasa do que de Inuyasha, pelo menos, hahaha. De Naruto e Bleach que tem uma PORRADA IMENSA de cosplayers, mas tudo bem… Também tinha uns souvenirs legais de Tsubasa, como o Syaoran Li do 3-D Land por 45 mangos (que eu comprei! ;_; foi mais forte que eu…) e bonecos de Resina de CCS por, no mínimo, 9 contos. (!!! Levei uma CCSakura naquele vestido branco e vermelho cheio de babados. =~) Isso fora aqueles volumes originais japoneses, cordões, DVDs e toucas de Mokona (Soel e Larg) e Kero-chan.

Ah! Pelo que eu soube, teve uma apresentação à la Miyuki in WONDERLAND também. E os cosplays eram de Kamui, Subaru e Seishirou de X. Se fossem os de Tsubasa, eu armava um teatro improvisado só pra fazer spoilers pro povo daquelas cenas fatídicas dos chapitres 117~124, que mudaram tudo. >8D *fdp* Se bem que eu tô pensando seriamente em fazer isso para a AF…

Sim, mais ou menos sao sim… tem tb uma roupa q a Yuuko usou tanto em TRC quanto em XXXHOLiC. Mas eu to esperando algo mais em “tempo real”, entende? Yeah, I think so… I don’t know if the original video was made in widescreen (even though it was made for the Theatres). Maybe they’ll have to stretch it horizontally to fit in the widescreen size? Or maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about xD
What makes you think it wasn’t made in widescreen? The video file we’ve all downloaded is clearly widescreen, and (as you say) it was made for theaters.
I’m pretty “squeeze” is just the Engrish way of referring to anamorphic widescreen on DVDs. It just means that the widescreen image is stretched to fill the entire DVD resolution (720×480) without any black bars, and then the DVD player and TV adjust it into the correct aspect ratio. It means the video can be higher resolution, and is the standard way of present widescreen material on DVD. (The other way is to just encode it the same as 4:3 material, with black bars as part of the image.)

We never heard of the reason of why they put it under a hiatus for a good 2 years, then I found a website with some info, not everything, but good part of it. Dude, it was too cheesy and melodramatic for me and didn’t really feel like a Sakura movie but badfic. That, and they dumbed Clow/Eriol down. Forgetting an emo, destructive card under the house? So, so OOC.
LOL as much UNPLANNED as it was, I still loved it. But I’m completely blind when it comes to Ohkawa. And I never thought he “forgot” the card there, did Eriol really said so? I thought it was more like he left it on purpose because in the wrong hands it could lead to chaos. And that house was propably some sort of kekkai XD
If it’s like you said, then it’s evene WORSE! It’s mean and abusive to a card, and Clow/Eriol wouldn’t do that.
I don’t know, it’s just fucked up. The whole concepts of magic in the movie are taken in a fucked up way that had nothing to do with the series. The Void isn’t only an emo kid, but a lame plot device to put Sakura and Syaoran together, in a way that could let them do a cash-generating film. It just didn’t seem romantic to me, and Sakura has more guts than she showed in the movie.

I believed in Eriol and Kaho when they said Clow needed the same amount of “negative” power to balance things. It goes with the same “balance” concept that Yuuko says all the time.
Sure, I believed that shitty explanation when I was less thoughtful. However! It still doesn’t make sense with the magic system. Then how do you explain that The Erase, The Dark, and The Shadow are “positive” cards? Especially Erase, who does almost the same as Void? There ARE cards balancing/contrarresting other cards, so I don’t understand how come Void had to be the SAME power as all of them put together.
I wouldn’t bring Yuuko’s arguments here. This is a movie for anime canon, and made in a time XXXHOLiC wasn’t created. Besides, Yuuko’s OWN Clow never gave a damn about balancing his cards. Hell, they’re even an even number, nineteen.

I have my concept of the storyline and I’m fine with it. For the cards, for example, I personally think they were just having a little fun, enjoying their freedom and playing pranks. In essense, they must be positively good, if well-used. It’s the same with Void, but he needed to create it or maybe the cards would be overcharged, not obeying to his orders, I don’t know ! XD I know he created it to “control” the huge amount of power of the other cards.
But we’re never ever find an agreement XDD We have different opinions on that matter ^^

Yeah, from my HOME, I can’t access it either. But I can access it with the computers from my university and from my work, too.
I don’t know WHY, but I think I know WHAT is happening. It has to do with IP-blocking, DNS and Proxy server, something around that. My university and my work must have their own DNS servers as well as proxy servers, that’s why they can access it… it’s just a guess because I don’t know what’s going on for sure… but it sure is IP-blockage because everybody else can see it.
AND, since those websites hide your IP, and since we can access it through them, I’m quite sure it’s IP-blockage.
I don’t think they (free.fr) did it on purpose, no, there’s no reason for them to do such a thing. More like something must have happened, like an accident, and they still haven’t noticed it ^^”
I know that some sites purposefully ban Brazilian isps. I remember that for months megaupload wouldn’t load here, and there were another few similar examples. It may be that they had a lot of trolls/ bandwidth stealing/ other bad experiences with Brazilian isps, hence. ^^;;

I thought about that possibility, but it doesn’t make much sense since Brazil is not even a country that “steals” a lot of the bandwidth. If they wanted to ban the “hungries”, they should ban USA, which is at the top of the list ^^” (I know because I keep track of that).
And it’s weird because I can access (and I believe you too) ANY other free.fr site. Like CLAMP No Lumiere, for example, I can access it normally. It’s just *MY* website T-T

It would be such a hard work to move everything to the new server. And I have lots of archived files, I would have to change the URLs for all of them =_= If you open my very early entries, the images will still be there !! XD because I don’t delete anything, I hate when I want to see an image and it’s no longer available, which is why I never delete anything so users will be always able to see them no matter how old the entry is xD
But don’t worry, I know it’s painful for this minority, as I am part of it, but thank god is only a minority. And I’ve found a way to cheat on it, it’s not that pleasant but it’s something… I hope the problem will go away just as randomly as it started… Thanks for your concern either way ^__^

As for CCS, I’m not sure if I’ll get it, I already own them both in DVD. I’ll have time to make up my mind until May though.
Since they release them late in May, I guess we’ll have Clamp in Wonderland 2 in early May, so the hype around it will make both Clover and CCS more fresh to the fans’ minds. I truly hope the Clover hype will last long enough for Clamp to write the last two tankoubon … but I feel like I’ll be disapointed. ^^;
Yeah, I’m expecting a April/May release for CiW2 as well… surely CiW2 coming first (and maybe you can have that lovely Box of yours with CiW 1 & 2, Wish, X² and CLOVER? ^^)

CiW1 will be the only music clip unavalable on DVD if they don’t release it on CiW2. If they haven’t released it with Clampazar, I suppose it means they plan for it. Wish was the only one unplanned and that’s why it was added to the pakage.

A big project, eh?
Since it’s from Takuya Matsushita’s board, I would think it will be OAD coming along with tankoubon. A movie or a drama CD project would have come from the Shounen and Young Magazines’ editors, since it’s has very little to do with tankoubon release. That’s pretty much the news we have been waiting for since the released of the second OAD. The two first opus of Tsubasa Tokyo Revelation seem to have sell well, there’s no reason not to continue.
He said “big project”, so I expect as many DVD as needed to complete the series. That would make at least one for Infinity, one for Ceres, one for Nihon/dream world and at least three for the last world, assuming there will be 28 tankoubon. Six other DVDs (I’m being conservative here it could goes up to 9). And they may increase the duration of each episode up to 45 minutes to keep the number of them low, they will run out of tankoubon at 9 OAD. XD
Since it will be a collaboration project between xxxHolic and Tsubasa, I guess it may be that they’ll do the xxxHolic side too, which won’t be part of xxxHolic’s tv series. Another three DVD might do (I’m sticked to multiple of three, but I just like the DVD case for three disks that was made for Tokyo Revelations XD). I wonder if Kohane is part of the xxxHolic/Tsubasa link or if they’ll be able to keep her out of the OAD. The story would be much sorter without Konahe’s part.
Anyway, I’ll wait for more information! ^_^
