It is amazing how, before, XXXHOLiC would always stay under TRC no matter what, but lately (this is 2nd time it happens) XXXHOLiC won over TRC on every single ranking o.o I’m not saying this to raise any competition issues, which is not my intention, I’m just pointing something out that I think it’s interesting and since I’ve been showing the Ranking results for some time now, I couldn’t help to notice it.
Good to see CLAMP in 3-D LAND figurines doing well, too. CLAMP ALWAYS kick ass on Animate’s ranking ^___^

I still didn’t have the chance to go back through the previous posts and answer all the unanswered comments, but since you mentioned it, I went there just to check it out ^__^ Thank you very much for taking your time to do that, I’m already downloading it (I was really needing a decent version of that Ending XD)

I actually didn’t know there was an ending until I saw it on my firends’ Gaian Profile. I love the ending its’ cute. I do hope they’ll make an anime out of it. There were some comments made on youtube *which I saw the video on* about an anime next year, but maybe its just a rumor.

The anime version helped with the black one…yeah…I don’t think TRC’s tv is capable of anything positive, really. Good va’s and music was it’s limit.

Congratulations indeed ^__^ It’ll soon reach the mark of 7 millions of copies sold, and that’s a hell of a lot for a Young Magazine series, I would say. I can’t understand why decide not to do the anime at this moment.

Yo, Chibi-Yuuto! Wow, omedetou gozaimasu once again to HOLiC. But Tsubasa place itself in solid positions as well. Checking out the calendar scans to make me have the upcoming year a promising one. I remember there was one time back in 2004, when I was in an office and there was an article on how Japanese influence affected in the U.S. On the picture page, I featured a picture of Sakura Kinomoto and it was mentioned that Cardcaptor Sakura was an example from that article.
Go CLAMP as they are making historical progress in the United States and perhaps one day in the world!!

The article was talking about the anime version of Cardcaptor Sakura and Sakura Kinomoto was wearing either the Platinum Costume or the Nurse Costume. Can’t remember of the costume very well, but sore wa daijoubu desu. And yes, it was very cool because my okasama showed that article to me!

Unfortunately, no cool programming is in this one. Turned out the desktop automatically arranges its files in alphabetical order, and that’s why the folder ‘teleported’ when I exit it. Damn… or should I say, phew!

XXXHolic vai muito bem! Bom, TRC foi o shounen mais vendido na semana anterior e está em segundo agora… Acho engraçado é a classificação de XXXHolic, está em “outros” no site da Taiyosha… não sei se vc percebeu.

Serio? Eu sempre faço comparações entre CLAMP e arte ^^ Eu gosto mt de Art Nouveau, e principalmente as imgs de XXXHOLiC, as texturas, algumas coisas são mt Art Nouveau ^__^

Não é de hoje que o Clamp tem esse envolvimento com Art Nouveau…
E com Mucha principalmente, deêm uma olhada na obra dele e depois olhem RG Veda, Rayearth, e algumas roupas de Sakura em Tsubasa Chronicle.

I would say it’s partially because of the anime o.o It had very good audience ratings and the DVD sold kinda well too.

Well, both stories are almost the same until they reach the Greed arc (beside some filler episodes), but after that, the manga is so much better. The only advantage of the anime is the extra Huges scenes. ♥♥
And anyway, with 25 minutes the episode, it’s faster to read the manga.

My!! Seeing how intense Tsubasa was lately, I was kinda expecting it to have a better ranking then XXXHolic ^^;; But I guess it’s alright that way too, since they’re both well placed 🙂
As for my calendar, I’m *STILL* waiting for it to arrive *cursing the slow Post and Shipping system in every language I know* but I *should* receive it in one week max *I hope T____T*; I guess I should be used to it, since it’s Japan–>Europe but I paid a super high price for a fast EMS this time, since I absolutely wanted to receive it quickly!! (EMS = almost the same price as the calendar itself in fact… T____________________T)
Well, I’ll stop complaining right now 😛 and thanks for the great news you always post in your livejournal ^_____^ I might not say it much but I really appreciate your hard work providing us all this ^__~

Holic victory feels a little bit like fair, altough I love tsubasa, Holic is not that commercial so with this kind of series I´m always happy when people recognize their content… And I think it will keep kicking “asses” for a while *__*

As for the rating, I’m glad xxxHolic do better these months than Tsubasa, since I like the first better. ^_^
There are many factors that may explain this phenomenon (sp?):
– the xxxHolic anime surely have reached people who aren’t natural readers of either Young Magazine or Clamp. Part of them are now following the manga as well.
– Tsubasa is splitting its own revenue between the standard and deluxe edition.
– The 2006’s season of the Tsubasa anime was not as good as 2005’s season, some people have dropped the series.
– Some readers weren’t too happy with the latest development in the manga’s story (Syaoran turned out to be an evil clone that half killed Fay, too much gay vampires per sqare meter, the gloomy and hopeless mood), so they either dropped the series althogether or just don’t mind to get it a few weeks after the release date.
That’s all I can this of right now, but I sure you had similar feelings on these issues. ^_~

I’m all for the XXXHOLiC anime. I was pretty much amazed by the audience ratings it got for a late-night anime. The DVD sold so-so too, people really enjoyed the anime. Then there’s the fact that the story was reaching a very interesting point.
