Ah, Yuuko’s storehouse… I love when it appears ^__^ I keep looking everywhere trying to find some items from other CLAMP works.
Ginryu and Fye’s tattoo are still there, then ! Glad to see them again. I wonder if they’ll be of some use to any shop customer? Kurogane wants to get his sword back, or so he says.
I wasn’t surprised to see the sword and the tattoo, though, because I had read a summary beforehand, but I was really surprised to see (the imitation of) Sakura’s staff again !!! Like “Whoa ! Look who’s here !” And what Watanuki said… about meeting CCS!Sakura and CCS!Syaoran, it got half a page… and we know what that means. I really hope someday that will happen too.
On the other hand, it got me wondering if Watanuki still haven’t realized that that Syaoran, the one who paid the price for him, is in fact CCS!Syaoran, or if he really isn’t CCS!Syaoran and we are all wrong. I’ll stick with the 1st one right now Watanuki is just too dumb XD

Anyway I’m really happy because I really like when there are customers, and this one really reminded me of Yuki, from CLAMP School Paranormal Investigators ^^ Only that, it seems, this one is really a girl…
So her house is scary…. hum… okay that one is easy, just attach Fye’s tattoo on a wall and it’ll seal whatever it’s haunting it XDDDD

And I can’t help it, but Watanuki’s “I’d like to meet them” reminded me of Fujitaka’s “I’d like to meet Eriol”… hmmm, we’ll see, we’ll see. *is obsessed*

The fact that I think our current Syaoran is CCS!Syaoran makes my hopes higher to the fact that we’ll see CCS!Sakura soon too. Before, it sounded way too much of a fanservice XD But not anymore ^^

I don’t know, this chapter made me seem less certain that the real Syaoran is CCS Syaoran. Yes Watanuki isn’t the brightest crayon in the box, but his little speech about them being in this world and wanting to meet them seems like a hint for sure. Which leaves two questions: is real Syaoran CCS Syaoran who was kidnapped, or are there two Syaorans plus a clone? (damn I hope not) And the other question: why in the heck is the Clow staff in Yuuko’s warehouse anyway? What did Yuuko do for Sakura that the price was the instrument of her power?
I have one answer for that second one: created the entire situation for both manga. Was it Sakura’s original wish that all this happen? That would square the circle quite nicely, in that Princess Sakura would = CCS Sakura and real Syaoran = CCS-Syaoran. But I don’t think even the Clow staff is enough of a price for that. Unless Yuuko’s love for Clow made her give Sakura a discount. ^_^
Another clear, darker hint seems to be Yuuko telling Doumeki to keep the egg with him constantly until the moment comes. Hmm, hopefully nothing quite as bad as falling out a 5th-story window will happen to Watanuki again. Oh well, back to customers.
And I’d be REALLY surprised if Kurogane & Fai didn’t show up to reclaim their merchandise before the end.

That staff is just a copy. Yuuko says so the first time that Watanuki saw it. We dont know ´how she got it, but we do know it’s not the real thing.

I’d say it’s a given that he’s going to meet them, the way the page and chapter was setup didn’t make it seem insignificant. I wouldn’t put it past this girls’ case having to do with them in the long run. I have to wonder though, what happened to Kohane?
Poor Mokona is drowning its worries in alcohol, Watanuki mentions the other one and it became all sad.

You never know when it’s CLAMP… or XXXHOLiC ^^ But I guess it would seen a bit weird to have Yuuko dealing with her customers while Watanuki is all bleeding XD

But maybe we didn’t see more customers since the portrait woman because we were stuck for a while on Watanuki’s point of view most of the time. Just because we didn’t see anyone… *shrugs* It could be either way for me, really.

Word on the therapy. I’m still wondering where in that world (Alice country) is Soel -white Mokona-, because for the Sakura flashback and the seriousness of them all, he/she/it can’t be having a good time right now.
I feel sorry the most for Mokona Modoki. Soel was kinda forced to travel with them as a price, and when it gets attached to them bad shit happens. And yet, it’d have to go on anyway even if it didn’t decide to follow its friends, because it IS the transportation. Larg on the meantime misses terribly its twin and suffers because of the bad shit happening to it and its friends in other dimensions.
Because really, Sakura, Fay, R!Syaoran, and Kurogane decided to continue the trip on their own will/egoism, but Mokona has no choice and it’s still selfless enough to do it for them.

I agree with you in that part. Mokona don’t have any choices but she know she has a task that need to be done. Clow had created them for a purpose that they will fulfil in this journey, I think, that is one of the reason why Mokona never complain on this journey. She also have some fun together with them but you know… ‘live happily ever after’ is not part of reality. However they share the pain together and unconsciously, their bond was growing stronger then before.

Yeah, he also wanted to follow her and comfort her. Too bad, Yuko didn’t let him. Well, he has Watanuki, Doumeki and Himawari to look after (Yuko said so). Probably the reason why Modoki can smile with (I don’t know, I’m not sure) with sad/painful expression in Holic 124 is that he can’t be at his dearly companion side in Mokona’s most painful time and he only can trust her that she will do the best with all her might.

Yup, but I think Mokona also want to see what will become of their journey because she already felt attached to them. She also sharing their bond. The road may not be swift after this but she still work hard to smile because Sakura, Fay, R!Syaoran, and Kurogane (and C!Syaoran before he left…) can feel happier if she was there. She understand this very well.
There goes our Mokona Modoki/Soel Larg, who are not egoist and full of compassion. ^^

Pffffft, so many interesting characters in that universe, and he’d get to meet another Sakura? I mean, this one is the smart one and all, but… yeah. I want to see Watanuki meeting, say, the other two Kinomotos. Or Clow’s guardians, which would cheer Mokona up. And the Eriol-tachi, but that wouldn’t be fanservice for anyone but me.

I didn’t realize how exciting it would be to have a customer show up again. ^^; But it’s like we’ve been on hyperdrive these past few chapters in TRC and xxxHolic, and now its time to wind down a bit. XD I can’t wait!

How come all of Yuuko’s customers are light-haired women? It obviously has something to do with them being customers and therefore not really “characters,” so it’s an interesting technique. Just something that always stood out to me.

You know, nearly all of xxxHolic characters are light-haired. Only our four main characters (Yuuko, Watanuki, Doumeki and Himawari-chan), some cameo (Rikuou from Gouhou Drug and Tatsumi from Yumegari) and a few walk-on (like the ghost in Doumeki horror story), everyone has light hair and often wears light clothing.
Oh, I forgot that Doumeki’s grand-father and the Washiki-Zarashi have black hair too.
Now for Yuuko’s costumers being all girls, I guess it’s because xxxholic is running in a young men magazine. ^_~

The majority of those, though, are spirits. But it’s an interesting idea.
I think the women thing is more about the “customers, not characters” thing, a one-dimensional thing. If you’ll notice, they all seem to have the same basic personality as well.

On that, Ohkawa said in an interview (right now I can’t remember which, sorry) that this is like a “flaw” of hers, the fact that she always end up using women to portrait Yuuko’s customers. Maybe she wants to show how there are still a bunch of weak women out there.

Well, I’ve never thought Real!Syaoran was CCS!Syaoran. XD I can’t decide whether I like the idea of Watanuki meeting CCS!Syaoran and Sakura or not. Since CLAMP went out of their way to mention it, I’m leaning towards it actually happening. Hmm, interesting.

also desperatly hoping that Watanuki is too nieve (read stupid!) to realise that the Shaoran he met was CCS Shaoran…would be rather annoying to again change how I think of Real! Shaoran!
Clearly the store and Yuuto have been more involved in getting Watanuki better recently, that a customer has appeared is a true sign that he’s all better!
Last but not least! Seeing the sword and the tattoo made me all excited that, perhaps, they’d find their way back to their respective owners…though the likelyhood of this is rather low!

I think there’s a high chance that Kurogane will get his sword back. He’s a man of word, but somethings might happen that can change his mind.
As for Fye, it WAS his more important thing, after all O.o But after all that happened (and maybe what WILL yet happen), I’m not sure if he’ll get it back.

I mean : if he does meet CCS|Syaoran, I will have nothing left to say about it…but Wata merely expressed his worries about the reasons why Real|Syao saved him and ended up wondering about him…but nothing say that CCS|Syao is there (‘there’=in this dimension) at the moment Wata expressed his wish to meet him…Furthermore, I’m even less convinced hearing that from wata = a guy who wouldn’t even be able to define himself or explain all what is happening around him (ghost etc…), so let’s not even consider the possibility of him knowing about people business and whereabouts…(I might sound harsh but the truth is I love Wata ^__^)
Now, if it was Yuuko talking about it and saying something explicit *for once* that would be another story…
Still, if Real|Syao is *indeed* from another dimension (=is not from the same dimension as Watanuki *which is CCS+XXXHolic dimension*), why in the Hell would he do any favor and waste an *expensive* wish for the sake of a guy who lives in another world then his own…? In fact, it’s IMPOSSIBLE for Real|Syaoran not to be from the same world as Wata : Real|Syao do NOT have the power to cross dimensions, how would he knows about the existence of Wata? The only way out would be that Wata actually is not from Holic world, and we would have to suppose that BOTH Wata and R|Syao are from another *unknown* dimension…but that’s going too far! I really don’t thing it’s the case ^^;;
I *think* I *at least* got something right from all the hints Clamp keeps on trowing everywhere : there IS a connection between CCS, TRC and HOLIC…if not, talking about Clow Reed all the time and shoving Sakura’s toy staff in our face + all the similarities (sword, blood descendant, magic circle, ying-yang orb, fighting style…) would have no meaning…

I agree, definitely. He COULD be from other dimensions… we find out that a lot more people know how to travel between dimensions than we thought in the first place. “News” and “information” can travel too. But yeah, all these hints, to me at leas, point to the same direction.
