TRC 134 + XXXHOLiC 122 !

They are up @ RoR, amazingly scanned by none other than Miss ladydarkmoon *bows and kiss her hand à la Fye*

Tsubasa

They are STILL so behind, time-speaking, and in the very same day *refers to Yuuko’s clothes* I think this will finally change by the next chapter.

We had a lot of very pretty close-ups this week, something that really lacks in Tsubasa, so good that we could enjoy some pretty, toned, face ^__^

They seriously need to change their clothes… Sakura must immediately wash her hair and put on an eye-patch XD

The Fye/Sakura moment was very sweet ^__^ He spoke french while directing to her, aww. But I must confess you that, and I’ll regret myself for saying this but I have to, in the frame when Fye’s approaching Sakura’s hand, I thought his vampire side would make an appearance. Alright I said it XDDD I hope I wasn’t the only one who thought of that

ANYWAY, this chapter was like, the calm AFTER and BEFORE the storm. “After” because, well, after all that happened, they needed to stop and think on what each of them will do next. And “before” because, we know there’s more to come XDD

Kurogane wants to meet (and do revenge?) Fei Wang no matter what, so he’ll carry on till the end.
Fye will stick together with his french princess, so he’ll be around for quite some time.
Sakura wants to bring back Syaoran’s memories (which means she and X!Kamui would have a lot to talk).
Syaoran, as expected, will join and move forward with the group because he, awwww, wants to protect Sakura ;_; Strange… I never felt like that with TRC!Syaoran XD They are the same, but they REALLY aren’t…

The last two pages made me think, about TRC, thinking back then when it started: “Who would have thought…”

XXXHOLiC:

So the name Watanuki picked for the bird is Tanpopo, which means Dandelion. I’ll probably stick with the japanese name.

The 3 (4?) of them seem very happy… but I wonder how much longer that happiness will last (things are way too peaceful XD)

The chapter’s highlight was definitely at the witch’s place xD Not only she was wearing one of her prettiest outfits ever, IMO, but the tricky woman also made some very interesting revelations O.o

Tricky, because she tricked US and the TRC gang big time. I don’t know if I got it wrong, but she had that magical egg all along, and just asked Sakura for it because well, there wasn’t anything worthy in that world XD And she needed to ask something in return anyway.

In that sense, she kind of made an exception for Sakura (because she didn’t really paid the right value. Well, she did pay it somehow with her little dangerous adventure, but Yuuko herself didn’t receive anything of big value). In that sense too, she helped Himawari on her own ^___^ (But maybe I misunderstood and I could be dead wrong, just keep that in mind xD). Indeed I thought it was too strange for that egg to be there in that world, I’m more than satisfied with the explanation. (EDIT: Apparently I was mistaken ^^”)

One thing I’m SURE, she called Sakura with Hiragana ^_____________________^ And what’s better, Sakura-CHAN. How adorable >.<

Then she also said some crazy things, the kind of things we'll only fully understand when we re-read XXXHOLiC, after it's over.

It doesn't end here, this week CLAMP finally made it cannon that Fei Wang was indeed behind the stolen souls from the winged-girl arc. Which makes my crazy theory a bit less-crazy (but just a bit XDDD)

I ended up telling some very unlucky people about this theory of mine in the comments of TRC 133. I said I was expecting more evidences before posting it here and I think I could say it now XD

So, I think Fei Wang’s wish is something around the lines of making his own, and maybe perfect, world. For what purpose, I have no idea, but that’s the big mystery, isn’t it?

Why I came up with this completely ridiculous, laugh-reason thing? XD

He wants Sakura’s memory bodies, right? Each of a different world, if possible. Which means he wants a “fragment” of every world (it’s what I think O.o). Like he wants only the “good” aspects of every world.

His wish is something “everyone can wish for, but no one can grant it”. I mean, who never thought on a perfect world? XD But it’s impossible because you must have the same amount of positive and negative things in order to reach the perfect balance.

This is where the souls get in. A perfect world needs good and just as perfect people as well. Wasn’t the girl from XXXHOLiC’s arc a very good student? A very good person too? Maybe Fei Wang will use these souls to “populate” this world.

You know what’s the best? I’m gonna read this someday and laugh XDDDD But it’s just something to hold on to at the moment, it’s good to have a theory, even if that theory would make a very crazy fanfic XDDDD

  1. I like your theory about Fei Wang’s wish, it’s really interesting. ^^ I’m a bit confused about the eggs, though. The egg she’s holding is the one Sakura gave her, and the egg Yuuko gave Watanuki is another one? *scratches head*

    I was wondering: now that Kuro Mokona wants to go with the TRC gang, they will never be able to communicate with the witch again?

      That’s what I understood o.o She said the one she was holding didn’t have any kind of magic.

      S/he/it wants to, yeah, but Yuuko cut it’s thunder by saying that it should stay with her protecting *something* These two kids will only be together again in the end, so it seems.

  2. I didn’t think his vampire side would come out because he isn’t a true vampire, in the sense that he can drink anyone’s blood. So I suppose he wouldn’t have a reaction to just anyone’s blood. Now, if it had been Kurogane’s hand he was kissing… *bricked*

    I think it is really cute that Sakura doesn’t care about Fei Wang Reed or that she’d be playing into his plan by trying to save Syaoran.

    The last page of HOLiC is just… beautiful!

  4. I’m just glad the wings thing was confirmed. It’s been driving me crazy since volume five. And I think Yuuko is about to drop the scary on Fei Wang. She has that “THAT’S IT!” look to her.
    I was never much of a fan before, but I now officially love the mokonas. especially Black Mokona.

  5. LOL, Fay’s vampire side XDDD but that would have broken the moment ^_~ So you think Yuuuko had another egg prepared just in case? I want that storm to come SOON! ^______________^ actually there are several storms nearby, but one by one will be the best option.

    Making a perfect world is a bit too ‘usual’ as a wish, I hope it is something more complicated, why do you want a perfect world if you’ll die? Or you will not have a person to share it with? it has to be a more emotional wish… (but not eternal live despite my previous line) the souls could be to load something IMHO!!

  7. Well, the way RSyaoran looks at Sak and said he wants to get back something, but if he can protect, he want to protect. It just, seem likes that RSYaoran knew that Sak’s heart belong to Clone!Syaoran, I guess he likes Sak too (for some reasons) but knowing that she likes other so he can’t do anything but protect her O___o My explain may confuse you, but, do you think it’s a triangle love or something? The way RSyao said that, and the way Sak looked at him, concern….

    • I think he does care for her, because she shares the same soul of the person he loves, but I don’t think it’s anything beyond that. I think he has his own Sakura and he’s doing it (helping her) because he cares for her (but maybe there’s something more, since he said he wants to get something back… the time he lost?)

  8. Guess Kamui’s radar was correct afterall, just that FWR is really screwing up the balance. If that egg was something that Yuuko already had, then I guess Sakura’s effort was the price.

    Your theory is pretty interesting, that is indeed something that can’t happen. A perfect world won’t work, balance is needed to keep order. From what I gather, each world has to be a certain way to keep balance between the worlds. I wonder if all these groups moving between them isn’t harmful, especially with magic users in worlds that aren’t supposed to have magic in the first place.

    Tanpopo is the cutest thing next to Kudakitsune, the sparkly eyes got me. XD

    The two series are really starting to tie in together, I’m really glad I’ve read both (otherwise I’d probably be really confused). Hopefully Watanuki actually tries to get some answers out of Yuuko when he gets back from school.

      I’m SURE it is affecting their balances… What they did in Shu/Sharano was to change it’s future/hystory completely. I believe they are really altering the course of the worlds, but I don’t know the consequences of doing that.

  9. I think what happened with the egg is that she somehow recieved TWO eggs. At least, that’s how I understood it. I could be totally wrong. XD But it seemed like she was drawing parallels between the two eggs (one magical, one useless) with the two Syaorans (one real and with Syaoran’s soul, and the other a soulless copy). Which would raise some interesting questions about wtf is going on with Fei Wang Reed. D:

  10. No no, with the eggs, they’re BOTH the one Sakura gave her. She says something along the lines of “In that world there is no magic of any kind, but the egg that I handed to Watanuki had hidden power. This egg, though, does not. There was only one when Sakura picked it up, but it became two. One thing that becomes two… two different things.”

    And Mokona asks, indicating Syaoran, is it because of him?

    To which Yuuko says yes.

  13. the concept of fei wang wanting a perfect world really does work and would help make sense of his wish to have sakura’s memories of seperate worlds.

    To the actual chapters though… I agree that XXXholic feels like its setting up for something HUGE, though whether it is a good huge or a bad one is something that will have to wait.

    The egg thing really confueses me, especially as in the translation I read of the chapter it seems as though the egg Sakura rescuses is actually the non magical half of the egg the bird came from…wondering how this is possible and am getting a brain strain doing as such.

    Tsbasa also seems like its taking a breath and that they’ll finally be stepping away from the X world…I hope we get some back story on the vampires before then, or that the duo trail along Sakura and the gang…

    Looking forward to where we go next with the gang!

    It could be very right.. or very wrong; i think its right, the only thing that makes me think its wrong is the fact that CLAMP always come with something UNEXPECTED o_O
    I also thought about Fye being a blood-eater in the SakuraxFye moment XD

    I hope they move to another world in the next chapter, im sick with the Tokyo arc, it was the best we have had in TRC, but this is getting really long (april-november??) o_O

  16. Hmm I have this theory that Fei Wang wants Watanuki’s powers as well.
    Remember the spider lady arc where Watanuki’s eye had the ability to magnify magic? And there was amewarashi who said Watanuki was a rare existence. And Larg!Mokona has to protect something in their world

    • You could be very right. All the weird creatures and the Sprites say Watanuki is very famous in *their* world. Everyone wanted his eye. Watanuki definitely has something to do with TRC, that we know for sure. But if Fei Wang is aware of him or not, it’s a good question.

  17. you know, the more questions Clamp answers, the more questions I have. I’ll buy your theory about what Fei Wong Reed wants, Yuuto-san, inasmuchas I’ve always thought he wants world domination.

    I’m still confused as to which Shaoran’s heart Sakura wants to get back…the clone’s I think. But then whose heart does real Shaoran have? Argh, so confusing. But it seems to me that the one Mokona has to protect is Watanuki, and that from the beginning Yuuko’s been intervening indirectly to keep him alive. He’s nearly died a lot, especially this last time, and I think his future is one of the ones for which the Mokonas were created. Is the other future Sakura’s? Well, in any case I think Watanuki is going to be key in defeating Fei Wong. Sidenote: I agree completely with your comments about the last two pages of TRC. I don’t think anyone would have predicted how dark and messed up it would get from the way it started.

      He has his own heart. He gave half of it to the clone but then, when the seal was broken, he got that half back again. Now he has one full heart.

  18. Ahhh….Too many questions and not enough answers…
    The fact Sakura wants to ‘get back’ Syaoran’s heart (from what I read in the translations) sounded wrong since he did NOT have a heart to start with : Real|Syao did all that hoping that his clone MIGHT grow a heart of his own and not be a violent beast anymore…which ended up being the case (eating Fye’s eye, destroying vampire’s arms and tossing Sakura aside as if she was trash…urrrhhh…).Then what? she will go to him and start screaming : ” Syaoran-kun, please remember us!! blablabla”…It’s just too…cliche if you ask me ^^;;
    The others ones didn’t say anything special, except for Real|Syaoran : “There’s something I want to get back. Maybe I can’t have it back anymore. But…If I can protect it, then I want to protect it.”…??!!!! WTH?! And he was looking at Sakura….
    /start of the crasy theory
    Real|Syao=CCS|Syao and TRC|Sakura=CCS|Sakura —>the CCS ones got into the “dream” *who knows how* and then, because of Fei Wong *who knows how* ends up in different realities : they’re two of them, they are the same but different at the same time; and Yuuko enters in saying “One thing turns into two. And into two different things, at that.” which may have some kind of connection with the “two futures” things we heard about in another XXXHolic chapter.Now, while ccs sakura ended up having a different future in another world, ccs syao did not and remembers her quite well *and also remembers that HIS sakura fell in love with his clone…**which would explain why he reacted to her words when he was fighting the clone and end up with a sword through his leg as a result** and we have then *translation of Real|Syao’s hidden words* : he wanna protect Sakura even if she will unlikely comes back to loving him or even remotely remembers his existence *___*| Now, don’t ask me what does Watanuki do in the middle of all that^^;; (I’m not convinced AT ALL by what I just wrote down there; in fact, I have difficulties understanding what I wrote myself, something *more like lots of things* sound wrong ^_^;;)

      I completely agree with you as I thought about the exactly same thing XD She’s either very wrong, and thus, will fail to grant her wish, or what she meant was to bring him back in another way. Or he really has a heart and it’s just not fully awaken yet (remember that Nataku from X is also a clone that was supposed to be heartless and, well, look what happened to him…)

      Ahahaha yes it is XD She might TRY to do that, but it won’t work XD Ohkawa said they’ll have to fight a lot in order to have their happy ending.

      I don’t know what it is that the real Syaoran wants to get back. Better, I have a hunch that he wants his time back, but of course, I’m not sure xD Maybe by helping Sakura, he would make the time he lost worth something.

  20. awww I’m so torn between the two Syaoran’s now ^^;;;

    I know most people have simply abandoned all hope for the Clone Syaoran, but I have a horrible feeling when I think that he might not go back to how he was… (I miss him!)
    Real Syaoran is lovely, and I hope he ends up happy (its so sweet that he wants to protect Sakura) but, I still can’t tear myself fully away from Clone Syaoran…. ^^;; I feel guilty.

    Sakura is a good girl going after Clone Syaoran… I think. She hasn’t just given up.
    ‘Oh well, there’s another one of him, we’ll make do with that’

  23. Yo, Chibi-Yuuto! Genki desu ka? You’re right that HOLiC won over TRC big time, but it also got me brain-fried!! X__o But Anyway, both chapters were really good.

    For Tsubasa, the fate of the five travelers have been decided. Kurogane saying that it is all right to have another promise was spoken like a true warrior! But what I like the most of this chapter was when Fai had gone French kissing Sakura-hime’s hand. OH LA LA!! I also like the part when the real Syaoran told Yuukot that he wanted to protect someone, meaning Sakura-hime. But the main question is…will Sakura-hime accept his help and trust? O__o

    For HOLiC, that was a lovely moment as the threesome spending lunchtime together. But what slightly dissapoint me and like Shadow-chan said was that there was not much of the Watanuki/Doumeki moment. *sobs* And as always, the bird “Tanpopo” is Total Love being cheerful with Himawari. Kawaii!! ^o^ *faints*

    Finally what intrigued me the most of this chapter that got me brain-fried was the scene of Yuuko and the Black Mokona. That would be cool if the Kuro Manjuu crosses to where the Shiro Manjuu is… But I’m surprised that Yuuko knows where Fei Wong Reed is and that she wants the dream to end. But what is this you saying that he is taking souls?! This is the part that truly got me brain-fried!!! UWAAA!! *rambles her brains* I guess I need to read the key points more closely.

    so..o.o well XD finally I was waiting for a not thaaat tense and cold chapter, I needed some warmness in tsubasa XDDD :3 so real!syaoran will go with them as we expected and probably wanted XDDDD, I don’t think there’s a triangle love as some people (not referring to anyone here, saw it on a forum) think, I think r!syaoran has her sakura in other world (hopefully, ccsakura XDDD) and he,well..has to have some afection for this sakura since their soul is the same, but don’t think is love…it would be more dramatical if it was XDDDD but it’s not like if we didn’t have enough drama in tsubasa XDDD…and holic chapter!, loved it! :3, yuuko looks so cool X3. Yes! a theory from you!, it makes sense o,o, I’ll believe on it until another clue shows up and changes everything we ever got thought was true XDDDDD or! makes the theory even more stronger!     As you can see he doesn´t used “perfect people”, he used people without will, weak in some aspect or have something bad. For example, the xxxHOLiC girl wasn’t honest to her self, since the feathers express all the feeling she hid. She was weak in that aspect. Another example in Tsubasa. Dark Syaoran, Kurogane and Fay have a dark and sorrowful past. Therefore, they have darkness and pain in their hearts, their souls. That can explains why they were used as tools by Feiwan. However, not everything about your theory is bad at all. Since Feiwan is using “dark souls”, he is gathering all bad things, that if you change the same amount into good things, it can be a perfect world as you say.

    By the way…maybe Sakura didn’t give something “material of value” to Yuuko, but that doesn’t mean that she didn’t pay the right value. Non material things can be a type of pay too. For example, Yuuko told Watanuki that people can even pay with their souls. Real Syaoran paid with his time. So, Sakura’s effort can be considered as the payment, or a wounded and suffering sakura is not enough? XD

      I meant that she paid it with her effort, and I definitely agree that material values aren’t necessarily greater than non-material values.

  28. Yes, of course I remember ^___^ Ohkawa said on the 2nd Character guide that that scene is stricly related to the end. I do believe that is a real scene that will happen in the future.

      I was just wondering, on the subject of the opening scene of Tsubasa, what would you say about it, now that we are way over 100 chapters into the story? The one thing that gets me is how Syaoran looks exactly the same as in the beginning. Both eyes back, his first outfit mostly intact…O-o How are they supposed to work that one out? Is it truly a flashback of some form? Is it even really Clone!Syaoran? >> What do you think?

        Personally, I think we shouldn’t expect that the only Syaoran from that scene is the clone. Now we have 2 Syaorans, and I really think it could turn out to be the real!Syaoran, the one from that scene. He had both eyes brown, just like the real!Syaoran.

        As for the clothes, remember when Yuuko got them on Shurano? ^_~ Maybe the real!Syaoran will wear them soon.

        • Ah, my thoughts exactly – We really can’t say which Syaoran it is now. (though the odds are on Real!Syaoran, of course)

          Eh? Yuuko took there clothes? o-o…..I’m getting a memory blank there. 😀 But hey, if that’s the case, then it really is understandable.

          Of course, on a side note, my big hope is that we get to see Real!Syaoran’s Sakura, whether it’s CCS!Sakura or not. Course, if it is, that’d probably be unlikely, given the ending of CCS, but I can dream right? 😀 In the least, may they make it official who our new Syaoran is.

  29. Thanks for translation. By the way I have another quesiton. Will Kamui or subaru joined with Mokona’s dimension travel? Especially Kamui need to join with sakura. Because He made change of shaoran’s heart, and he had a responsibility of this.
