I’m later than usual this week because well, I’ve been busy… stuffs are happening… things are changing… and there are other priorities in life, I hope you’ll understand.
But here they are, at The Room of Requirement for cleaned up scans of TRC 122, scanned by none other than ladydarkmoon-sama~
Yes, quick comments because today I don’t have time for a full report @_@ Not to mention that, due to the delay, this chapter is OLD news already xDDD
– The eyes are PRETTY ! Big pupils, Syaoran sometimes have light eyes too *-*
– I think that, after seeing his fight techniques, no one can tell that he’s NOT CCS!Syaoran, right?
– Hang on, wasn’t the Ying Yang thing in Fye’s hand? O.o So that’s ANOTHER Ying Yang thing, representing half of CCS!Syaoran’s heart? o.O
– CCS!Syaoran got his eye back ! Now he’s perfect to return to Japan and CCS’s end xD
– Apparently CCS!Syaoran didn’t make it, I’m assuming that he failed to avoid the clone of awakening.
– Kurogane noticed Fei Wang’s symbol ! Now DO SOMETHING ! MAKE QUESTIONS !
– The bastard used Fye’s magic again to cheat on Mokona ! And what a cheat ! o.o
Let’s wait for the next week to see who is going to turn into a tasty barbecue xDDD

The thing is, people thought he was CCS!Syaoran because he looked young while in the tube-thing, right? Well…is it just me, or does he look WAY OLDER ever since he broke out? Seriously? What’s up with that? Meh!

I think so too!!! At first I though I was going crasy and was imagining things, but it seems like other people (like you for example ^_~) had the same impression 🙂 –> CCS|Syaoran definitely looked older in my eyes and, like Chibiyuuto said, when I saw his fighting technique, there was no doubt left in my mind : this IS CCS|Syaoran or Clamp planned something even more surprising for us in the next chapters, maybe…?

I agree with you that it IS CCS/Syaoran (I don’t know what other Syaoran it could be, really), but I think the one thing that would definitively prove the case would be if he used his (CCS-style) magic. Which I was hoping he would do in this chapter, and he didn’t. (The evil clone used Fai’s instead! And that killed me! Argh! Especially after Fai NEVER used it!) But at least real-Syaoran got his heart back. Though I don’t understand how the clone could have had ANY heart. I’m so confused…
What I want to know is what real-Syaoran wasn’t in time for, and why Yuuko looked so freaking emosad. I think, in over 200 chapters of TRC and Holic, that’s the saddest she’s ever been.

If it is CCS!Syaoran…I’m not so sure anymore. It’s not just because of the age change (remember how young Seishirou looked?). I mean, he does have the whole feel, but I think their only real “canon” crossover might be with xxxHOLiC. That, and I’m kind of in denial because it doesn’t look like this Syaoran has any real personality either.
Btw, I think I used one of your wallpapers for my desktop background once. xD It was cute.

You could very well be right about real-Syaoran not being the CCS-Syaoran; it’s certianly true what you said about the crossovers: Everyone but the xxxHolic crew is a different version of a previous clamp character, not the character him/herself. It just seemed to me that most of the central characters have only one version of themselves, which is why I thought that there could be only one Syaoran. But the same is true of Sakura; maybe they’re the exceptions to the rule.

I thought that the fact that they never ran into versions of themselves or in fact even considered the idea was either just a plothole or a device they were planning to use later. Yuuko’s the only one who’s “special” in that regard. Or I dunno. I’m just going by my experience with this kind of thing in American comic books. xD

XXXHolic and CCS world are the same : so the fact that the only “canon crossover”, like you said, seems to be only with XXXHolic, increase the posibility of him being CCS|Syaoran, since he is from Yuuko’s dimension ; which would also explain why Clamp took the pain to put a scene where Yuuko’s talks about Sakura’s staff in volume 1 I think…, which would be totally useless if it wasn’t to be used further in one of the 2 mangas (TRC or XXXHolic), but Clamp made it CLEAR from the very start, that they were all from the one and same world 🙂
But I have to confess that it would be weird if he really was Syaoran Li. Weird…but really exciting too!! XD XD XD

They did? Er…I must have missed that. Huh…I just thought that having Sakura’s staff in there was another crossover, but then I realized that the crossovers are Tsubasa’s schtick, so I guess they are from the same world. Huh. Never though of it that way. Still a little skeptical…but it does indeed seem a lot more likely. 😀

Actually, he first showed up very old on a dream Syaoran had when they first landed on Rekort. He suddenly grew indeed and that is something will have to explain.

Eu tenho notado um monte de ódio dirigido a Clonesyao. Coitado! Exatamente como o Tubosyao diz no capítulo, os sentimentos do Clone pela Sakura não vêm do coração do original, mas do próprio clone! (afinal, Tubosyao tem OUTRA Sakura pra quem voltar :D) Clonesyao é quem está sofrendo mais na história, sendo usado sem nenhum escrúpulo por FWR.
Algumas pessoas pensam que os dois vão se tornar um, ou que o original vai matar o Clone, e algumas pessoas estão tendo ataques de histeria achando que, quando o original disse que os sentimentos do clone pela Sakura não vinham do coração original, ele queria dizer que não gostava da Sakura. (HAHAHAHA COMO SE ISSO FOSSE POSSÍVEL PRA UM SYAORAN.)
Se bem que o que causou a reação mais forte foi Kurogane segurando Fai, aparentemente. Que prioridades…

Seja TuboSyao = CCSSyao ou não, ele tem uma Sakura. O Syao da TRCSakura = CloneSyao, isso está claro.

É porque vc não viu o tópico do cap 122 no Tsubasa Forum. Parecia que todo mundo queria que alguém matasse o Clone! Dizendo que, já que ele não tinha mais sentimentos ou coração, não fazia diferença… seria um ato de piedade… era nojento de se ler! Sem falar nas meninas que achavam o fato do Kurogane estar ENCOSTADO no Fai mais importante que qualquer outra coisa no capítulo, incluindo o fato da Sakura ter acordado, de TuboSyao ter aparecido e do Clone controlar Mokona. Humanos desprezíveis ¬____¬

He grew up in one of the chapters, I don’t remember which one though…
Syao-kun sees him as a child, and then he’s an adult, and then he’s strangling Syao-kun… CLAMP’s so good at confuzzling us… XD

Err…I understand what you mean, about page 11…but maybe he meant Sakura “over there”, not “his” Sakura…I think? ^^;;
But, if he isn’t CCS|Syoaran, then…it means that he is “just” yet another Syaoran from who knows which dimension? Furthermore, we see him since the very first volumes of the manga, there MUST be something big about his existence and the fact he is the “original” Syaoran : I don’t think that after making him appear everywhere in the manga, Clamp are just gonna say : well, here comes another Syaoran from XYZ dimension, that’s all…or what? add 1 or 2 volumes to tell us about that Syaoran story and how he ended up cloned and sealed on a tube for years? It’s just seems to be too much for me…
Anyway! CCS|Syoran or not, something is clear for me : he must have been created by Clamp for something important! Furthermore, the fact he was cloned, means that Fei Wong couldn’t control him directly and was forced to duplicate him, right?
Arrgghh!!! Too confusing!! All this is going to make me go crasy!! Let’s wait till next week and see what happens! 🙂

Original Syaoran is really cool. And yeah, he shares the fighting techniques of CCS!Syaoran, nevertheless I think Clamp have proved we cannot guess what they are planning, so let see later which Syaoran it is. I just hope we’ll get to see his Sakura… God, a Sakura which was separated from her Syaoran by an evil sorcerer could be a very interesting character. I’m waiting chapter 123, and above all chapter 124 because it will be the end of tank 16, so expect big things

well, what to say about 122… Aaaah, i love the fighting scene!! Both syao looks so cool. What thoughts had cross sakura´s mind when clone-syao stared at her, when she discovered his blue eye and his cold expression? But also i think i found a light in the tunnel, because, in real-syao words, clone-syao do cares about sakura, without the impulse of real-syao-heart. so there´s still hope about our lovely syao, clone-syao…and yet another week. geez, i´m going to explode!!

Yeah, you’re right, that would be crucial to the end, I guess. It’s the key to everything. In the end, the clone will probably realize his true feelings.

I hope CLAMP won’t make “TWUU WUB” as the reason he’ll go out of his berserk mode. That’ll be really lame. I hope Sakura uses some magic or something nifty..heheXD(Since it’s pretty obvious Sakura’s the only one who can wake him from his berserk mode)

For the Yin Yang thing….I think Fye had it, then used some magic to try and get Syaoran to take it when he took Fye’s eye….RealSyaoran said something like that….
So when evil Syaoran took Fye’s eye, he also took back the Yin Yang. But it failed since there wasn’t a seal to hold it in place. That’s why Real Syaoran was able to take it back.
That’s how I took it anyway ^_^
I, for one, really hope he’s CCS Syaoran XD I mean….he aged during the time he left Sakura to go back to Hong Kong and by the time he came back and the veeeeeeery end of the manga….it could work! lol

I’m weirded out by the idea of CLAMP taking CCS and raping its happy ending. Not surprised, but weirded out and a little sad. I mean, Sakura towards the end of CCS grew up a lot in a short amount of time, but I really hate the idea of her having him torn away from her again. They were such sweet kids.
I am however confused as hell what’s going on. The Syaoran that showed up was in a test-tube till very recently and might be CCS!Syaoran, right? Then the one who stole Fye’s eye is the clone made from test-tube Syaoran. This clone is also the one who we’ve been since since chapter one, right? And then the *real* Syaoran from Clow Country is elsewhere?

I’m probably wrong, but I don’t think there was ever a “reaL” Clow Country Syaoran. I think the Clow Country Syaoran was the clone from the start–Fei Wong created him and then Fujitaka adopted him. Though he did meet Seishirou at some point…I forget when that happened…before the clone met Fujitaka, I guess.

As for the recent events in TRC and their relation to the ending of CCS…..the way I see it….if Tube!Syaoran is the CCS!Syaoran….then he was imprisoned after he returned to Hong Kong (after Sakura chased him down and gave him the bear….all that). Then all this TRC stuff unfolds…then he returns to Sakura, who is still in Japan, possibly unaware of all this happening. The only thing I can’t account for is the letters the two apparently were writing to eachother during the time Syaoran was gone…..
But it’ll be interesting to see what happens ^_~

MMm, maybe his mother took over? I don’t think the first movie is particularly manga canon, but if we take into account that she was pretty smitten and cool with Sakura…
Sadness though because clone!Syaoran was a pretty sweet and cute kid also.

Much love for this chapter and am very glad that CCS Shaoran got his eye back. Am hopeful that Clamp don’t spring another surprise as far as CCS shaoran’s identity goes as I’ve only just gotten used to not calling him ‘Evil’ Shaoran!
He definatly looks older now than when he was in the tube…perhaps fresh air is aging him.

Well, IIRC, the grown up CCS! Sakura&Syaoran look pretty similar to the TRC!Sakura&Syaorans. I don’t know if it’s relevant to anyone else’s theories, but I’m too wired off of frappucino to think 😮

I have to say that whether Syaoran is from CCS or not is inconclusive. I think the truth about who he really is will be revealed in later chapters. Kurogane protecting Fai kind of reminds of the Touya/Yukito concept from CCS (Good for those fans). That was emotional (Good for those fans). What was also emotional is that I knew that Sakura was going to discover it after the real/Syaoran appeared and said those words from page 11 of the chapter.
I am thinking that not only the clone/Syaoran is going to use Fai’s magic not only for attacks (Confirmed) but to use it as a way to travel dimensions just like Seishirou (That is in theory). Poor Yuuko, all angsty and sad that she could not done something in time. Love the fighting sequence, it was all great until the clone/Syaoran once again uses Fai’s magic to acquire Hien and apply to it (Hidoi!) And once again it had to end the chapter with another cliffhanger. I’m thinking that real/Syaoran will evade the attack from the clone/Syaoran with some kind of power (Again in theory).
Can’t wait to see what happens in Chapter 123 (only one week this time – yokatta!) Thank you for the scans.

Yeah, later we’ll have some CANON explanation whether he’s CCS!Syaoran or not. However, I believe CLAMP is giving a lot of clues so that the true fans will immediately realize who he really is. And IMO, there has been enough clues pointing that he IS CCS!Syaoran, but, we shall wait and see ^^

In one of the Chapters they mention that the real Syao is the only other descendant of Clow besides Fei Wong..*forgets which*..Makes me think it is CCS Syao…and I’m leaning towards the Sakura comment being towards Princess Sakura and not CCS Sakura. Or maybe something went awry…Clow’s Line to Yuuko about the dream not ending…? What dream? OOOH and did anyone see the anime ep with Mokona as the artist? It looked awfully like CCS with a mix of TRC themes…maybe that’s a forshadowing of what lies beneath the ruins in Clow country?

Well, I’ve been thinking about that “dream” thing too for a while now, but never talked about it in my comments because we really don’t know anything about it…but it SURE must be important for the girl (the one that was always with Fei Wong and ended up killed by him few chapters ago…) to betray Fei Wong and help the CCS|Syaoran to escape and go to Yuuko’s dimension, right? And Yuuko’s face when she talked about the dream thing was kinda scary too… which made me conclude that it definitely wasn’t refering to the fact Sakura and Subaru were sleeping…but apart from that, who knows what it might all be about…?
