Tsubasa Anime (bad) news

Don’t hate Tsubasa anime enough? Wait till you see this:

Apparently, the second season won’t start in the Country of Idols as in the manga, it looks like it’ll start on Piffle !

As if they didn’t make enough bloopers on the 1st season *ahem* It seems, however, that Yamano’s arc will be there since they mentioned on some anime magazines, it just won’t happen before Piffle’s like in the manga. If you don’t see it as a problem, good for you, you’ll love the 2nd season. But I do and I hope they have a good reason for all this playing around.

Sorry for my temper, I just really didn’t like to know that u.u

Why are they starting at Piffle?! Although I wouldn’t mind seeing Tomoyo so soon… but!but!!! I was soooooo looking forward to seeing Ashura and Yasha-ou~~!!!!

    _(_ _”)_ *disappointed*

Maybe perhaps they’ll put it after Piffle? …But I don’t understand why they’re mixing up the order… and if they’re excluding Sharano and Shurano, I would be really sad (ToT)!!!!

  2. EHHH???

OMG!!!! Why are they doing that!!!! T_T
Ohhh well…. I do hope for a GOOD reason too.
maybe it is because Yamano is the long one and they want to leave it to the end like in Outo… just guessing

    • Re: EHHH???

I’m guessing that, in the producers’s eyes, it’s MUCH better to start with a race than start in a country with nothing but a tornado and strange rabbit-like animals =__=”

  3. I don’t think it’s a good idea to switch arcs around, not when you’re dealing with a group like CLAMP, who carefully works in character development and plot points – which are time-sensitive. Now perhaps if a very talented team were doing the adaptation, I wouldn’t be worried, but that is *not* the case here. :p

WORD ! If they follow the original scripts from the manga, they might be doing some story gaps >.

Maybe they just… no… I have no idea. I give up. People just can’t leave well enough alone. I just want to know if they’re gonna blow the entire series budget on the music this season like they did last time. I’d rather the show look pretty than sound pretty.

  6. THEY WHAT?! Sure I like Tomoyo-piffle-princess and everything but what about my Ashura-ou! *pouts* Not to mention seeing Syaoran dressed as girl and Sakura kissing his eye!

    Here’s another theory:

Bee Train executives: You know what the fans need the most? More alter Tomoyos! The more the merrier! Let’s skip some arcs and get right into a canon one! After all, we’re paying Maaya Sakamoto a lot of money, so we’d better use her!

That, or they think Sharano/Shurano is too bloody and they don’t know what to do, since we know their policy on dead bodies after episode 1. And shit, I wanted to see the bunny world because it has a Yukito (and Touya) flashback moment!

Hear that sound? It’s the sound of a forehead banging against a wall, since the desk is not hard enough.

    Like

    • HAHAHAHAHA nice theory XDDD They are sure using Maaya as much as they can xDDD

But why pushing it forward? It won’t make the dead bodies disappear. I don’t think that’s the reason. Maybe they only want to be “different than the manga” *rolls eyes* ¬¬

With that stupid play, what if the whole “let’s give 4 gifts for the Wicth!” thing gets cut? They lost their clothes in Yamano ! And Sakura and Tomoyo make a dress for Yuuko on Piffle. If they start already on Piffle, there won’t be nothing like that >_

      • Speaking of clothes, in the movie, they arrive with some strange, different clothes to the cage country.

Where the fuck did they get those ones? Maybe Yuuko took over their clothes before the movie?

No, wait, she would’ve reminded them of White Day during the movie.

Shit. No logical explanation or theory. This must be filed in the unexplainable files of Bee Train/Production I.G.

  8. I love the picture you linked to… but I don’t understand why they need to mess around with the story so much 😦 A few changes here or there I can just about understand, but a whole story arc!?! 😦

      • It just strikes me as… I don’t know, un-necessary I guess. Unless they want to break people in with a light hearted arc, or to bring in extra iewers by bringing in Tomoyo all the more quicker… but I just don’t see the logic in it 😦

That said, I know I’ll still be buying a cheap bootleg copy of the series in about 12 months time :p

        • Me too, I will still watch it, but it’s sad to know that it won’t be as I wish it to be. But oh well, not everything is how we wish to be and we have to deal with them u.u

Another of their painful bloopes (and may the bigger one, for now..)
Tsubasa is my favourite and beloved manga so far, can’t allow what they have done and do >_.

  11. Damn, and I’d heard a rumour that they’d sold Tsubasa to Production ID for good. No luck, I guess. Maybe they’re trying to draw attention away from the huge plot holes that last episode will create later on. Or maybe they really just can’t draw action scenes, and they’re taking lessons before they get to the Syaoran vs. Kurogane bits. And the animation in the movie was just so incredibly better, I was so hoping that maybe the second season would be different.

  13. What?! Piffle?!
    ARE THEY INSANE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

OK, personally I don’t have anything against Piffle, but isn’t the Sharano/Shurano/Yamano storyline fairly important? Say, for the sole reason of seeing an Ashura look-alike and getting more info on Fye (*cough cough*)?

And duh, Maaya only said a few phrases in Season 1, it’s only fair she gets to say and do more (I’m wondering how she acts out Tomoyo’s fixation with Sakura). But still… *snatches keyboard and starts banging it against computer screen*

WHY IS THE ANIME SO DAMN SCREWED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING!!! @_______@….how can they start in piffle!!!??? omg…I thought they didn’t want to reach the manga so fast….oh hmmmm at least they’ll put the country of idols later maybe …but hey! ohkawa knows what she was doing putting first country of idols ….well…I won’t hate tsubasa anime for that…I still luv it….buuuut they surely disappoint me changing things like that….they did with first season….so @_@U they’d do it with season 2 I guess…yeaaaaah…@____@ waaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! it’s not right…buuuut well…they may have their reasons…and I hope their reasons are good…because if they’re not…….-grumbles- @_@ well better the 2 opening is good, that’ll cheer me up @_@

That would be me! 😀 Come on, the arcs in Tsubasa are clearly designed to stand alone – it’s pretty rare that anything important happens in the grand scheme of the series. There are all sorts of possible reasons for wanting this arc to go first in the new season (which can probably all be summed up as “it’ll get better ratings”), and I don’t think it’ll hurt the series in any tangible way.

I’ll be disappointed if they remove the Country of Idols arc entirely, but I seriously don’t see that happening.

    Out of interest, were any of you ever upset by the HUGE amount of things shuffled around, changed and removed (not to mention added) in the CCS anime? People seem very hung up on faithfulness to the source material, but I can’t actually think of a CLAMP adaptation that has been more faithful than Tsubasa. I realise I’m not going to change anyone’s mind about the Tsubasa anime, but it really puzzles me ^^;

    • >the arcs in Tsubasa are clearly designed to stand alone

Yes they are, but we can’t prettend it’s risky. They can make some plot holes by changing the course. If they stick to the manga’s script, they might say things that are yet to happen.

      > were any of you ever upset by the HUGE amount of things shuffled around, changed and removed (not to mention added) in the CCS anime?

I suppose I was bloody lucky to have watched the anime first than read the manga ^^ I really don’t know how I would react in case I have read the manga firstly. BUT, as we all know, Ohkawa was in the series composition, so everything was under her control, not to mention she wrote the big majority of the scripts (which means she could totally do that in the manga too).

I’m really hope this won’t create any problems because I really want to enjoy the anime. It’s just that my first reaction wasn’t the very best, because you are very right, they WERE until now very faithful and I hope they can go on with that.

Anyway, I’m hoping the best for the series and I hope that won’t make me dislike it (it would be much easier if they told us CLAMP approoved that, at least for me xD).

I’d go Mad House any day over Bee Train.
Makes me wonder what they will do with Kuroganes past….
