The 1st teaser is already available at the Official Site
This is what we can call a “teaser”. I mean, the video is about 40 sec long and there’s only one scene of Yuuko (who looks absolutely great, btw), the rest is some catch phrases à la XXXHOLiC and of course, Tsubasa’s ad.
Thanks for putting “CLAMP” really big on the center of the screen ^__^
We have now more info about the staff, you can check them here.
The staff is REALLY good indeed! Most of them worked on Ghost In the Shell and have a great background.
Some points:
– The storyboard will also be by the director.
– The chara designer made Vampire Hunter D (goo~od) and Blood: The last Vampire (also good)
– The art director did X’s movie art direction! YEY!
– The audio director is totally Ghost in the Shell, he also did The Vision of Escaflowne’s (TV), Mononoke Hime’s and Wolf’s Rain’s ones.
– The color design is by a… hum… seiyuu o.o who worked on Angelic Layer… weird.
– The prop Designer also worked on Miyuki-chan (not as a prop designer, though. In fact, if someone could tell me what a prop designer do I’d be glad ^^”).
I’ll wait for anime news network database on Tsubasa’s staff. But what I can tell in advance is that some of them don’t have a very good background, I’d say (aka, they didn’t work in too many well-known projects), the art director is goood, though, she worked on lot’s of Ghibli’s.

prop is all the furniture, weapons and objects you use on set, so it’s basically all the accessories you will see on screen outside the wears

People do that when they adapt something from Shakespeare, that doesn’t mean anything outside the fact they are suckers for respectability….

The music sounds great!
Yuuko’s voice sounds great! (I specially like the second line)
The little animated scene looks great! (they should have done less kaleidoscope and more animation, though)

Yoshida Sayuri is the colour designer? At least she’s a good seiyuu. ^_^;;
The trailer is great. The music – it reminds me of Gankutsuou. The narrator – I don’t know if it’s Oohara Sayaka, I haven’t heard her that much, but sounds so great! The animation – didn’t quite get it here, only stills, but Yuuko seemed wonderful. I have the odd feeling that this movie is going to be good. [And usually movie animation IS better than in TV series, so this’ll turn out well, let’s hope…]

I don’t know either… but I know they are à la XXXHOLiC because there are “Anata” “Negai” and some others words à la XXXHOLiC ^^

I can’t listen to the trailer right now, but I remember that the first things she says should be something like this: “I will fulfill your wish, but you must pay [of “if you pay”] a price for it”. I donät remember the rest… -_-;;

I went on the Production I.G. web site, and read a little note: ＊同時上映 (Simultaneous screening). Does this means … does this means both movies will be showed as one movie (which is to say two movies of a hour each back to back)? I hope not, Holic deserve 1h30 (well it deserve 2h30, but Japanese theatrial animation tend to last 1h30).

Now that really fits the XXXHOLiC mood! Music, narrator, colours, character design… can’t wait for August to see the results *_* Being a sucker for both XXXHOLiC and Shakespeare I’m really excited about a combination of the two XD

Very good, indeed. As many pointed already, the music is great, and it’s nice to see Yuuko animated decently, she reeeally deserves that.

Oh. My. God! Production IG has always made outstanding animes, and IMHO they are going to make a bug hit ^^

Yoshiaki Kawajiri-sensei is the art director of XXXholic???? Nice news!! He’s the best chara designer for movies -despite he also did X TV- around here these days! *___* But… Blood’s chara design is by Katsuya Terada, so I’m kinda confused here ^^; Anyway, Terada is also a great artist!
Plus, the music! I value a lot music in animes, and recruiting a Ghibli composer for XXXHolic is great!
For what we can see, the movie will surely have the (smoky) spirit of the manga… So promising!
