Beautiful color spread with overly gradient sky and our little witch looking fierce. That costume is very Clow Card arc, or simply very Clow.

So Sakura gathered basically everyone. I mean everyone including Kaho and Mizuki. Yes, she should have done this ages ago but oh well, she didn’t know what was happening (ahem). Not to mention we are in a different timeline here.

Ohkawa-sensei finally got her chance to justify why Kero and Suppi remained pretending to be plush toys even when Touya knew about them. If we ever get a new arc for Card Captor Sakura, she will no longer be capable of pulling this off. Unless… oh no this timeline will eventually disappear so this means this conversation between Kero and Touya will be erased as well T_T so they will keep pretending…?

Tomoyo’s line that it was fun/nice/good seeing Sakura and Akiho as twins really is meant to be the readers’ (and CLAMP’s?) feelings. Of course they could not retcon something as wild as that, but CLAMP gave a little taste of what it would be like if that were true.

It is interesting how RECORD recorded things not only where it was placed or even around Sakura. I mean, it recorded the talk between Akiho and Kaito in their mansion’s garden. Very convenient I would say. Not sure I liked that. Thanks to that, Sakura realized that Kaito is missing, though she still doesn’t know it’s Kaito. I guess they have yet to explain why Kaito’s pocket watch ended up with Akiho in this reality. Maybe we’ll never get an answer…

So this chapter was meant to show what a strong supportive net Sakura has and that she has a plan. She seems very assertive.

We finally got to see Sakura in what is likely the final battle costume! The one CLAMP have been building anticipation for. Judging only from the sleeve, I was picturing something completely different, more like a long dress. I wasn’t happy at all with my own expectations of it. The real thing turned out to be much better than I imagined haha. It looks great and much more battle-oriented (will they even battle, though?). Also hello long legs and short heels? It really highlights the fact that she is older (despite the fact that CLAMP’s current style makes everyone look a little younger).

And Syaoran has a matching costume too! Now that’s a surprise! The asymmetrical aspect is a nice contrast to the more cute-like battle costumes from the previous two arcs. It suits Sakura’s current age, I would say. And yes, it is very similar to that other battle costume that Sakura was trying in Tomoyo’s house but she never got to actually wear in a battle. I guess it was a prototype? Recently Ohkawa-sensei mentioned in a twitter space that there is a reason why that costume was never used and maybe this is why…

I’m sure the next chapter color page we will see these costumes IN COLOR! *-*

So she’s wearing THAT costume. CLAMP kept their promise and the costume is here. The other thing associated with it was that The Mysterious Cloaked Figure, which we now know is Lillie, told Sakura that they would meet again when she wears that costume. Is she meeting the Lillie from this reality? (does Lillie even exist in this reality?) or will Sakura travel in time and meet her? Or maybe through a dream again? To be seen.

What caught my attention is that Sakura is with her Dream Staff. This is something that I wasn’t sure myself but yes, the new cards are part of this reality as well. It’s almost like this reality is the exact same minus Kaito, and the fact that Sakura and Akiho are twins.

I think we have only 2-3 chapters left!! July, August and potentially September, but to be confirmed. Volume 15 comes out in October, after all!
