The thirteenth volume of Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ debuted at the 4th position in Oricon’s weekly ranking, with an estimate of 53,303 copies sold in its first week of sales for the regular edition.  The Special Edition (Big Acrylic Stands) did not appear on the weekly top 30.

Volume 13 outsold the sales of both normal and special editions of volume 12 combined in its first week, but volume 12 had the lowest first week sales of Clear Card, therefore volume 13 is behind all the other volumes released before volume 12. In other words, volume 13 had the second worst first week sales, only behind volume 12.

The announcement that the series will be over on volume 14 might have caused an impact on this slight increase of sales.

It’s worth mentioning that while the regular edition landed in the 4th position, the first 3 titles are not published by Kodansha. Meaning Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ volume 13 was this week’s most sold title published by Kodansha.

Finally, it is always worth mentioning that Oricon only takes into account a certain number of shops and preorders are likely not taken into account. These numbers are only an estimate and it’s possible that the real figures are higher than these.
