French publisher Pika Édition is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year and they are kicking off the festivities with the release of an exclusive object book entitled La Passion du Manga.
A selection of 20 mangakas published by Pika Édition for the past 20 years will be featured in this accordion book, including CLAMP.
CLAMP have contributed to the book with a new illustration featuring Watanuki and the Mokonas. For each author, the book will also include information about the works published by Pika Édition as well as a personal message for its 20th Anniversary.
The book will go on sale on February 12 for the price of 29,50€ and will be limited to 4000 copies.

There are many series in there that I’ve read/read and like a lot, so I won’t be getting it ‘just’ for the artwork of xxxholic hahaha though, if I turn this around, if it was only all the others series without xxxholic, I would very likely not have gotten it (the irony), I guess it’s ultimately the full content including everything that convinced me! 30eur is a lot of money for a 48 pages book, though it’s big (A4) and having all 20 mangakas make new artworks for it couldn’t have been easy either!

There is a very long history between me and editions Pika, so I’m good celebrating with them once very two decades XD XD

yes, I read in their post on twitter users telling them it was expensive, and their answer it that while they also wished they could have made it cheaper, but they couldn’t provide such a high quality item without the price tag following…
Let’s wait and see how the thing will be like in the end, but this is indeed not cheap…
