The fifth volume of Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ debutted at the 6th position in Oricon’s weekly ranking, with an estimate of 141,578 copies sold in its first week of sales.
The above numbers are for the regular edition, only. Sale numbers for the Special Edition (Nendoroid Puchi) are unknown.
While the ranking position is rather low (6th place), these numbers are slightly smaller than the first week sales of volume 1, which to this date holds the record of highest first week sales, and volume 3. In other words, this volume started off really good, specially if you take into account that these are only the regular edition sales. It missed the 5th place by a slight. There were really strong titles competing as well (Dragon Ball and the giant One Piece).
It is worth mentioning that Oricon only takes into account a certain number of shops. These numbers are only an estimate and it’s possible that the real figures are higher than these.
I was a little worried since the sales were showing a decreasing trend after volume 1, but this volume might just have what it takes to overcome the sales of the previous volumes.

Great first week sales for volume 5! It will probably reappear in rankings for the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
