Kobato. “big announcement” soon to be made, PARTICULAR BOX info

• Kobato.:

According to this month’s installment of Kobato. News!! section in Newtype, there will be some “big announcement” about Kobato. in the next issue of the magazine.

It also says that this month’s installment of Kobato. News!! was the last one. It says information about Kobato. will still be published in Newtype, just no longer in Kobato. News!!.

Ohhhhh, so big news for Kobato., huh? I’m so excited about it! Then we have CLAMP-NET announcing that in the next Newtype issue there will be an “Anime Commemoration” Tosho Card application service. I wonder if these two are related…

If they are, I wouldn’t say Kobato. will be getting a TV anime just yet, I think it’s too soon. Unless Kobato. won’t last for too long, but I don’t think that’s the case. Or, unless it’s going to be just like the X TV anime announcement, that was announced in July 1999 but the anime only started in October 2001 ! Besides, CLAMP-NET says the Tosho Card is a “Anime Commemoration”, not “TV Anime”. But maybe I’m speculating too much xD

For now, I would bet on a music video! Wouldn’t it be great?

Newtype says the Tosho Card illustration will be drawn by CLAMP, I wonder if it’ll be one of those illustrations with anime coloration.

Also, I don’t understand why they are ending Kobato. News!! if information about Kobato. will still be published in Newtype anyway. Will CLAMP use that extra page to make longer chapters?

We’ll just have to wait and see ^^

And here’s an advertisement showing that the clear files will feature the Point Card illustrations from Series 1 and 3:

Unlike what I had previously posted, that those clear files would feature Subaru, Seishirou and Fye (I must have been drunk when I wrote that, I’m sorry), and also my guess that they might be new illustrations was wrong (I wasn’t too sure about it anyway XD). At least this will be a good chance to check these two great illustrations in high resolution, I hope.

PARTICULAR BOX will be released in December.

    I think it’s more possible a music video like you said, CLAMP seems to enjoy doing tose XDD.

    I contacted my usual seller about it and *pre-ordered* it already ;D
    He said it would be only available in Animate Stores o__O Did those guys get some kind of exclusivity rights to distribute them or something? ^^;
    Though it’s no surprise since Animate are, as far as I know, one of the biggest anime/manga stores chains, but still…

    As for a possible Kobato anime, while I’m not saying it won’t ever happen, but I believe there is still too little material for it, especially if we consider how slowly the chapters are released : once a month…
    And retiring the Clamp news after Kobato to put it elsewhere in the same magazine…well, I guess it’s one of those senseless things that happens? ^^;;;

      Yes xD Every now and then there are some Animate-exclusive goodies. It’s like Starbucks-exclusive in the US xDDDD

      From what I could get, they won’t be “moving” the section. More like it’ll end, but we’ll still get Kobato. information from some new way ^^

      • When I get them I will definitely make HQ scans of the clear files! XD
        Since it will be released at the end of the month (december 20th–31th) I don’t think I will have them in my hands before…the first week of January, maybe the 2nd week in the worst case?
        Anyway, I will scan them for sure ^__^ *and also the new picture above with SyaoxWataxKabato , of course*

      • I think they can easily make an OAD around the stories from before Kobato joined Yomogi nursery. They can even make up a new story around that (which I hope they won’t), so that wouldn’t be a problem for a later TV anime series.

          • I want to see Yomogi nursery animated (*coughFujibatofan*cough*), but I know it’s too soon, so for now I don’t mind getting the beginning animated (*-*) I want to know about their seiyuus too!

            And here I am taking for granted it’s going to be anime ;;;; A music video as you said would be nice too.

    But I still want the bigger illustration XD
    And about the news, anything positive for Kobato is great! ^_^! I’d really really like Tv Anime, but I’m afraid if they make it now, it would be full of fillers T_T, so the greatest news would be if it would come out weekly so there’s enought materijal for the anime! ^_^!

  9. Thanks for the updates.
    And you’re right, it’s too soon for an anime, but that was what first came to my mind about those big news. I hope not, since then it would mean a popular anime with lots of filler chapters just for the fun of it >.< I rally don´t like the idea. Later, I'd love it, but now it's too soon.
    Kobato. MV is something else completely. That I want! Also a bigger chapter, though I don't have high hopes on that. I'd prefer larger Holic chapters first.
