TRC 185, XXXHOLiC 152 and other news

Clean scans available at The Room of Requirement, there’s no need to knock before you get in xD

We’re grateful as always to ladydarkmoon-san who gently provided the scans =)


So they are in a loop again, and seems like the time is a little tweaked as well? A day seems to go by faster than normal.

There’s a festival coming up that will take place in the ruins? Seems like a good opportunity for them. But will that day ever arrive? The way the country is in a loop, seems like the day will never come. They’ll have to figure it out a way to stop it.

This loop thing and a festival coming up, it all strangely reminds me of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni xD

When Fye bows down to Syaoran, is he using telepathy? O.o The same way Kamui used on him…

Then we have a completely gay moment with Fye and Kurogane xD I didn’t think Kurogane could have problems with his arm, but apparently the substitute is not fitting that well? I wonder if that will be a problem for him in the future or if this was only for the sake of that fan-service scene

I’m intrigued with Fei Wang’s plan… what does he want by doing this? Also, am I the only one who thinks that the apple the little boy gave to Syaoran looks suspicious? Eat it, Syaoran xD

As for XXXHOLiC, I was extremely impressed by seeing Kohane’s mother hitting Watanuki (nice move, Doumeki), but Kohane’s story is kinda boring, and I think this arc will extend itself until this volume is over.

• CLAMP in CARDLAND news:

The first informations of the 3rd Series of CLAMP in CARDLAND have been announced!

The new series will have a total of 81 cards (same amount as the previous series) of which:

1 Secret;
3 Ultra;
7 Super;
13 Rare;
57 Normal.

This series will have two new additions: ANGELIC LAYER and Shin Shunkaden, and the Secret card will have a new illustration drawn by CLAMP featuring Syaoran & Yuuko. No word on who will be on the Point card yet.

The 3rd Series of CLAMP in CARDLAND goes on sale on May.

  1. Thank you very much for cleaning the scans! Poor Watanuki, it seems like he’s always being physically abused one way or another…

    And Fai and Kurogane aren’t gay together at all! They’re just… really, really good friends. Who, uh, care about each other and have tender moments and… Damn it CLAMP, as of now, Touya and Yukito is still the only confirmed gay pairing we have.

      • Ah, but isn’t it only Yue who doesn’t have a gender? Because Yukito was created as a disguise, he’s suppose to resemble a human as closely as possible. Also, if he was physically genderless, other people at the school would’ve noticed something when he was changing for PE and stuff. And Yukito himself would’ve noticed something was off if he didn’t have a gender. (Shhh, it’s the only confirmed pairing, let me dream! *hugs Seishirou/Subaru and Watanuki/Doumeki and mopes in a corner*)

  3. I was wondering about that weird little bowing thing that Fai kept doing, too, but with this chapter I have a thought. Maybe he suspects that Kurogane is distracted by the pain in his arm so he tries to see if he can get his attention by making quick, sudden movements. I dunno. I know this detail isn’t really that important, but… oh well ^_^

  5. Yo, Chibi-Yuuto!! Genki desu ka! ^^

    Talk about deja vu with the loop in TRC. I laughed so hard at the scene where Fai smacked Kurogane. Never expected to happen again. It’s the fanservice! XD Your joke about Syaoran eating the apple reminded me of Snow White. I wonder how will they pull this situation off, but I know that Syaoran will find a way. He always does! Ganbatte ne, Syaoran!!

    As for HOLiC, that was nice that Watanuki was protect Kohane after getting hit by her. That’s good courage to stand up for the ones you truly care in your life. You go, Watanuki! *thumbs high* Demo ne, I really want it to end and focus with the TRC crossover or the scenes with Yuuko.

    YESH!! / Oh my gosh… that is so cool that the new illustration of the Secret Card will feature Syaoran and Yuuko! TOTALLY AWESOME!! ^^ Now I cant’ wait to see it on your near future report. NE!! ^o^

    Tsubasa… I heard that Fay hit Kurogane for the second time, so I loled at that moment!! Very strange at when it became blurry… and became sleepy. What is Feiwong’s thinking…?

      • I found one mistake so far for sub. It’s when Real Syaoran persuading Fay not to go and Fay realized that he and Clone Syaoran are the same… The meaning of when Real Syaoran was saying was kind of incorrect. “When you go there and she gets hurt (anyway-ish way of speaking), she’ll hurt (or something like that).” I think the correct way is “when you go there and you get hurt, she’ll be hurt (sad).”

    • I think it’ll be a little similar since Fye said they’ll wait for another day to see if it’s really repeating itself. But it might be the last loop. I think Syaoran has a plan.

      • I sure hope Syaoran has a plan otherwise i’m gonna kill myself waiting an extra week for another “repeat” chapter!
        I’m sure CLAMP will make up for it in the future chapters though, it’s just i’m such an impatient person! XD

        • Surely, they can’t make repeated chapters forever, even if they are supposed stuck in a loop XD
          I think it was important to show the repetition 2 or 3 times, but more than that it’s too much.

  9. OMG… Is it just me?? Or it’s Fay that looked EXTREMELY gorgeous in this chap… *drools* CLAMP’s art is getting so much, much x 10(power of infinity…) This chapter, Syaoran is really outshine by Fay!!! Syaoran n Fay look extra mature and, uh sexy for Fay?? XDDDD Expecially the scene where Fay took off his gloves to taste Kuro-daddy’s blood~~ And the scene where he says that Syaoran n Mokona will hurt…. I just love his eyes!!! Vampy’s eyes!!! And Kimihiro-kun was awesome too!! Standing up to Kohane’s mama sooooo firm for Kohane-chan… Why does CLAMP’s drawn eyes always capture my heart sooo much??? *melts*

  12. ROTFL! Yeah, they had a sort of Zetsuaish gay moment with the whole prosthetic arm thingie… no complains, I like the classic CLAMP UST (unresolved sexual tension), it was purely fan service.

  15. FANSERVICE! FANSERVICE! XD *dies of happiness* Thank you, CLAMP XD That chapter was so worth the 2 weeks wait!

    The OVA was pretty awesome too, I loved the pacing and the creatures were animated really well. I thought Fai’s transformation was a little less dramatic than it could’ve been, though. Can’t complain though, today has been a wonderful day regarding all things CLAMP!

      SAME HERE! The apple makes some noises, and they focused so much on the boy giving it to Syaoran.

  17. I think this week I may have been more impressed with the SHORT ‘Holic chapter! 😛 Basically just because Tsubasa was a loop again, but I really, really liked the way Syaoran and everyone looked in this chapter for some reason. I bet Syaoran has a plan. ^w^
    And the Kuro/Fay scene made me rofl.

    I am so happy about a Syaoran/Yuuko illustration. Interesting indeed~!

    This would also explain the cuteness between Fai and Kurogane… D:)

      That is my primary thought, too. But other than delaying them, I don’t know what else he wants with this…

      Good guess, I have thought on a fake/illusion world too. And the mystery around the bunnies wearing scarves has never been solved.

  20. TRC 185 – Page 17: Miyuki-chan is missing!! D: And so are a few children on the right side of the panel. And the trio aren’t appearing at the entrance of Clow anymore (as we could see in TRC 184, pages 4 and 18).

    HOLiC 152 – How could she!? How could she hit my Watanuki-kun! You shall pay, woman!! Raah!!

    Oh, and sankyuu on the updates of CLAMP in Cardland! (Even though, I’ll never get them.. TT__TT)

  21. yeah, I noticed Miyuki-chan missing from Day 3.

    I put together the two chapters to see if there were any other differences, and I was surprised!

    If you compare ch. 184 pages 8-10 with ch. 185 pages 4 & 6, you’ll notice one guy missing. Ominous.

    In Holic, did anyone else think it was interesting that they stopped Doumeki, but didn’t even seem to notice Watanuki?

      Oh! I just thought that, you know, he just managed to slip past and the TV crew, wanting to accomplish the job, focused on Doumeki-kun. I forgot all about the ‘people not being able to see Watanuki-kun’ deal. I refuse to believe it!!
