It’s been a couple of chapters since I last made a chapter commentary… for the past chapter, I just have one thing to say: 3 color pages, it means we are probably getting 8 chapters again for this volume, so far my theory is working XD
Now 176 (wow, 176!)…
We are already having the battle between the two Syaorans… or is it a pre-battle? Because they can’t keep fighting for 5 volumes, which is why I think something will happen that will interrupt this battle.
By the way, I don’t get why Fye’s eye works the opposite on the clone, which means, makes him stronger instead of diminish his lifespan.
The sacred tree opened a hole in Nihon… (It kind of looks like the Shurano hole xD) are Fye and the others going inside? Or will someone in the dream get expelled?
The real!Syaoran/Sakura moments are so moving… but it’s useless, they are not going to be together… not after the latest Holitsuba xD That crushed, smashed and stomped any thoughts of a real!Syaoran/Sakura ship xD Not that I wasn’t expecting it anyway…
HE STABS HER! The clone actually STABBED Sakura! I mean, with a sword! I mean, with blood-spilling! O.O What can I say… I absolutely love CLAMP ^_______^
Oh c’mon, Fei Wang… it’s okay to place your spy cameras throughout the many worlds but EVEN THE DREAM WORLD? xD
And finally, the clone who can’t attack Sakura ^___^ I actually really liked that. I liked that it kind of backfired against Fei Wang, who probably never considered that possibility. And it’s also interesting because we always got the impression that it would make effect for Sakura (because she has lost her “mind” memories but not the “body’s”), and it’s actually the other way around, on the clone.
However, Mokona’s earring did glow there… and it has a sealing power. Is this what it does? To seal the clone from hurting Sakura?
XXXHOLiC:
There’s not much development here… except for Watanuki will start a quest to find Kohane-chan in a TV channel? xD Poor thing, though, why does everybody keep hitting her? How cruel, she’s just a child… o__o
Watanuki is also thinking straight, which is quite a development (the only one in the chapter). His bentou looks delicious, I wanna eat it xD
Other than that I still don’t know what’s going on in XXXHOLiC, where we are, where we are going to. I have to wait for more revelations xD

I’m not going to comment on Kobato’s chapter just yet, I’ll do that when it’s released by CnL. I’ve just got the translated script from Jamie and I’ll start editing it on this Saturday. Expect the release at any time during this weekend ^^

The eyes work opposite of each other – if Fai had kept both eyes, they would have balanced each other out. But the Clonie stole the good one, and got stopped before he could steal the second (can’t remember where I read this, but I’m pretty sure it was at the same time as all the other eye talk…)

I also believe cute Syaoran is the clone, because he was portrayed as an innocent like character (until he starts eating eyes and stabbing people) and because if you think about it, he would technically be the ‘younger’ of the two because he was created after/from the real Syaoran.

Because the other one is “Syaoron” or something xD It’s true, we don’t have any proof of who’s whom, but I think the cute Syaoran “felt” more like the clone, and “Syaoron” felt like real!Syaoran to me.

About Tsubasa: I somehow feel that the two Syaorans will merge together, because the dream sequence keeps playing in my head, and they’re all wearing the wrong clothes! So I just imagine… that they merge and then randomly get new clothes :b I dono… just a wacky prediction.

I kept thinking about the tube scene too XDDD But it’s all wrong… where is the Clow costume? And Sakura doesn’t have a bruised shoulder either!
I wonder how they’ll get a new wardrobe before that scene…….

For Sakura, there may be ways to heal soul injury.
For Syaoran, if I got it well, both of them came in the dream world with there bodies, who knows which soul wear the Clow country’s clothing.

Not necessarily. We don’t know which Syaoran it is in the tube, the context in which the scene takes place in, how far away from the ending it is, and how the tube scene ends anyway. Or what’s going on. There’s still a lot of ways for her to not end up with either of them at the very end of the series.

True. That scene must be somehow close to the end, but we don’t know how close. And we don’t know what happens afterwards.
I personally think that scene will appear 1 volume before the final volume or IN the final volume.

My favourite image (from one of the previous chapters) was the one where the two Syaorans pointed their swords at each other. Didn’t that just scream Kamui vs Kamui from X?
I sorta wish we got more development in xxxHOLIC, what about Kohane-chan?

That TOTALLY screamed Kamui vs Fuuma (you meant Fuuma, right? xD). There’s even one page in X 18.5 which composition is very similar to the one of the previous chapter of TRC ^^

I sorta feel like there’s nothing left to be told in XXXHOLiC… that they are just needing to reach a certain point in the TRC’s storyline where the secret of XXXHOLiC (Watanuki’s true nature, possibly) is revealed. And THEN we can have more revelations and the outcome of the story.

No, I don’t think he is xD He’s still dreaming… on the last chapter of tank 12 Yuuko told him that he is ALWAYS living a dream… and there are 2 dreams. The one he wishes for the most will come true.
Don’t make me any further questions, though, Yuuko’s words are beyond my comprehesion xD

Nothing is been announced yet, but there’s a change we might see it in a TRC tankoubon, like the previous Omakes. At least so far they have all been compiled in some kind of book format ^^

ummm, nope, it is gonna be used in next chapter… I think that earring seals Real Syaroan power, remember that Fay had to kill him? That is because he had to be more powerful than Fay…. at a given moment and suddenly… Fay had to stop the Real Syaoran to be too dangerous for FWR plans…
And this is not my guess, was who told this to me and I started building this theory involving the earring ^_^
And yes, Sakura got stabbed, AGAIN! XDDDDDDDD

I liked the way the clone couldn’t kill Sakura, never thought he would have that kind of reaction.
As for the end of the fight, I believe one of the Syaoran will be scealed up in the other half of the tube. Now, which one…
For xxxHolic, I can’t wait to see Watanuki near the stage, he’ll drive any supernatural being there right to him, stealing the show. ^_^ So where xxxHolic’s story is going right now? I think we are about to get over Kohane’s story. She has been around for many tankoubon already, her story must reach a conclusion and there shouldn’t be much tankoubon left (although this may not be the very last time, I suppose we’ll see her around until the second before last book). But with her family name in the same fashion as Watanuki’s, she must be part of the solution to Watanuki’s mystery. Maybe we’ll learn this time that her mother isn’t her biological mother…

about tsubasa: well the all “syaoran” cries out to RXiao, without the keigo bothers me in 175, and Sakura in general, 176 she got up points… but she changes her mind with the wind and i hate that!!!
about clonie he was wonderfull i love his “emotions” in this chapter if you see the page 12 and 13 his eyes tell us something!!!, i think is not only the bodie here…
About XXXHolic they cach up the story back in 137-138 but that was half a year ago
i hate Clamp in Holic, they sacrifice all Holic for tsubasa and Holic for me is important too, kohane arc must have a development in the last arc because she was in the color pages please!!!
i’m translate so yesterday i must reread chapters and is obvious a confrontation between Doumeki and Watanuki, the mother and some result before Kohane dies in hands of her, but nothing happens yet what we know “Kohane love tamagoyaki and she is a painfully abused child with no one to save her”, Watanuki want to save her but he is always in the dream world so he did nothing more like bentos” in other wordsI hate you Clamp!!!
