Kobato. Exam. 9 by CnL!

They say… better late than never! xD

Kobato. Exam. 9 has been released by CLAMP No Lumiere, check it out!


More crossovers! God, how good is that? I wonder if all of them were already planned by CLAMP (if all of them were going to appear eventually) or if was a measure they took to “fill in” those early stories. So far we have characters who originally appeared in Chobits, XXXHOLiC, Suki. Dakara Suki and, premiering for the first time in this chapter, Magic Knight Rayearth, Angelic Layer and supposedly Gouhou Drug (best cameo appearance ever! XD)

Three Angelic Layer characters in the same chapter (CLAMP got spoiled with Tsubasa xD), and we know for sure that at least one more Angelic Layer character lives in this universe: Icchan Mihara! Also, I should add that it’s extremely nice to see the Angelic Layer characters’ eyes with iris! xD

Like I have said many times before, I hope these crossovers will re-appear on future chapters.

LOL at the Penguin brand of beer xD and LOL at the forth (is it really forth?) part time job of Fujimoto. Their uniform are nice X3

Kobato gets the bottle, finally! I confess I didn’t expect her to obtain it in Exam. 9 (and I also thought there would be more “magic” involved in getting than bottle rather than Ioryogi simply taking it out of his “back pocket” xD).

I’m curious about how the chapter division for the first volume is going to be like. If it’s only these 9 chapters, the tankoubon is going to be really thin, we’ll see.

Let the Drops come, and let the plot move on!

  3. I’m kind of confused here. :/ The Angelic Layer characters are AU versions, right? Because AL/Chobits isn’t the same world from Kobato… I mean, we have a different Chitose.

    • Yes, they are alternative versions (is that what you mean by “AU versions”?).

      Misaki might have a doll named Hikaru because the soul is always the same, but it certainly doesn’t move according to her thoughts xDDD

      • I’m so glad she still have some thime left to work with you, she haven’t post on her journal for more than a month. I was a bit worried you might replace her.

        Misaki, Tamayo, Primera and Ringo are absolutely adorable, in their respective style. ^_^ And Fujimoto seems to be working for the same company Touya worked for. ^^;

                We were about twenty people in our appartement. I had dinner next to FF7!Sephiroth and did tango with Toxedo Kamen from Sailor Moon.

                I was diguise as Mad Hatter from Angel Sanctuary and my sister was Miwako from Honey and Clover. I’ll send you a link to the pictures as soon as they will put them online. ^_~

                  • Not really to celebrate our moving, more because I propose the idea of a cosplay party for Halloween and we needed a place to do it. We were suppose to have party to celebrate the moving, but after a party of 20 people, do we rellay need it? ^_^

                    And of course, if you want to visit us, you’ll always be welcome. But try to warn us a week before your arrival, so you’ll be sure we will be home, and we will be able to plan a pelgrinage to Alanis Morisette birthplace. ^_~

    I’m soo glad now that Kobato is released¡ Jajaja, I love when CLAMP do crossovers, It’s very very common nowadays in their stories. Remember, now Syaoran is in Watanuki’s dreams, same as Sakura, Yuuko, etc. Everybody’s taking a big party in Watanuki’s dreams¡¡
    Sorry for being impolite,but what happens with “The Room of Requirement”, is not update. ¿Is there any problem with the scans?
    I ask because the scans I found are LQ, and I really love ROR ones because they’re HQ.

    Does anyone know the instrumental song at the ending of this ova when Doumeki was giving Watanuki the envelope?

    around the time at 24:00 – 25:00 its the instrumental before the ending theme comes up.

  30. it’s not “one” box to contain the twelve books. There will be “three” boxes for each series, which are “the tokyo babylon box” “the RG VEDA box” and “the clamp gakuen box”. BTW the clamp gakuen box is for the 4 books of the 3 works in the clamp gakuenn(clamp college). Whoever purchase all the books in a series, can apply for the box for that series, no matter if you buy the other books from other serieses or not. And if someone perchase all the 12 books(all the 3 series), he can not only get the 3 boxes, but also get the chance to join the campaign of a lucky draw(lottery) for some clamp’s copied illustations.
