Pretty Sakura illustration. Get used to that dress Sakura-chan, because you’re gonna wear it for a looong time. The text says it’s the climax of the Celes Country, I wonder if are just saying for the sake of saying it or if Celes arc will end in this volume O.o

Now, about the chapter, I’m so confuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuused @_@ More than I was, if that’s even possible!

I’m sorry, what? XD Didn’t Yuuko tell Kurogane back in Tokyo that Kurogane was Fei Wang’s pawn? What about killing his mother and making him meet Tomoyo, the only person of Nihon that could take him to another world? Unless Yuuko lied to him.

But it’s interesting that Kurogane is Yuuko’s “pawn” (LOL, and they tease each other so much!), I wonder what plans she has for him.

Until the princess returns to Clow Country.

Sou desu ne… I did think something like that would happen… there’s still so much left in Clow, I knew we were going to come back to there. And it’s so typical to end where everything once started.

Why should you be hesitating over killing someone else?

In here Fei Wang clears for once and for all that Yuui really did choose to free himself. Although I’m pretty sure poor Yuui didn’t think that would instantly kill his brother. The blame, the blame… Fei Wang blames our Fye for something he never did. He wanted Fye to believe he was a murderer. After “killing” his own brother, he could kill anyone. Fei Wang knows how to play with his cards, and really well.

A feather will fall to the world where the person picking you up takes you.
It’s the feather of the princess’ memory.

Yuui wants to take the body of Fye, of course, and that’s how the body shall not rot, by putting a Sakura feather on it. However, if later he created Chii, I wonder if he took the feather out of Fye’s body? O.o

But not only that one feather will fall.
Get another one and take it with you when you start your travels.
We can’t take the chance of the princess dying right after you started to travel.

Again, Ohkawa Fei Wang knows how to play with his cards really well (and I love CLAMP even more now ^___^)

And until the other curse is broken.

That curse will still make a plot twist, mark my words XD

And Syaoran collapses…

Yuui places the body of his dead brother Fye under the same waters that Ashura-ou was sleeping until recently. I wonder where did that body go and how come Ashura-ou ended up in there o.o

Fai Fluorite of Celes Country.

So, where does the “D” come from? Even Fye’s surname was made-up ^^” He’s such a big lie xD But it’s interesting to see where it came from X3 I still want to know where the “D” came from.

Naaani? @_@ How confusing… asking something from the past? Sure, because Fye has a time-turner and we don’t know about it! *never mind, I’m still in the Harry Potter vibe XD*

The chapter ends with KUROGANE COMING TOWARDS FYE, BRANDISHING HIS SWORD!!! O__O What is he planning to do? After everything he saw about Fye, what did he conclude? Was it enough to make him want to kill Fye? Honestly, I don’t believe he will do such a thing… but why would he take out the sword?

XXXHOLiC:

I’m sleepy, and writing about Tsubasa got me tired, to tell you the truth XD But here we have Watanuki meeting Sakura in another dream (this is becoming just like X xD), and they talk more about Sakura’s vision and the similarities between Sakura, Watanuki and Syaoran’s birthdays.

Then, a really really weird thing happens. What the bloody hell, Watanuki here and Syaoran there in Celes having the same emotions? O.o Is Watanuki causing Syaoran to feel bad and thus collapsing? Or is it the other way around?

I don’t know how his voice found Watanuki’s way but Syaoran tells him to “not disappear” o.o

The chapter ends with Watanuki realizing he can’t remember his parents’ names, for some mysterious reason. I wonder if he never really knew or if he forgot their names.

But c’mon, that’s an easy one, just take your ID and your parents’ names will be written on it ^___^ Everybody wants to know who are your damn parents, Watanuki! ò.ó

  3. For the moment I have more theories on xxxholic than on Tsubasa, because Tsubasa is moving so fast lately. I can’t imagine Kurorin seriously drawing on Fai, though.. maybe he’s going to strike at an enemy behind Fai? XD

    I’ve been worried for a while now that xxxholic would end with Watanuki disappearing… I hope not, but I get the feeling that Watanuki is, like that ghost who didn’t realize she was dead, more spirit than human? Maybe it’s not that his parents were killed, but that they, like Yukito’s grandparents, never existed at all.

    I hope that’s not true. That would be sad. 😦

    At the very least the fainting reminds me of CCS when characters ran out of magic power and needed to sleep a lot, and I think Watanuki’s never been the most robust guy. ^^; Hopefully Watanuki sharing some of Doumeki’s soul or whatever will tie him more closely to the earth. I really like Watanuki and I can’t believe Clow or Yuuko would arrange matters so he would disappear..

  4. Last scene in Tsubasa: Kakushi Miko Kurogane. XD

    Yuuko’s good with messing up FWR’s plans (probably via somebody’s wish). I don’t think Yuuko lied (unless it’s a lie of omission). Perhaps, she planned/knew that Tomoyo would curse Kurogane (to prevent him from killing unnecessarily), which FWR didn’t want? Or that is the other curse he is referring to, the one that will break in Celes and thus ensure that his wish will come true? O_o that just broke my brain.

    Watanuki’s really suffering from a dangerous form of narcalepsy these days.

  8. Tsubasa certainly becomes quite a headache neh? Though it seems we’re finally getting some of the way out of the confusion fog!!

    the links between the storylines also become clearer as does the reason for XXXholic’s long hiatus!!

    • Tsubasa is really confusing these days… I’m like, just reading each chapter as they are released and seeing where everything will go.

      And XXXHOLiC will come back only on the 30th, my gosh!

    the xxxholic-trc connection is SO interesting right now!! (well, it has always been interesting, in fact xD)

    did you watch Harry Potter? did you like it? (I watched it yesterday, but I’ve forgotten everything about the book so I can’t judge xDDD)

        about the movie, I really liked it, but I’ve been hearing a lot of bad things from friends (telling which parts weren’t in the movie, which were an invention, etc). I think I must read again from the 5th book… (if not, I won’t be able to read the last one, because there are A LOT of things I don’t remember ^^’)

        hmmmm… maybe I should read again xxxHolic and TRC… my memory is terrible u_u’ (perhaps then I’ll be able to make a decent prediction xD)

  10. ^^; Perhaps she meant it in past tense? Like “You were his pawn, but not anymore”? ^^;; I’m grasping at straws… But that aside, Kurogane’s face was looking rather extra-scary this chapter ^^;;;
    Though, even with all the continuous lying and such, Fai really is an interesting character. ^^ He’s definitely become one of my favorites (…but not more than Kakyou heheh).
    Ah… the only thing I’m willing to hazard a [crackpot] guess at… is that I think that Fai made Chi out of… er, Fai. ^^;; haha They both have lovely blond hair… and the feather.. and… I give. ^^;

    “Climax: the point of highest dramatic tension or a major turning point in the action (as of a play)” from http://www.merriam-webster.com (I feel like Yuuko ^^;) Even if this is the climax, it doesn’t mean the Celes’s story will end in book 21, the Tokyo’s climax happens a full book before they left as TRC!Syaoran took Fay’s eye, hurt CCS!Syaoran and left the stage. Although I don’t think they’ll waste too much time in Celes.

    Didn’t Yuuko tell Kurogane back in Tokyo that Kurogane was Fei Wang’s pawn? What about killing his mother and making him meet Tomoyo, the only person of Nihon that could take him to another world? Unless Yuuko lied to him.

    Maybe Kurogane wasn’t suppose to meet Tomoyo at that time and in that way, maybe he was suppose to kill Amaterasu and her ninja and years latter meet Tomoyo who would send that dangerous wanderer away. Or maybe Feiwang to smooth the murder a bit by saying Kurogane is a bad guy anyway.

    Quite obvious indeed, since Feiwang want what’s burried bellow the ruins in the Clow-koku. But there still a long way to go before that, like getting Sakura’s body, getting Syaoran’s clone (likely stuck trying to get Seishirou’s feather, my Seishirou won’t get defeated that easily, even by a ramping eye stealer clone, especially if Kamui, Subaru and Fuuma have finally met).

    Maybe the feather doesn’t have to be in Fay’s body, after a time, as long as the feather is nearby, it works as good as if it was inside the body. Or else, Chii is Fay’s body transformed by the feather and now the feather’s gone, Fay’s body is back to normal. Or maybe Fay and Ashura found another feather somehow and made Chii out of it. The situation should clear up somewhere in the chapters to come.

    As for xxxHolic, like the others, Watanuki’s situation reminds me of Yukito and his grand parents and the way he felt asleep a lot in the second part as he was disappearing.

    Is he human or is he a creature like Yukito? If so, who’s creature? Yuuko’s? Clow Read’s? CCS!Syaoran’s? One that just spawned out of the thin air like the monsters who follow him around? Did he died with his parents on that car accident? So many question and no chapter before at least 2 weeks! T_T

        Maybe there’s some magic left in Fay’s body, like Clow’s cards didn’t lost their magic the day he die.

        About Watanuki, now that I think of it, Sakura said he looks like Syaoran more then once, so he’s likely Syaoran’s creature. Now what makes him disappear, maybe it’s Celes’s magic that’s interfering with Syaoran’s magic and cause the link between them both to weaken.

        • In fact, Watanuki seems more linked to TRC!Syaoran than CCS!Syaoran. And Watanuki’s problem started when TRC!Syaoran lost CCS!Syaoran’s eye. Maybe he’s a creature Yuuko made from TRC!Syaoran. Plus, it’s CCS!Syaoran’s right eye that currently hurts, although it’s his left eye he gave to the clone. His right eye should have nothing special, unless TRC!Syaoran has some problem on his end, maybe because or through Fay’s eye. Maybe he’s having a bad fight at the moment and all his magic is used to restore his body.

  12. Watanuki has no parents because either a) he doesn’t exist or b) he was created by Yuuko or by someone. And somehow he is linked to Syaoran and Sakura. AUGH.

    • ALl right, I just looked at Tsubasa, and I was thinking about what you said about both Fai and Kurogane being Fei Wang’s pawns, at least in the beginning. So really, of the five members of the journey at the beginning, only Sakura and Mokona were completely uninfluenced by Fei Wang, right? But it seems to me that Yuuko has managed to subvert Fei Wang’s plans somewhat by making the travelers care about each other.

      Everyone looks sad in that color spread. SAD. And Kurogane looks scary at the ednd.

      • I think even Sakura was influenced, she’s the most important piece of the game, she’s the Queen XD Fei Wang made her feathers to scatter so that she would have to travel for many worlds, with the other pawns, searching for them.

  13. Ah, what he was saying about Kurogane was that Yuuko prevented Kurogane from falling into HIS hands by entrusting him to Yuuko’s. So the death of his mother etc was orchestrated by Fei Wang in an attempt to get a hold of Kurogane, but Yuuko managed to head him off.

    With Ashura– “saki” actually means in the future, even though in compounds it means the past. (Confusing, I know.) So whatever wish he wants granted is something that he says is yet to come.

    But omg, talk about cliffhanger ending! I am reaaaally wondering what Kurogane is going to do with that sword. I kind of hope he’s brandishing it at Ashura, not Fye, but I’m not holding out much hope for that.

      Makes sense… but Yuuko told him that falling into Tomoyo’s hand was ALSO part of the plan because she was the only one in his country that could send him to another world.

    Thank you for the summary 😀 Here are my comments after this chapter. Cheers!

    – When Yuui took Fye’s name and memories, I wonder if he also took his magic. But now that he has only one eye remaining therefore only half of his powers, what if he gives the remaining half magic to his brother? Would he die?

    – I doubt Fye can revive after death. Moreover, why could Sakura live again? Because she never really died? Because she was able to separate her soul from her body before being stabbed and because her body will be healed?

    – Fei Wang Reed: “There was another person that I planned to send on this journey, but the witch prevented me from that.” Who could that be?? Surely a character we meet…

    – Interesting analogy: Reed – the dark character – has “Fye” the white and happy as pawn while Yuuko – the ally although mysterious – has Kuro the dark and grumpy samurai as pawn. Interesting that Kuro is Yuuko’s pawn although Kuro was often suspicious or against Yuuko’s ideas.

    – Is Shaoran in pain because he is forgetting some important memories?

    – Kurogane might be angry against Yuui, but might be a lot angrier against Ashura.

    Fai is an inheritor of the “will of D?” Or he’s just a huge One Piece fan…

    I’m hoping Kuro is drawing on Ashura. For him to attack Fai would make no sense. To kill one would be to kill the other because of their whole vampire thing. Kuro isn’t an idiot.

        nope, i think Fye can only drink Kurogane’s blood, unless he got his eye back that he doesn’t need Kuro’s blood anymore…
        and so if Kurogane dies, Fye will die too…but not the other way round @@

    i guess she mentioned that FWR did interfere and is behind the killings of his parents, yet this is somehow different from being his pawn…confusing, ne? XP
    i can’t imagine how things would be like if Yuuko didn’t interfere, and Kurogane becomes another pawn of FWR’s, whatever that means.

    and as everyone has said, it reminds me of Yukito too…@@ but it’s different of course, Yukito’s grandparents are supposed to be living with him, but Watanuki’s parents are supposed to be dead…
    anyway, i hope Watanuki will be okay…

    tsubasa’s got so much drama and confusion, i’ll just abandom all analysis and wait to see what unfolds next. XD

    however, in holics case–
    OMG WTF BBQ. O.o
    about the lack of parent-name knowing, everyone seems intent on either the theory that watanuki is the offspring of s+s/yuukoXclow(bleh.), or the reckoning that watanuki, similar to yukito, has been given false memories. HOWEVER.
    have i been the only one to remember vol 2, where the fortune teller pretty much confirms the (former) existance of his parents? by stating that they’ve safely gone off to the afterlife, that they were indeed in an accident and died to save watanuki’s life, and that they are (supposedlyXD) happy with how he grew into “such an upstanding, nice young man”(copyright del rey translation)…that pretty much shows that they did exist at one point? or had the old lady simply draw her “prediction” upon watanukis “memories” alone?
    …or did ohkawa just go off for a plot change/something of the like…? O.o

  27. Man, I hammered through all 140 chapters of xxxHolic in one day. x_x

    Maybe I’m just strange, but I get the feeling that Watanuki is connected to Clow somehow, and that his similarities to/connections with Sakura and Syaoran are because of that.

    There are tons of theories going around in my head, haha.
