(a few) CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 pictures

I was able to find these few screencaps of CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 while surfing on the internet.

And these tiny ones featuring Kazahaya and Rikuou running outside the Green Drugstore and Fuuma and Kamui “in tension” xD

And now that the release date has been decided, the final staff list has also been announced. Much to my own self-delight, Ohkawa’s name has been added to the list as “Nanase Ohkawa”, as she likes to be credited when working in the production. Even though it’s a different pen-name, it’s still the same person, CLAMP’s Ohkawa. Like in the first installment, she repeats her role as planner.

The final staff list goes as follows:

Original creator: CLAMP.

Producer: Mitsuyuki Masuhara.
Opening storyboard: Mokona.
Ending storyboard: Tsubaki Nekoi.
Character designer/Animation director (Opening): Hiromi Kato.

Color setting: Naoko Kodama.
Art director: Akemi Konno.
Director of photography: Yuki Hama.

General producer: PYROTECHNIST.

The DVD set of CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 1&2 1989～2006＜PRECIOUS BOX＞ comes out on October 26th.

    Conclusion: XXXHOLiC’s art is just un-anime-able. It just is. Not even MADHOUSE can do them decently. look how all the other fandoms with similar style look great, and Yuuko is still fugly.

    • At first I confess I was also shocked with it XD But now I think Watanuki looks the weirdest of all… I like their Yuuko better than Production IG’s. Although it’s not the best angle to judge.

  8. I totally LOVE the TRC style. But I must agree with in the Holic part. Not even Madhouse can animate them properly ;____; I don’t like Yuuko.
    Kobato and GD are gorgeous.

    but like others have said, Holic’s style will never be able to be animated ^_^;; so sad

      As for XXXHOLiC, I hope its just a bad angle… Watanuki didn’t look that bad in the promotional illustration of PASTEL… can’t say the same about Yuuko, though, that one looked very weird even on the illustration XD

  16. thank God, not only me. HOLiC is the weirdest, not to mention Watanuki… he looked like a wimpy uke boy >_< and Doumeki is too thin o_O but the rest are good especially the Sakura, I'm amazed on their difference and HOPING GD will be animated xD

  20. OMG! How on earth did they manage to animate Kobato like that!??? Wow!
    They just earned a lot of respect from me! XD

    The others looks awesome too, but I guess I’ll have to see more of xxxHolic before I can judge that. Doumeki looks a bit strange and I can’t really see the rest.

    • Word for the colors X3 Good vibrant tones, well-shaded, just what can be expected from Madhouse, the ruler of the animation world XD

      Mokona was right about Kobato’s hair xD I guess she reckons how hard it must be to do it since she’s the one who draws it XDDD

      • after the preview for the OVA’s we were talking that those would be as ‘bright’ as the movie, the preview has bright colors… IG seems to like them…. but that can be solved with the colors adjustments of you favourite player…..

        on the other hand Madhouse are always right with the colors they use ¬_¬;;;

  31. Am I the only one who really dislikes the style used for Tsubasa here, based on that screenshot? Syaoran’s face is all scrunched up! It looks nothing like the manga at all. I guess I’d have to watch it properly to judge, but so far Production IG’s designs for Tsubasa are my favourite, although I never had a problem with how the TV series looked.

    Like someone else, I am forced to conclude that xxxHOLiC’s art just can’t be animated well. The movie and TV series both looked hideous, and this doesn’t look like it will be any better.

    The Cardcaptor Sakura picture looks adorable, even if it doesn’t really go with how the CCS art has been drawn in the past.

      I actually agree. :/ In the long run, as far as just plain anime goes, there’s really nothing wrong with it but compare it to the manga and the other art we’ve seen for it? No~~~ As you said, they look really scrunched up and awkward, and the other picture of Kurogane and Fai (not shown here, obviously) didn’t look all that great. As it stands, I think Production I.G got the art itself. So their color scheme was a bit off in the movie, that’s fine, but the art itself was closest to the manga.

  34. I don’t remember if this has been discussed before, but Wish is unexplainably not in this, correct? ;o;

    Tsubasa and HOLiC look pretty fugly. Although, Moro, Maru, and the Mokonas look oddly fine. o.o CCS! Sakura looks adorable, Kobato’s hair is WOW. Kazahaya looks amazing, but there’s something… odd about Rikuo. He doesn’t look as… big as in the manga. *can’t think of correct wording, rawr*

    Overall, very excited but it needs moar Wish, yesyes.

    • We still don’t have a complete list of which series are in and which are out, although there are Wish figures in Clamp in 3Dland and it seems these figures are from the series in both Clamp in Wonderland clips. So there’s still hope for series that aren’t confirmed yet like Wish and Suki Dakara Suki.

    Although, Sakura looks a little weird in the first pic ^^U.
    Kobato! OMG! YAY! x3. Details, face, design, it’s awesome! x3.
    Same as G.D. Kazahaya looks great, and well, I can’t see Rikuou very well x_x.
    Tsubasa’s Syaoran is just *_*, wow! xD.(this post is WOW-ness only xD).
    And about the Holic, am I the only one who thinks that everyone looks well? O_o: Um.. maybe a little weird, but maybe it’s because the angle? I hope we can see more Holic’s images soon ^^.

  39. This is just great! We finally get a few more things about this. I’ve been waiting to know when it would come out really.

    By the way, I’m not sure where else to ask, I’m asking desperately anywhere I can. Could you possibly tell me if you know of any place where I can find 20 Mensou ni Onegai? And how to download it from wherever it is, because there is nowhere and I’m getting desperate; the more I read about it, the more I want to have it and I can’t get it here where I leave. I f you have any information about it, could you please tell me? Onegai!

    Hun… Sakura from CCS is a little bit different than your old look, considering Mad House as your animation production before. o.O But still very nice, I think.

    I’ll like to see Kobato animated. *-* I cannot wait to see all. 😀
    But I’m just wondering if I’ll can find this DVD to buy in Brazil… well, not bad if I dream with is. XD~
