CLAMP NEWS !!


– Next chapters scheduled (red means new):

03/10 – Newtype #04 – Chapter 6 (on sale).
04/10 – Newtype #05 – No Kobato. scheduled.
05/10 – Newtype #06 – Chapter 7.

– Next chapters scheduled (red means new):

03/14 – Shonen Magazine #15 – Chapter 146 (on sale).
03/20 – Shonen Magazine #16 – Chapter 147.
03/28 – Shonen Magazine #17 – Chapter 148.
04/04 – Shonen Magazine #18 – Chapter 149.
04/11 – Shonen Magazine #19 – No Tsubasa scheduled.

Vol. 19 will either end at Chapter 148 and they still haven’t announced the color pages for Chapter 149, or Chapter 149 is the last one and Vol. 20 will start with chapter 150, which would be perfect due to the “round-ness” of it, AND it would coincide with the first chapter of Vol. 12 of XXXHOLiC.

• Artbook:

The Artbook cover has been announced!

It features Syaoran and Sakura wearing their Tsubasa “uniforms” xD

I liked it! They are so close to the “camera” ^^”

The artbook comes out on April 17th.

For those who haven’t seen the latest chapter yet, XXXHOLiC will be resumed on April 16th.

• Internet Radio:

Yui Makino, also known as Sakura’s seiyuu in Tsubasa Chronicle, will attend as a guest on the episode of Komugikotoride no Yonshimin that will be aired on April 10th. You’ll be able to listen to this episode once I post it in my LJ ^^

• Illustration Goods:

The May issue of the magazine HYPER HOBBY (Tokuma Shoten Publisher) will feature information about the 2nd Series of CLAMP in 3-D LAND. The magazine is specialized in toys, figurines and collector’s artifacts. They mention the 5 figurines (of the 2nd series) as a reader’s present, but I’m not sure if it’ll be given to everybody who purchase the magazine or if there will be an applying form or something.

The magazine comes out on March 31st.

• Featuring CLAMP:

A new interview with Mokona will be published in the April 5th issue of the japanese newspaper YOMIURI SHINBUN.

They have a website, but I’m not sure if the interview will be available for reading there too, but let’s hope so ^^

• Featuring CLAMP:

The May issue of the Animedia magazine (on sale on April 10th) will feature an article about the CLAMP in 3-D LAND DEBUT! event, in it’s section INFOSTATION.

• Featuring CLAMP:

The May issue of Newtype magazine will feature a Talk between Code Geass’ director, Goro Taniguchi, and CLAMP member Ageha Ohkawa. The magazine comes out on April 10th.

• Featuring CLAMP:

An article about the CLAMP in 3-D LAND DEBUT! event will be published in the June issue of Puff magazine, inside it’s TOPICS section. The magazine hits the stores on April 28th.

That’s the 3rd issue of Puff in a row featuring CLAMP ^__^

• CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 1995~2006:

Lastly, they announce that the production of CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 has been completed.

Just reminding you all that the first and early screening of the video will be screened at the CLAMP in 3-D LAND DEBUT! event that happens on the next Sunday in Tokyo.

Lots of reports and articles for the next month… If we get to see half of the reports that are due to be released, I’d be more than happy XD

Before leaving, for the interview-lovers out there (like me xD), carcacarrot-san has translated one more Chinese interview that I asked her to. This one is a talk between, at the time, Nanase Ohkawa and Chii’s seiyuu, Tanaka Rie. It’s a very cool interview that reveals some interesting facts about the anime of Chobits.   4. ummm, why the artbook cover does not have the 4 main characters? ….. ….

    and with all TRC chapters being 19 pages long I expected vol 19 to be 9 chapters… no good, that means one more week for the cliffhanger ;_; … but at least there is no break…

      So far all chapters had 19 pages? Then I think vol. 19 will have indeed 9 chapters. I think it’s good like this, because chapter 150 will be SO special. I hope TRC will feature the cover and that they’ll do a CLAMP interview (C’mon, they did one with Air Gear’s mangaka when it reached 150 chapters)

        YOu know me to well ^___^ and… for some reason I doubt they will be alone in the second artbook, this cover seems to say that SS are the main (only) characters, and ignoring the other two…. and I can’t see Mokona there…. An artbook should have to have the 4(5) of them…. T_T

        And yes, latest chapters all have been slighty shorter, instead of 20-22 have been 18-19, gaining room for an extra chapter…

          • do you still read spoilers? I think you must read 147 (and I have the full trc18 cover but not sure if you can spread it… but it is not watermaked after all… it is up to you a far as don’t tell my name ;D )

      Maybe that one from volume 11, they are wearing the Piffle costume. Or maybe the 1st cover? Since Syaoran is embracing Sakura?

    • I can understand you, KuroxFai fans, totally. I was surprised too! But if it makes you feel any better, I do hope, and I think, that they will be on the 2nd one (which haven’t been announced yet but I’m sure there will be one xD)

  19. Whaaaaat, a whole month without HOLiC? It’s so unfair D:

    I don’t like the Tsubasa artbook cover. I mean, it’s not like we don’t see Sakura and Syaoran on practically every cover of the regular tankoubons… oh wait, we do. Usually in corny poses like that. Oh well, whatever :/ It doesn’t really look like an artbook to me, just a regular edition volume, but I guess I am used to shiny stuff like X Infinity.

  22. No xxxHolic for a month then, I hope they will change the date around a bit so will get a chapter after three weeks (not likely to turn true). No tsubasa on the second week of April either and no Kobato …

    Tsubasa’s chapter 149 isn’t said to have color page so tank 19 will have 9 chapters (feeling really depressed). It seems both Tsubasa 20 and xxxHolic 12 will start on the same week, may I hope the end will finally start? (I shouldn’t get my hopes that high, I’m just hurting myself).

      Actually I fear that they might even postpone it for one more week XDDDDD They did that with vol. 11, remember?

      I actually feel very happy. I REALLY wanted chapter 150 to start in vol. 20. It looks more “neat” xD It’ll be so special for being a new tank’s chapter AND for being the 150th chapter (and it almost coincide with Tsubasa’s anniversary)

    Kobato updates: All right! Each month and a little breaker on April.
    TRC updates: Yatta!! 3 straight chapters and a little breaker. That makes up for something!
    HOLiC updates: OH NOES!! O.O This is cruel that we have to wait a month for the next chapter!! *sobs in the corner* ;________;

    Finally, the cover for the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle artbook…TOTAL LOVE!!! ^///^ *faints*

    • Yeah, the break for Tsubasa is completely understandable. It’s running pretty steady from quite some time now. As for XXXHOLiC, that’s the price we pay for having both works linked.

      I am more than ready for CiW2 xD I can’t wait for reviews, screencaps and why not the video itself? XD

  31. WHAT!? So many weeks without holic?!=-= Oh, my, that´s too long for my nerves! Well, i guess it´s necesary, because now holic and trc are so related, and they have to be carefull about not revelaing arguments from one to the other…On the other hand, i like the artbook cover, but it´s really similar to one normal cover we had seen before (i cant remember wich volume)I guess it´s because clamp wants to refresh our memories about those two, from that days of inocence. that old happy times, sigh…Well, thanks for the news. see you.
