CLAMP NEWS !!


– Next chapters scheduled (red means new):

02/28 – Shonen Magazine #13 – Chapter 145 – 1 color page (on sale).
03/07 – Shonen Magazine #14 – No Tsubasa scheduled.
03/14 – Shonen Magazine #15 – Chapter 146.
03/20 – Shonen Magazine #16 – Chapter 147.
03/28 – Shonen Magazine #17 – Chapter 148 (possibly last chapter of tank 19).

• Artbook:

New information about the upcoming artbook:

– CLAMP will draw the cover illustration
– A new installment of Tsubasa’s short comic, “The Untold World” will be published.
– The artbook will contain a total of 80 colored illustrations (TRC has a lot of spreads)
– There will be comments from CLAMP for each illustration at the end of the book.

The artbook will be released on April 17th, costing 2100 yens.

03/12 – Young Magazine #15 – Chapter 132 – Last chapter of Tank 11.

• CLAMP Mokona no Okimono Kimomo:

A new exhibition dedicated to CLAMP Mokona no Okimono Kimono will be held at the Libro Nagoya Hall, in Nagoya.

The exhibition will feature CLAMP original illustrations with characters wearing kimonos in works like Card Captor Sakura, XXXHOLiC and Tsubasa.

The exhibition runs from March 13th to March 28th.

• Works:

CLAMP drew the cover and inner illustration for the book 魔女館と秘密のチャンネル (something like “Witch’s place and the secret channel”), by the author Youko Tsukumo. It’s the continuation of “Welcome to the Witch’s Place”, for which CLAMP also drew the illustrations for, and was released in June of the last year.

The book will be released on March 17th.

• Featuring CLAMP:

CLAMP will make an appearance on a future installment of Hideo Nishimoto’s Mou, Shimasen Kara. This is the 3rd time CLAMP appears on it.

The story will be centered on Mokona’s Sign Session that was held in Libro Ikebukuro Park in February.

The comic will be published in the 16th issue of Shonen Magazine, out on March 30th.

• Featuring CLAMP:

A report of the CLAMP Mokona no Okimono Kimono exhibition (possibly covering the exhibition itself and the autograph sessions) will be published in the May issue of Puff magazine, out on March 30th.

  3. I’m counting down the days until the artbook comes out… Any ideas of when an xxx-HoLiC one’ll come out? if the tsubasa one has 80 pictures… Surely xxx-HOLiC’s had about the same amount?

      Most likely o.o XXXHOLiC also has a lot of spreads, and they take two pages…

  4. ♥ Thanks for the info. 80 illustrations? I’m hoping for at least some new artwork, but either way it will be nice to have clean versions of some of the nice artwork. By new omake, do they mean new omake or one we’ve already seen in the magazines but that hasn’t made it into a tankoubon yet?

      Well, as I said, TRC has a LOT of 2-pages images, and each of them is still counted as only one.

      The new art can only come out of the cover and the extra comic.

    The “Untold World”… could that be… is it possible? Perhaps the long 6 months that Kurogane and Fye spent in Yama?
    I could just hope xD It always ate at me that CLAMP didn’t show it.

    Thank you for all the latest CLAMP news and updates for this month. Cool, only one short break for TRC, but HOLiC is making us wait a little longer. I shall be looking forward to the TRC artbook!

  11. The artbook is making me really excited.. Do you know whether it’s common for artbook to be translated by the local publishers? Or it’s usually not translated? (I want to read CLAMP’s comments!)

    • Yeah, it is quite common. TokyoPop translated most (if not all) of CLAMP’s artbooks… and Norma publisher translated them to spanish.

      So yeah, if you live in one of these countries that speak one of these languages, they’ll most likely translate it ^^

  14. I guessed the artbook price XDDD 80 color ilust onny? me fears the deleuxe covers will be left out, ouch!

    What is that ‘new’ isntallment of the short comic ‘untold world’? another omake??? the sentence sounds like if there were more before this ‘new’ one… I’m curios if this will be in color or black and white, like those gorgeous b&W pages int he rgveda artbooks ^_______^

      I think the opposite O.o The deluxe covers are spreads and they use 2 full pages. So if they are gonna feature the first 14 covers, we already have 42 pages (28 for the deluxe covers + 14 for the normal covers).

      Of course there are ! XD Yeah, it’s one of those omakes… I think there’s 5 or 6 other ones, hence why the “new” XD

    • Actually, I think that by the NEXT chapter it’ll already be the longest manga (because X only had 100 pages published from vol. 19, and that’s pretty much where TRC is at the moment ^^)
