The fact that Chii is on the splash page only makes me believe even more that Fye’s backstory is coming and/or Ashura-ou will awake soon.
The chapter was going to be another usual Tsubasa chapter, but in the end it was so special because we finally get to see Fye using his magic *-* All I could think as I was reading was “he’s so amazing…” I like him even more after this chapter. I mean, what shield is that? So pretty and spell-proof ! *-* Syaoran and Kurogane’s expressions at the end are priceless xDD Can’t wait too see WHAT they’ll say next chapter !!
Lately it’s being like that, I’m looking forward for the next chapter every week !
They left the world, yey, new world coming, but at the same time I liked Rekoruto so much… we barely had time to explore it all u.u and we didn’t get to see Eriol at all.
Anyway, why I think it’s time to Ashura-ou to wake up. Didn’t Fye said that that tattoo was a kind of a seal? That he decided to not use magic if he doesn’t have it? What if that seal protected him from Ashura-ou discovering his whereabouts? Yeah, like in Harry Potter and the whole “underage wizards can’t do magic”, the ministry can trace them down. So what if he decided to not use magic because that would make Ashura-ou trace him down. Maybe that’s why it was so special to him. But oh no, they were screwed, nothing else could be done so he used his magic, let’s see what happens now.

I don’t have much to say because almost the whole chapter was pretty much Watanuki struggling against the monster, so… xDDD Although, is that Doumeki’s grandfather or Doumeki himself? o.O He seems younger than Doumeki, and it’s weird to ride a horse in the middle of the street unless there’s a training course nearby XD
One last thing, do you think I should keep cleaning up the scans? These ones were pretty hard to edit and I don’t want to do all this work in vain so please let me know if you like it or not okay? ^^

Someone said, a while ago– I forget who– that they had a theory that Fye’s attempts at whistling were connected to his magic. I hadn’t thought of it before but after that had been pointed out it seemed like a good theory, and now it seems like that person was right, because Fye finally managed to whistle before he used his magic in this chapter. I can’t wait to see what’ll happen. (Plus Syaoran and Kurogane’s reactions of course. *giggle*)
I haven’t seen the original versions of the scans, but I know that messy scans can be very frustrating and these scans are usually so clean and easy to read, so as someone actually trying to read the text, I’m definitely in favour. Thank you for your hard work. ♥

You know what? Call me the biggest dumb in the world but I don’t remember any Fye not being able to whistle thing o.o When did it happen before?

I think it came up first in Koryo Country, when they were in the ryanban’s castle, it’s why he goes whoo (or hyuu) instead of really whistling.

You know, I can’t quite remember. It was rather early on so I can’t blame you for not remembering; from what I recall they were all trying to whistle and Fye couldn’t do it. Since then he’s been periodically practicing and annoying Kurogane in the bargain, but he’s been getting better at it. (It’s gone from hyuuu! to pyuuu!)

What are you talking about? Your cleanup of the scans is AMAZING. I drop everything and download the latest chapters from you the moment I read an update on my Friend List saying so.
Fai using his magic was super amazing, but I was even more amazed by Doumeki’s arrival on a freakin’ horse to save Watanuki. Did he get a haircut?

I think it might be Doumeki’s grandfather…
Because last chapter, Himawari talked about a dream where she was being chased by a scary creature, which so coinkidently happened to Watanuki… and Doumeki mentioned he dreamed about his grandfather on a horse.

And I agree- with the Chii splash page and Fai actually using his magic, I’d say we (finally) have some Fai backstory ‘acoming. And I’m hoping for some intense smexy KuroxFai scenes in the fallout.
And that totally is Domeki’s grandfather. After all, he does have to check out his grandson’s future husband to see if he’s a suitable mate.

About Fai, my theory is he ALWAYS could whistle, but he pretended not to be able to, since it’s his way of doing magic. So his “hyuu” thing was a way of whistling without activating it.
Maybe he can’t really whistle in a normal way, as in just making a sound, but that’s still pretending and faking it.
I need to upload a Fye icon.

That shield Fay created, it’s identical to a little one Sakura was holding in a color page (I think chap. 100 splash page, but not sure), and she had a feather inside… funny, isn’t it?
