CLAMP-NET’s design has changed ! Yey, (with no warning at all) it really took me by surprise. Anyway, the site’s structure is still the very same as the previous one, the only thing that changed was the design. It looks cuter, probably the thing that is most noticeable are the icons. Many, many new icons each one for one section. Even the series got their one. Kobato has her hat, Tsubasa has it’s feather, XXXHOLiC has Yuuko’s cigarette-thing, and so on.
But besides this, nothing really new. No new sections (T-T), no changes on Profile (except for the already-seen pics), not even new LOFTs or a new wallpaper *pouts*, even the links section hasn’t been touched… and if I’m not wrong, there are some broken links on that XD
Oh yes, the news…
Kobato:
There’s this present thing, on Sunday GX of this month, where people can submit to win an Ioriyogi Ipod XDDD
There’s also a tiny thing to attach it to cell phones with Kobato’s bottle’s miniature ^0^
On the pink one he’s listening to some musics, and on the blue one he’s showing off his teeth XDD I’d choose the blue (really? ¬¬) not only because it’s blue but surely Ioriyogi’s face would scare a the thieves XD
Weird enough, there’s no mention of whether Kobato is in or out on next Sunday GX o.O The site always shows the events for the next 30 days… weird. Also, not a word on the regarding 1st volume’s release.
Tsubasa:
Next chapters scheduled (red means new):
31/08 – Shonen Magazine #40 – No Tsubasa scheduled.
07/09 – Shonen Magazine #41 – Chapter 91, 3 color pages, beginning of tank 13.
14/09 – Shonen Magazine #42 – No Tsubasa scheduled. (This was decided just now. According to the previous update, Chapter 92 was scheduled to be on this issue)
21/09 – Shonen Magazine #43 – No Tsubasa scheduled.
28/09 – Shonen Magazine #44 – Chapter 92.
In Shonen Magazine SPECIAL #10 (out September 20th) there’ll be a Tsubasa short-comic called “The un-told World” (or something like that) and a CLAMP interview. I hope we get to see those too.
The second Soundtrack and second DVD for the anime series will be out respectively on September 22nd and 23rd.

So, yes, what did we have with this update for XXXHOLiC? Pretty much very bad news ._. 3 weeks IN A ROW without XXXHOLiC? And 2 weeks IN A ROW with no Tsubasa at all? No Kobato scheduled too… is September CLAMP’s vacation? I wonder what is going on ù.ú *prays for not been another broken hand*
ETC:
On a very fancy note, CLAMP will be hosting a lecture on nothing less, nothing more than Tokyo University of Art and Design (sorry if this is not the right name) during a festival called Creative Spiral Festival.
How fancy is that? A lecture on Tokyo University? About Art AND Design ! Why CLAMP don’t come to MY University ? XDDD
Ah, the date is September 25th.

Hmmm… summer isn’t over yet. It’d make sense if they take a vacation. Maybe to Okinawa or something. They like Okinawa beaches, they mentioned it in Shin Shunkaden.

Yeah, it was a 4-koma/mangaka’s rant corner when they mentioned they were working on a movie and they couldn’t go to Okinawa that summer.
It would make sense, as even though they’re not exactly collaborating, they might want to be in the city when the movies by the time they were released, even if it’s just to see how it goes and stuff. So they postponed their vacation.

Oh…u.u …oh well I think this year was really big to them…They deserv a little break, I mean, drawing TRC, Holic and Kobato, And all the stuff with the “animes” and the Clamp no kiseki magazines, the museum thing….I mean …it is just too much…better for Clamp to do it. Go girls, have fun!! XD
Oh!… and that lecture thing….I am glad for that, I think it shows a little of the recognition they deserve….I think…

Wow, I just visited that site last night and it was still the old style. That was sudden, that always happens to me.
That’s a long break. Hopefully they’ll be back to work in October. It always drives me nuts that manga artists never take the time to explain themselves… would it kill them to say “oh, we’re on vacation” “oh… so in so’s sick….” “Oh, family stuff…..” NO! They just dissapear! Not just manga artists either, basically anyone in japanese media does it (video games designers.. grr). Imagine if that happened in American media… it’d be chaos!

The two weeks off for Tsubasa is quite disapointing, they won’t be able to produce the Tsubasa 13 tankoubon for December. -_-
Maybe they planned it that way so there will be only one book left to serialize when the anime series will end. It happened that way for both Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth, though Chobits was half way through the last tankoubon.
And the Kobato’s case is weird, we already know there won’t be a chapter in Sunday GX #10, the Sunday GX website say so. There were only 18 days left before the release of the next issue as Clamp updated their website, there’s no time left to add a surprise chapter. Plus, all the entries on Kobato’s section are now history. Weird.
Unless … unless there will only be one book of Kobato and the series is now over … but I remember reading chapter 88 of Chobits was the last one in its entry, and 20 Mensou, Duklyon and Tokyo Babylon’s last chapters were identified as the final one in the Clamp News and Clamp Laboratories. Clamp are not secretive about it, or maybe they just forgot to add a not. But it would have been quite a work to fill the bottle in 3 chapters … so, the end of the series isn’t that likely …
It’s just weird … unless their publisher refused to add any more chapter unless they find a definitive title … o.O (well, they likely need a title to publish the first tankoubon, right?).

Yes, I know that, but even when that’s the case, we see on CLAMP-NET the “not scheduled” thing.
The series isn’t end, my friend Sakura-chan told me that on the last chapter it was written: “End of 1st part” o.o

No, that friend also said me that Ohkawa said on Puff interview that “Kobato (temporary)” is the definitive title ^^ Their editor is aware of that.
