The Character Design: WOW!!! I mean, no red hair for Sakura (the tone is perfect!), no weird face for her (She is so cute!). They are both perfect! The eyes are great and they look extremely like the manga!
Sakura is skinny but that’s Tsubasa’s style!
I’m so happy for the Chara design. I was so worried, but that design is amazing! They look like they were made by Mokona herself! Syaoran is SO perfect! He’s exactly like the one in the manga!
Look at Clow! It’s simply amazing! Now that I see colored, it reminds me some of those cool cities on Final Fantasy games! It’s so beautiful!
Very good job indeed for the Character Design, she was able to catch the right spirit of the series. I just hope the actual thing isn’t much different from this (you know how sample pic are always gorgeous and much better than the real thing).

Well, for Syaoran, I think it will be great! I watched Sen to Chihiro but I don’t really remember Haku’s voice, but sure fits Syaoran. Also, the seiyuu also played Sora in Kingdom Hearts. I played the american version (which is dubbed in english) but who already played Kingdom Hearts knows that Sora is so Syaoran-like! I think it’ll suit very well! ^__^
For Sakura, she’s a begginer, so… I think no one ever heard her voice. Let’s wait and see ^^
For Fye, well… I’m kinda thinking about that one… The seiyuu played Kei Kurono of GANTZ, who’s all “fu** you” in the beginning of the series (late in the series he becomes a soft-hearted boy who wants to save everybody). And he also played Frodo on the dubbed version of LOTR… that sure is weird.
I’m waiting for the people *points flowright* who watches Tennis no Ouji-sama to tell me more!
For Kurogane, I really don’t know… I didn’t watch/heard any of his works so…
Same for Mokona, and I believe no one did, since her only work was for a movie. At least seeing her pic we can tell she’s very kawaii! ^__^
I’m very happy for everything… the seiyuus seems really great and the design sure is not what I expected (it’s even better!). Now I’m even more excited about seeing more about it! I just hope Ohkawa do some scripts for it!
I must say a HUGE thank you to Sakura-chan for letting me know this thing that made my day… and also for helping me out with the Seiyuus! *hugs*

I just saw that a minute ago and looked at their roles.
The chara design looks fine ^^ But I want to see the other people now, gah!
I only know Syaoran’s. I liked him as Haku very much, but as Daisuke I didn’t, there was something dry in his voice IMO. I bet he’ll sound a lot like Daisuke. I’m still cackling with the whole “was Sora” thing XDDD
The other two I have no clue, as I’ve never seen their animes.

American Sora was played by the The Sixth Sense actor who did the kid who could see ghosts. So it’s not the same thing ^^u

I do know that, but, IMO, they have the same “I want to grow strong to save/protect the one I love” personality…
I can see many parts of Sora in Syaoran… and it don’t surprise myself for both of them having the same seiyuu at all ^__^

I was so happy that I HAD to share it with you!^___^ The character design is sooo beautiful,the colors are perfect,what we can ask more?XD(Ohkawa doing the scripts,yes..:P) like you said,let’s hope the real thing will be as good as this!;)Clow Country is amazing,so sunny..:D and is not all that glowing/shiny thing that you feared,see?;) For the seiyuus,I really don’t know who they are but I’m quite sure it will be a good cast..just hope that Yui-chan,being a beginner,will do her best!Miyu-kun is sooo young!:D hope he will do his best too!

As for the cast, I believe she'll do a great job ! All of them, actually! Even though I haven't heard some of them, I think this was a result of a lot of talking…

The design of the character it´s simply gorgeuos!!! it´s beautiful, i want to see Fai!!! everything looks incredible, i almost cry to see it’s a real thing… hehehe i just overreacting :P, but it seems near the anime version… well it’s more real than last year when nobody knows if its real or not… hehehehe i’m so happy!!!

Hmm, had no idea Kajiura Yuki was in See-Saw. How many members does See-Saw have? Just from that alone, though, I already think I’ll be liking the music. X3
From that image, it almost looks like they took it straight from the manga and just coloured it. ^_^ (and from the cosplayer side of me, we finally see what colour those circle things are at the front of her shirt… I had originally just left it white ^_^*; since the colours for the outfit on normal!v1 differed from hardcover!v2)

I don’t know, really…. In fact, a friend of mine told me she was a member (Before that, I didn’t even know WHAT See-saw was o.O”)
But, yes, I do think the songs will rock! Because she said all animes See-saw touched has amazing songs!

Wow! Yuki Kajiura music! I should have expected that: She is the regular composer for Bee Train animes, and OMG, she is GREAT! Mysterious,fairy-like music for .hack// series; action, mysterious, French and masonic-like music for Noir… A good use of vocals with instruments, simply great.
Tsubasa anime will definitley be good since Bee Train, who always produces quality products (despite the script in Avenger is really horrible, quality is still there… ^^U), and CLAMP script (despite Tsubasa wouldn’t be their best series too… ^^U Would anyone like to see older ones like Tokyo Babylon or Clover, way better in contents, animated as much as me, anyone? ;)).
BTW, I’m the same Otacon who commented something the other day ^^U

I’m actually pretty happy a beginner is gonna do Sakura’s voice… I mean, I’d be very happy if I was given a chance like this, so I’m happy for her, and I know she’ll be great ^^. I’d love to be a seiyuu myself, so… ^^;
Kuopin’s seiyuu is great. I’ve seen the inu yasha movie in japanese and inu yasha has kind of the same personality… I heard inu yasha scolding and it really reminded me of kuro. I really think he fits Kuroganes voice.
Shaoran’s voice actor? Perfect xD

I won’t be a seiyuu or anything of the kind, though. I have a weird voice, dunno, also it would be hard for me to do anything like that… With all the studyin I1m expected to do and all ^^;

No, you SURE got it wrong…
Kurogane seiyuu does NOT play Inuyasha… the seiyuu doesn’t offer his VOICE to the Inuyasha character, but to other character!

OMG!! i had a bad day at school and i come home and OMG -cries of happiness- ;_;it has been over half an hour and i still cant beleieve the perfectness of the drawing 😀 now i’m 100 % looking forward to teh anime…shame i cant read japenese…oh well..theres still precious ebay and Subtitlled DVDS 😀

Hi, I drop by your journal from time to time to read CLAMP news, so I thought I’d return the favour a it. ^^
Namikawa Daisuke is an incredible talented voice actor, and in my opinion, he will be absolutely perfect for Fye. His voice has a certain playful quality that I think will suit Fye very nicely. As for the types of roles hes done, they vary. In TeniPuri, he plays Ohtori Choutarou (his most well-known role by far, I’d say), who is a very sweet-natured boy who never the less has an admirable strength of character, and I think Namikawa captured both his sweetness and his strength wonderfully. And yes, he’s Kurono Kei in Gantz, which I must was a pleasant surprise, since it wasn’t really an expected casting decision, but it was certainly proof of his range. More proof of his range: he was Kami-sama in Saiyuki Reload (a “villain” who was innocent and childlike in his ruthlessness), and Toutaku Chuuei in Ikkitousen (Toutaku was absolutely INSANE, he was quite cruel, but could be very playful and also very sexy… but in a very unique way and due in large part to Namikawa’s voice acting). Aside from those, he tends to get cast as sweet yet clueless teenage boys (I personally think those roles are a waste of his talent).
Anyway, I know it’s a rather varied sample and possible too hard to get an idea of WHY I think he’ll be great, but basically, Namikawa has a voice that lends itself wonderfully for a playful character like Fye, he can do very sexy flirting, and he can sound quite strong beneath the apparent sweetness. The last attribute in particular is why I know it’s wonderful casting.
(Lastly, I run the Namikawa fanlisting. I’ve got a clip of him as Toutaku up, but I’m afraid that may not be particularly helpful in showing why I think he’ll be a great Fye, since Fye and Toutaku are nothing alike… you’d really have to listen to several of his roles to get why)

I agree, I think he would be really good as Fai. And I also LOVE him in Prince of Tennis (I am a big Hyoutei geek). I also liked him in Reload, he does evil well. He’s also in Gilgemesh and Yu-Gi-Oh (that one just cracks me up). But I do agree with you on what you said about him in your comment.
And girltype, I LOVE your icon. *drools* Like I said, I am a big Hyoutei geek (mainly a big Atobe geek).

I only knew Irino Miyu and Inada Tetsu, and I’m happy they chose them! Irino Miyu suits Syaoran well, and I’ve heard Inada Tetsu as Maximilien in Gankutsuou. He’s very different from Kurogane but I think his voice will be great. As for the others, I haven’t heard them, let’s hear what they can do ^_^ Kajiura Yuki to make the soundtrack? We’ll get AWESOME music. The opening, the ending, the soundtrack are all done by great musicians… *happy*

I loved the character design, much better then those magazine scans, they have better colors.
Hope Fye doesn´t get his hair gray and clothes blue like it seemed from the magazine, he looked like Yukito there.
Am I the only one desappointed with the cast? I really expected CCS seiyuus to repeat their roles…
Are we going to have a Touya without Seki´s voice and a Yukito without Ogata´s voices?

About the seiyuus, the producers of the anime either have some difficults to bring the original seiyuus back (I heard Sakura Tange didn’t want to do) or they wanted to make a whole new series.
Of course I’d want to see the original ones on their roles, but we have to realize that Tsubasa is not CCS (even though the characters are the same).
We can still hope for the “not-so-minor” roles, like Yukito or Touya, maybe these ones will be the same.

Oi, eu só escrevi aqui uma vez, mas tinha que voltar.
A Seiyuu da Sakura é novata? Sério? Ela deve ser muito boa, eles devem querer tranformar ela numa estrela! Acho que eles queriam lançar uma voz nova. Mesmo assim, é estranho uma novata num papel tão importante… Mas acho que ela consegue!
Essas notícias saindo pouco a pouco só me deixam mais ansiosa! Quando eu consigo me acalmar, surge outra notícia! Abril parece estar tão longe…

Thank you for this information ^^. I am happy to have another chance to hear Miyu Irino…the last time I heard his voice was Niwa Daisuke from DNAngel, but perhaps he’ll sound a bit more mature this time around despite the fact that Syaoran and Daisuke are the same age…and I am estatic that the seiyuu of my beloved Choutarou, Daisuke Namikawa, is voicing Fai (who I want to adopt lol) and am curious as to what he’ll sound like because Fai has this tendency to be a tease….I suppose that I was hoping against hope that they’d get Sakura Tange back to do Sakura’s voice, but I want to hear Makino-san as well…because Sakamoto Maaya got her start on Escaflowne and look where she is now (though I’m not really warming up to her GSDestiny character at the moment ^^;;) – speaking of….YAY!! She’s doing ED!! Yosh!!
Despite the fact that there have been a lot of criticism going around about the manga/storyline/etc. I am glad I invested in it and am more then anxious for this new series to arrive….just 2 months to go!!
