Okay, it seems like we are getting at least SOME answers…

We finished last chapter with Zashiki Warashi-lookalike appearing at the shop’s backyard while Watanuki and Doumeki were in the middle of making a deal with the Fuuri.

Watanuki shouts to the Zashiki Warashi-lookalike to not approach any further but she ends up being dragged/drained by the Fuuri — who somehow manages to reach the shop despite Watanuki’s attempt in using a thunder ofuda to stop the Fuuri. Mind you, the ofuda used by Watanuki is the exact same used by Syaoran Li and Tsubasa!Syaoran (they are one and the same, after all).

The next events were a little confusing to me… from what I understand (but I could be totally wrong), the Zashiki Warashi-lookalike was captured by the Fuuri and the Fuuri was subsequently captured in Doumeki’s jar by the the “client”, who reveals that she is actually a Yatagarasu (three-legged crow) but since non-human creatures cannot invade the shop, it changed its shape for the one of a human being, to be able to go in the shop. I am little confused here since we’ve seen non-human creatures entering the shop, unless she means “uninvited” non-human beings are not allowed? Like, ill-intended non-human beings…

The “client”/Yatagarasu then tells Doumeki (and Watanuki, since she speaks close to his ear) that “it” returned [to its place].

I paid close attention to the frames but I am little confused. The Zashiki Warashi-lookalike and the Fuuri did not appear anymore so I’m assuming they have both been “stored’ inside the jar that was taken from Haruka’s warehouse. 

Then, we get a flashback scene with Watanuki telling Zashiki Warashi-lookalike that his dinner plans involve “hachiku”, which is another word used for bamboo (takenoko) — the former is used for the bamboo harvested outside the soil and the latter is used for the bamboo harvested from inside the soil. I am guessing this is a metaphor for how the same thing can have a different name depending on how it is presented, or rather, how things behave differently depending on how you call them — much like the client/Yatagarasu. Could this also be applied to the Zashiki Warashi-lookalike? The same “appearance” but different name?

Another thing that is the “same” but now has a different name is the Book and Momo/Seoritsu-hime. And the last page shows Watanuki looking at Seoritsu-hime and realizing he has made a mistake… Is it finally Seoritsu-hime’s action time?

A few chapters ago I mentioned how Watanuki is not yet at Yuuko’s level and this is another example. We know some time has passed in “Rei” and although Watanuki is definitely wiser and more powerful, he seems surprised and maybe even deceived by the Fuuri/client? Yuuko would almost never look surprised (unless for matters of the heart) with her clients or whoever came to the shop, she was always one step ahead of everyone. This to me is proof that Watanuki is still learning.

Maybe next chapter we’ll find out more about the Zashiki Warashi-lookalike. There must be a reason as of why the Fuuri/Yatagarasu wanted it.
