CLAMP in CARDLAND 2 launched!

The 2nd Series of CLAMP in CARDLAND was released yesterday in Japan!

This series has a total of 81 cards and the following are (really low quality) pictures of one of the cards with new CLAMP art, the Secret Card entitled Black Prince, featuring Lelouch and C.C. of Code Geass:

You can find different samples of the same cards in this link, as well as samples of the other 80 cards in this link, both via Yahoo Auctions.

I’m going to post pictures of the Point Card featuring the Rayearth girls as soon as they are available.

The 3rd, 4th and 5th Series of CLAMP in CARDLAND are aimed for a May, August and November release, respectively.

Some unfortunate news now, my buddy yoshiyukikun could not get a ticket for the upcoming XXXHOLiC anime event, that will take place on March 15th at LOFT PLUSONE.

He was in the homepage of Lawson’s, ready to order his ticket online, waiting for 10 o’clock of this morning (the time when the tickets went on sale), and when the time came and he refreshed Lawson’s website, the site just wouldn’t load! The number of people accessing it was so much that the system must have overloaded.

Worried, he quickly went to the streets to one of the Lawson’s tickets machines, but he didn’t find any luck whatsoever. The machines are also managed by an online system, and it was also overloaded. After several attempts, the machine returned a message that the tickets were all sold out. The website too, returned an hour later to say that there were no more tickets available.

In his words, “it was as if the entire Japan was trying to buy these tickets” xD They sold out in less than half hour.

That’s very unfortunate but I kind of expected that, given that a similar pattern happened in the last CLAMP event sold by Lawson’s Tickets. The fact that they are so accessible for everyone makes it so hard to obtain one.

Not everything is over, though, there are loads of people selling their tickets on Yahoo Auctions and he’ll try to apply to one of them. I hate that XD People, not fans, buy the tickets to later put them on auction and take money out of that.

We lost a battle, but not the war XDD I’ll keep you informed!

  1. XDDDD that’s both hilarious and unfortunate about how quickly they sold out. What exactly is this event about? >.> excuse my ignorance…. ^^u

And i hope your friend gets to go!

o.o and does Code Geass really come up as CLAMP…*blink* I know they did the character design…and the vampire reminds me of our lovely Twins Kamui and Subaru…but… >.> *blinks…and adds Code Geass to list of Must Watch >.>u *

    • I know, it’s great because it means that “yay, CLAMP is famous and most-wanted” xD But at the same time it sucks he couldn’t get a ticket xD

You can see more about this event in this post of mine: http://chibiyuuto.livejournal.com/177257.html

And no, Code Geass doesn’t come up as CLAMP. That’s the only card of Code Geass of CLAMP in CARDLAND. I think they did it just for the sake of the fans.

  2. Yo, Chibi-Yuuto!!

Ne, I really find it so awesome the Code Geass card. ^^ Demo ne, that’s too bad about your friend trying so hard to get the tickets for the HOLiC event in Mid-March. ;___; That happen to me once during the World Baseball Classic in 2006 when my parents tried to get tickets to the baseball games that Puerto Rico played for me and my grandfather (since we’re baseball fans ^^). When the team advanced to the second round and by the time we tried to get some tickets… they were sold out like hotcakes!! I didn’t minded because my grandfather and I saw one of the baseball games regardless that neither team was Puerto Rico. We had a great time and it was fun for my grandfather considered it as an early birthday treat for me. ^o^

Anyway, I’m sure your tomodachi will find a way. I definitely have to agree that there are people who had a very bad tendency to sell tickets if they’re not going to use them. Talk about total rip-off sometimes. Mou!! >< Anyway, I hope that he can manage to find them and I'll be cheering on that the battle and the war will be won! FIGHT-OH!! *salutes*

    Ja ne, Chibi-Yuuto!

    • It’s such a pity ^^” I ‘knew’ this would happen, but oh well, at least I hope we’ll have loads of reports ^^

Sorry to hear about your baseball match, it really sucks when we don’t get what we want =\

  3. OMG ! Fifth series of CLAMP in cardland ! (at least)I hope we’ll have a book for each serie because I really don’t want cards…but I want the pictures on it *legally*.

It’s so bad for your friend who can’t buy a ticket for the XXX Holic event. it reminds me when in France, the box for the Kiseki magazine’s figurines with Kero and Suppy was sold (T_T). There was only 50 boxes, and the online system was overload in the five first minutes. Fortunately, I could have one (it was a great surprise, because I only had the same message that I can’t send my submission). But all the boxes were sold in less than 30 minutes.
Sorry, I am spreading myself too thin >w<

So I hope I could afford one ticket, for a reasonable price !

    • I was thinking the same thing, and I’m quite sure they’ll release a book for each series, or at least every two series.

Wow for the CLAMP No Kiseki boxes! Only 50, that’s nothing! xD

    • We still didn’t get “decent” versions of the 1st Series special cards, so I wonder how long it’ll take for us to see a clear scan of the CG one ^^

      >I just hope the prices don´t go all high and crazy, do you know what was the original price and what price are they selling it now? (curiosity xD)

Exactly! XD The original price is 1,500 yens and most of them are beginning to sell seel them for 1.000. Some of them are expecting to gain 10,000 or they won’t sell it!

I’ll see if he can get a ticket, I’d love for him to go and make us a report ^^

  5. omg i hate the people who sell tickets on yahoo auctions.. i had to get tickets for a musical through yahoo auctions and they were EXPENSIVE @___@;;

but the majority of people set the base price at the initial selling price, so any price added was the bidder’s fault, in a way ^^;; and the good seats were sky-high D:

  7. Sorry your friend didn’t get a ticket, but it makes me happy that xxxholic is so popular! And yes, those who want to make profit are really annoying …

So what are these cards actually about? I already saw some awesome ones, but never understood what they are about. Is it just for collecting them, or is there a game to play? And, more importantly, will they ever be released in english? *hopes*

    Like

    • About CARDLAND, yes, it’s a game play, in spite of the beautiful illustrations, there’s also a game ^^

We don’t know if it’s gonna be released in english yet =\
