• OAD:
The official website of Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations was updated yesterday with a new background illustration.
And from what is written in the latest entry of the Production Diary, the 3rd OAD is currently being dubbed. Now, that’s fast… did I get it wrong at all? O.o

• Code Geass:
CLAMP will draw a new illustration of a “slim pin-up” version of Code Geass character Euphemia Li Britannia. The drawing to be published in the March issue of Newtype magazine, out in February 9.
They mean pin-up like the 50’s pin-ups girls? Oh, I’m curious about that XD
• Event:
As posted here previously, the exposition Shoujo Manga Power! has a new season and it’s back to Japan again, it’ll tour in several japanese museums from several different cities through the year of 2008. The event’s schedule is the following:
Kawasaki City Museum: Feb 16 ~ March 30.
Niitsu Art Forum: April 12 ~ May 25.
Kyoto International Manga Museum: July 19 ~ August 31.
Yokoyama Manga Memorial Museum: September 6 ~ November 9.
Kawasaki City Museum and Yokoyama Manga Memorial Museum also hosted the CLAMP Su exposition in 2005.
A total of 5 CLAMP illustrations will be featured at the exposition.
• CLAMP in CARDLAND:
The point card of CLAMP in CARDLAND 2nd Series, named as “Tokyo Tower”, will feature a new illustration drawn by CLAMP with Hikaru, Umi and Fuu.
So it’s not really an X picture like I had expected. But a new Rayearth picture after so many years sounds very yummy ^^

I wonder how long it will take to finish Kobato at the serialization pace it’s at. Oh well, steady as she goes.
Incidentally, there’s now more art in the Shoujo manga exhibition, but I’m not sure if it’s more Clamp or more of other artists.

It will take a lot with this pace, that’s what I think. We are currently at one-tankoubon-per-year pace, and I see Kobato. as having AT LEAST 6 volumes (but it might be more). So 6 years at the very least…
CLAMP either must move to another magazine (but that’s hard considering Newtype is one of the most read magazines of Japan), or Newtype should allow CLAMP to draw a bit more than 14 pages a chapter =\

I wouldn:t be surprised if it moved to another magazine. CLAMP is popular, but I can:t imagine Newtype really wants to stick with one series in its monthly issues for more than half a decade. Probably this was an interim sort of agreement to cross-promote CLAMP and get Kobato back in serialization–win-win for everybody–and if its successful all around, they:ll move on to another mag.
I can:t wait to see that exhibition.

But why an illustration of Euphy? It’s one of the CG character I like less…but no one can arrive at the point of Suzaku. God, I can’t stand on him. And his seiryuu, after what he made.

The story wasn’t exactly this. This was his version, but I know he was arrested, or something like this.

I miss a something shoujoesque from CLAMP, but I definitely want to see the end of those two series.
This has been the speediest CLAMP series I’ve ever read.

Hm, how to explain this in proper and understandable english…
Let’s try:
It’s a poster.
It comes in a overpricedjapanese Anime/Manga magazine.
It’s folded in 2.
You need to rip it out of the mag without tearing it apart (l33ts may use a cutter).
Then you unfold it; pin it on your wall and drool on it.

All I know is that is pretty disappointing to wait so much for XXXHOLiC chapters and then get one with almost no development and really random things (I mean, what’s up with Konahe? NOW? In THIS point of the story. Unless she’s more important than I thought).

I’m used to XXXHOLiC by now… it feels like it’s always a chapter then 2 weeks break, then a chapter, more 2 weeks break. And I honestly think that’s the pattern it’ll move until XXXHOLiC’s over.
