CLAMP in 3-D LAND DEBUT! first informations

The CLAMP in 3-D LAND DEBUT! event ended some hours ago in Japan and the first pieces of information have appeared on the web. This will most likely going to be the first of many others, and more detailed, reports that are yet to come.

The first report of CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 1995~2006 can be seen after the cut.


– The event was divided in two parts. This time there were no spoilers from the current works.
– There was a lot of cameras covering the event.
– Original Clear Files and post-cards were sold. Among the featured illustrations, there was the cover of vol. 15 (Sakura & Syaoran), the splash pages of Chapter 137 (Eagle), 138 (Fye and Sakura), 139 (Kurogane and Syaoran), 140 (Sakura and Syaoran) and 126 (Kamui and Subaru). There was some XXXHOLiC goodies too.
– There were about 400 people in the hall. The journalists sat in the row from the back.
– Mokona was wearing an orange kimono.
– The figurines of the 3rd Series were announced: Sumomo & Kotoko (Chobits), Hinata (‘Suki. Dakara Suki’), Ashura (RG Veda), Watanuki (XXXHOLiC) and Subaru (Tokyo Babylon).
– Question: What sub-character would you like to become a 3-D figurine?

Mokona: Fei Wang, he would surely look like the Emperor Penguin.
Satsuki: Haruka-san.
Ohkawa: The vampire twins of Tsubasa, and the hunter brothers, too.
Nekoi: Himawari-chan, Kokuyou and Hisui [although she hasn’t thought about the subject much].

CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 1995~2006

Now I’m going to translate the impressions of someone who saw the video at the event. Please, be aware that these are not my own words, as I haven’t saw the video myself, (my comments are between [ ]) and that there might be a lot of mistakes. Not everything is 100% accurate since the video was screened only once, it’s very easy to forget a detail or mix them up. Also, I translated them myself, so there might be translation mistakes too (when I’m not sure of what I’m saying, there’s a (?) on the end of the sentence).

This is just to get a general idea of what the video look like. So if you agree and are aware of all that, please go on !

– Madhouse did an incredible job.
– It starts with XXXHOLiC. Yuuko, Watanuki, Doumeki, Maru, Moro, Black and White Mokona are in the yard.
– Watanuki is angry at Doumeki like always, Mokona rubs its cheeks on Watanuki’s. Maru and Moro are dancing in a lovely way.
– Black and White Mokona ask to travel to many worlds inside a colored book.
– Watanuki gets their small travel-bags (?)
– The expression of Doumeki after this scene is very pretty (laughs).
– Yuuko does very beautiful magical moves, and the Mokonas goes to travel.

– They arrive to the world of Magic Knight Rayearth.
– Hikaru, Umi and Fuu are above the Mashin. The image is very pretty.
– Kobato falls from the sky with her umbrella.
– Kero-chan and Suppi also make an appearance, Ioryogi gets angry at them and expels some fire at them (laughs).
– After this, the two characters from Shin Shunkaden [Mong Ryong and Chun Hyang], Shirahime Syo and character(s) from 20 Mensho ni Onegai!! appear riding a balloon.

– The next is Chobits.
– Elda, Hideki, Freya, Kotoko, Sumomo and the Mokonas do that physical exercise along with the music.
– Chii and Hideki watches each other (?). Freya bearing a serious expression on her face is lovely. Sumomo blowing the whistle is also lovely!
– A small Primera-chan passes by.

– The next is RG Veda. Small Ashura dances/plays with the swords, and he becomes adult (?).
– The characters of RG Veda that were watching the scene applaud. Yasha-ou, Kendappa-ou, Ryuu-ou and Kujaku [the person can’t remember if Souma and Karura were also there because it was too quick, but they probably were].
– After this there’s a [fan?]service scene (?) with Ashura and Yasha.

– The Mokonas pop out of the shelf in the Gouhou Drug and ‘Suki. Dakara Suki’ world.
– Asou and Hinata are inside the Green Drugstore. Kazahaya chases the Mokonas xD
– Rikuou and Kakkei watch the scene. Kakkei is very pretty.
– Saiga appears to be knitting something with pink wool (laughs).

– The next is Tokyo Babylon. The Mokonas come to a hospital.
– The Sumeragi twins are kawaii~. Seishirou has an injection syringe.
– The Mokonas are scared of it. The people from the hall all burst into laughing (laughs).

– They manage to run away and the next is ANGELIC LAYER. A battle is starting!
– Mokona fights with Hikaru. It was a great spectacle (laughs).
– Everybody appears in the background. They were small and it’s very fast so I couldn’t see (laughs).

– The atmosphere is changed in 180 degrees when CLOVER is introduced (laughs).
– The Mokonas also got wings. It was lovely. Suu is kawaii~.
– They return to the sky (?), Suu gesturing [goodbye?] was also lovely.

– X comes!! They arrive to a delicious Okonomiyaki shop.
– White Mokona is eating.
– A confrontation starts between Fuuma and Kamui [I’m not sure why but I think it’s because of the Okonomiyaki xD]
– The shop is completely destroyed due to the fight.
– Yuzuriha, Sorata and Arashi are there.
– Karen also appeared wearing underwear clothes (?) (laughs).
– Kakyou is also there [I have no idea how he appears xD].
– [seems like Miyuki-chan and Satsuki also made an appearance, but I’m not sure].

– Card Captor Sakura. The Mokonas appeared in the midst of the magic square (?) [I think they’ll come out of a Clow card]
– Syaoran, Sakura and Tomoyo are surprised. What a nostalgic feeling…!
– The Mokonas are flying [in Sakura’s staff I suppose?], and a dragon appears on their side.

– Tsubasa finally comes.
– They are wearing the dragon costumes from the calendar image.
– They all look very cool. Specially Syaoran. And they are all riding dragons.
– There’s a little bit of service here, as we can see a part of the storyboard that was published in the second guide.
– They have chained weapons just like that calendar image.

– The Mokonas go through a cloud and they come back to their original world.
– In the bookshelf, you can see a lot of CLAMP works. The End.

WOW ! It sounds SOOOO exciting, doesn’t it? *_____* I can’t wait to see the video… now even more >.< There's no releasing date yet, unfortunately, so we're gonna have to survive with reviews and screencaps until there.

So apart from the 1995~2006 title, some works like RG Veda and Tokyo Babylon showed up! And Chobits was in, after all (it sounds like such a funny sequence xD). Even the old Shin Shunkaden, Shirahime Syo and 20 Mensho ni Onegai!! are there! Although, is Wish really out? Also, the girl didn't mention TRC!Seishirou at all. So I guess that that was a little confusion.

Now commenting on the event itself, I was very happy to know that Hinata will be on the 3rd Series ^___^ And yey for Subaru xD (as expected, he'll will not come along with Seishirou's figurine xD)

  4. i’m thrilled!, yeah clamp’s dividing the pairings, so subaru and seishirou won’t release together lol, ^_^ still it’s the best thing, Subaru is great ne? he’s got best cover for volume 18 ( between the 4 of them…sei,kamui, fuuma, his art I think wins. ^_^ oh well, just my opinion)

    Clamp in Wonderland 2 sounds sooo wonderful! i’m happy to know the other series got part in it, i like the idea of TB being there as well as RG Veda and legend of Chun hyang. ^_^
    I’m eagerly looking forward to see it.

  6. I don’t know, from this summary I find the first CitW video a couple of times funnier. This one is like too “kawaii”-fuzzy-feeling-oriented. I was expecting a bit more crack. Oh well, I’ll wait and see, but so far it’s not interesting me that much from this summary. Maybe it’s the fan’s fault, or it’s something that has to be seen to amuse you?

    People from 3-D, listen to Nekoi’s suggestions! The Wish OTP~~~~!

    • The video was screened only once. I confess I’m surprised for the amount of information she could remember for a 3 minutes, scene-after-scene, video-clip. There must be a lot of things that didn’t catch her attention or that she missed.

    I’m also dying to see the Mokonas scared of the injection syringe xDDD (and Sei-chan’s face as well! .< I want to see it!!!!
    There seemed to be a lot of interesting scenes included in the video. I hope we get to see it very very soon! YeY!!!!!!!! And Watanuki too?? I can dieee!!! xDDD

I didn’t think the older series that were in the first video would be included, I’m so glad (read: skipping for joy) they’re in there! Is CLAMP going to draw pictures to go with this one like all the illustrations with the first CLAMP in Wonderland? It would be awesome if they did.

    Oh, I can’t wait to see the Sumeragi twins with Seishirou again…although, it will never be the same…and it’ll only break my heart more…

    And Subaru figurine! I really need to find out how I can import the 3D sets to England.

    Ohkawa is SO my favourite CLAMP member. The Vampire Twins and the Hunter Brothers indeed. XDDDD

  21. Seishirou with an injection needle reminds me of this one illustration of him with one where Subaru is all o_O. Kamui and Fuuma destroying an okonomiyaki shop? I’d take it going there was Sorata’s idea, seems like something he’d do. Perhaps Fuuma just carried Kakyou with him? XD

    RG Veda ended in 1996 so I’m not surprised about it being in there, but with Tokyo Babylon and some of the others I am. Guess they felt like including more, or needed to fill space.

    I’m quite happy to be able to witness several of Clamp’s characters coming to life on a screen 🙂 And the Kamui/Fuuma battle over an okonomiyaki is simply hilarious (is it’s that way, of course…) XD XD
    That said, I’m quite surprised there were a lot less about CCS then I might have hoped for at first, being Clamp’s major work and what made them known worldwide. But I guess it can’t be helped seeing how many things they have to bottle up in a few minutes ^^;; Though…it’s SSOOOO GREAAATT to have both Syaoran(s) together!! Well, not exactly ‘together’ but we *at least* see the dragon getting near the CCS character, which is not that bad.
    Note : from what I read, there’s only 2 Syaoran, not three…does that have a deep meaning?…..

      Indeed. But I am glad that is the case. I mean, although it IS the most famous work of CLAMP, in this video every work should be treated as equal, don’t you think? Not to mention that I’d prefer to see never-before-animated characters having a bigger on-screen activity than CCS characters that we are all “tired” of seeing animated. But I see your point, totally! ^__^

Since the video hasn’t been released on the market yet, unless someone brought a camera to the hall and recorded it, we are hardly going to see a downloadable version before it’s officially released =\ And believe me, I would have posted here if I have found anything xDDD

  40. When I was wondering which characters from CLAMP in 3D should I buy, they’ll realease even more xD Great variety, already!

    And about CIW2: as many others have already stated, I’m jumping in my chair going all “WHEEEEEE!!!” xDDDDDDDDDD From the description, it really looks like Madhouse did a GREAT job (well, they almost always do great jobs with everything they animate ^^U)! They have included many, many CLAMP’s series, even some I didn’t expect (TB! Clover! GD! Kobato! *____*). It’s a fanservice orgy, basically xD

    Plus, there’s a chance other characters/series (like Satsuki xD) appear but maybe she didn’t notice (she did notice many things, however, so it has a lot of merit ^^U), so that makes the video complete xD

Its…Its…ITS GREAT!!!I´m dying here!!!I NEED TO SEE THAT!!!- Now it´s the time when i start to cry and kick, laying on the floor like a kid-…Ehem…thanks for the news. i´m sure that vid would arrive some day to these faraway lands, but i hope it will be really soon or i´m really going to cry. The clover part and that final scene with the dragons its a must-see.

      No, these are CLAMP IN WONDERLAND EX. CLAMP IN WONDERLAND is the first video-clip released on 1994. Search for it on Youtube and you’ll find the video ^^
