User has posted up here some pictures of Mokona’s Visual Book, CLAMP Mokona no Okimonokimono, to be released on February 14th.
As expected, the book features Mokona’s gorgeous creations of Kimonos (the real ones made by her), among other Kimono-related stuff.

Those are beautiful! And the Kobato image is so adorable! Do you know if it’s only released in Japan or if it’ll make it to translation/overseas?

It really is beautiful, the cover and all those kimonos ! I am so impressed, it must be so hard to sew a kimono, and she also paints them and does all the drawings, textures, etc ^^ It’s really amazing.
So far, there are no plans of translating the book to foreign languages, unfortunately.

Isn’t it? Such a talent should not be wasted. I’m very happy with CLAMP exploring new and different fields ^^ I wish they would design other clothes too, apart from kimonos (but they are already very pretty !)

The Kobato one? The first one was based on Kobato, I’m pretty sure ^^ It really is pretty. I hope the X one (as well as the XXXHOLiC and TB ones) will be there as well ^^

Definitely ! I “heard” that the next chapter of Kobato. will have the same illustration on the splash page (only that it’ll be probably B&W ^^)

Yo, Chibi-Yuuto!! OH MY GOSH!!! ^o^ This book is to die for!! *SQUEE!* I love the cover of Kobato wearing a beautiful kimono and Ioryogi looks so kawaii in that birdcage! Fangirl “Squee” Level: Meltdown Alert!! *faints*
DEMO ZOMG!!! The preview pages are hontou subarashii desu wa! I can’t say which one is the ichiban utsukushii na kimono, demo all of them look so hontou kirei!! I absolutely adore all the patterns, the bright colors, and the additional accessories. She even names her kimono designs with such hontou kakkoi na names!! She definitely beats Tomoyo Daidouji in making such suteki na kimono designs!! ^//////^ Kono hon wa hontou hoshii ga desu!!

Yeah, for sure ^^ They create all the clothes wore by the characters. They get inspired by magazines, TV, movies, etc, of course, but they design their own version of it ^^
