Wow, these past days were really… blank, in the CLAMP fandom, weren’t they? It’s the end of the year syndrome, don’t mind ^^ But today, thanks to ladydarkmoon-chan, we have new chapters to cheer for !
They are already up at the RoR ! (as always, please look forward to CnL’s HQ version of Kobato. coming soon !)
I don’t have anything to say on XXXHOLiC yet because I really need a translation to understand what happened.
As for Kobato…

It’s Christmas time ! And we get to see some Nekoi characters walking around the town. I even thought “No, don’t tell me she’s gonna find a freezing Kazahaya on a corner”. Just kidding, I did not think that at all (I just couldn’t lose the joke ^^”) but the guys really seem to have popped out of GD.
But the squeal was harder when she appeared…
CHITOSE—————————–!!! *stupid & hopeless fanboy xD*
She finally showed up ! She and her lovely daughters ;____; And she said “Papa” had Christmas cake for the girls ! Awww, the perfect family model. CLAMP uses “Papa” just to tease us, for sure >_>
Alright enough squealing xDD
So the girls heard Kobato but Chitose thought it was just a cat, and that made me think again that this is all prior to what happened in the “(Temporary)” series. I mean, she haven’t seen anybody, even though they crossed paths, and she haven’t got her bottle yet either. So I wonder if in some point the story will follow the same steps as of the “(Temporary)” series. My opinion? I think so. CLAMP will probably redraw everything, specially if the series keep up with the 14-pages per month pacing (which is so painful, btw -_-). But that might change after this “prequel” part ends.
Moving on…
UEDA-SAN——-!!!!! I love him XDDD Wah, the Chobits characters really are in Kobato ! XD I guess if you have one character, the others come along ^^” Both series are really connected o.o I know they are not the very same characters of Chobits, though.
Now, that woman, the one Kobato gave the cake for, I read it over x_reggg that she wanted to give it to her son, and now I really think she’s Toshihiko’s mom ^_____^ She’s just like he described her, a very busy woman who does the best she can to make her son happy. The spiky hair is the same, at least xDDD
Good lord, she got 9,0 this time ! XD But she really deserved it for what she did to that mother. But when will she get the famous bottle already? o.o

I know what I’m making my x-mas icon from, Kobato! When I have time later that is. Finally some more old characters showing up, but these short chapters are terrible. ;_;
On Holic, all I have to say is that Yuuko is up to something. No payment until after the wish is fulfilled?

The bells are not taking the evil away, it’s drawing it nearer.
Her wish was to not be scared of her house anymore…. a theory is that if you don’t want to be scared of something, get use to it/// or die (ultimately she’s dead so she won’t be scared anymore)

Ok here’s my theory in a chapter of Pesthop of Horrors there was this ghost girl that hadn’t realized she was a ghost,so maybe the scary things are people that are living in her house and she’s spooking them with the bells!

The appearence of Chitose and her daughters was my favourite part (they make such a cute family, why are you hiding guarding the Christmas cake at home, Icchan?) Ueda’s appearence was bonus XD

Vai ver XXXHOLiC vai ter mais uns casos antes do fim… eu acredito em 12 volumes sim, mas é só um palpite, nada oficial foi dito ^^
Eu acho q a historia de Kobato não foi abandonada não… antes eu até achava, mas ate agora tudo pode ser posto como “antes de tudo”… eu acredito que uma hora a historia vai ficar igual à que conhecemos.

someday i’m either going to have to translate kobato or download your scanlations. laziness versus studiousness, which will win? i also feel like my lack of chobits knowledge is becoming a problem. oh well.
as for holic, something sinister happening to that girl (or in general) would be a nice break from the past few months of exposition/cutesiness. the last interesting thing was when watanuki fell out the window…as for two bells, is yuuko trying to make the house less scary by having the girl get used to the ghosts again? i doubt it.

Well, we started a new arc, so the “story” itself is kinda paused until this girl’s problem will be solved. However, Yuuko gave the egg to Doumeki, so I’m thinking that things are just calmed before the storm ^^

I don’t think the bells are magic at all XDDD I might be wrong but, knowing Yuuko, I’d say she gave it so that the girl would think it was the solution to her problem, but it must be all from her own imagination OR CLAMP will throw us some crazy japanese legend to justify why her house is “haunted” XD

Hmm, Yuuko’s being cryptic again. I wonder if there are real ghosts inside the girl’s house or would they be something else, as they always turn out in Holic. Like the girl perhaps being paranoia-,er,-holic. I’m sure the girl now thinks two bells would just make the haunting worse. Can’t help but suspect this arc will link with Tsubasa one way or another.

I wonder that too… part of me thinks it’s all from the girl’s immagination, and part of me thinks it’s because of some popular japanese legend ^^

Every XXXHOLiC volume is linked with TRC, and we haven’t seen a link in this volume yet, so maybe you’re right ^^

Either way, I think this chapter will be very easy to translate. There's not much SFXs and most of the speeches have "Christmas" on it xDDDDDDDDD
