XXXHOLiC DVD #1 Audio commentary + 2nd Season?


XXXHOLiC DVD 1 Audio commentary:

When I heard that ladydarkmoon-chan would get the XXXHOLiC DVDs I immediately begged asked for her to rip the audio commentary that comes in the first one XD

It took some time because she firstly needed to find a way to do it (and just found out maiku41 helped her to do it), but it’s finally here ! *-*

To refresh the memory of some of you, this is the audio commentary of episode 1 made by Tsutomu Mizushima (the director) and Ageha Ohkawa.

Besides being so lovely (I mean, *-*), Ohkawa sounds so shy ^______^ I guess it’s because she’s near someone important while doing something serious.

I know the big part of us can’t understand a lot of what they are saying, but save it and keep it for the day when you’ll fully understand japanese ^_~ XDDDDD It sounds better when you’re listening to it while watching the video (I tried myself XD).

And of course, a big, HUGE thank you to Alison, and Mike-san, for this kind act *bows* ^____^

2nd Season?

I can’t confirm this for sure yet, but Production IG’s website is hinting a second season, which between us, it’s quite likely. I mean, the “last” episode aired today, I haven’t watched it yet but I’m quite sure there was nothing “conclusive” about it, and there’s an extra story for the next week, which doesn’t even seem like to be a continuation of today’s episode.

They can’t just wrap it up like that……….. right? XD I think they are just keeping it a secret till the very last moment, like they always do.

I’ll post here any official confirmation as soon as it comes !

  4. Arigatou gozaimasu!! ^__^ *bows* Kudos to Chibi-Yuuto and Lady-Darkmoon!! I am sure that HOLiC will pull off a second season. I was wondering out of curiosity Chibi-Yuuto, how much do you know Japanese?

    Anyway, here are the episode list from Tsubasa Chronicle just in case you want to inform the others:

    Tell Lady-Darkmoon that we’ll be patient for the scans. So there is no rush for them.

      Almost nothing XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I mean, something around the basics. I know how to write and read katakana and hiragana, and I know a few kanjis too.
      I case you’re wondering how I read P IG’s page, I had the help of an online translator, of course xDD

      About TC episode titles, I saw them as well (I think I posted 48’s title on my LJ, actually o.O), I’ll write about the remaining episodes as soon as I find more info about them (like, the other episode titles + the summaries).

      • Hey that’s something rather than nothing!!! ^__^ That’s totemo kakkoi that you can read and write Japanese. I can read with the help of Tsubasa and HOLiC mangas, but I wish I had a pen-pal to write in Japanese using hiragana, katakana, and kanji.

        You are right about this part. I know some kanji as well, but it takes time to remember them all. I still had a lot of ways to go even though I been studying Japanese by myself for two years. And I think that all books, mangas, and magazines should have the furigana method (like Tsubasa manga) to help read easier. Not just for foreigners, but the Japanese people as well.

        Sore ni, knowing that you can read hiragana, katakana, and kanji maybe it can help you speak the language. Kitto, Chibi-Yuuto wa nihongo o jozu deshou!!! ^__^

        • Yeah, everything I know (even if all this little bit XD) I learned pretty much because of CLAMP and manga/anime in general. My friend taught me how to properly write Katakana and Hiragana too, Yoshiyuki-kun ^__^

  5. I hope!!!

    I just watched episode 23 of Holic. I really liked this arc in the manga, and I thought they did a fantastic job with it in the anime. Which is a relief, since even a die-hard Tsubasa fan like myself has finally decided to call it quits on the anime. Anyway, it was sort of a half-assed conclusion that could easily give way to a second season. Since I really like the anime, I’m crossing my fingers!! I am especially looking forward to seeing the spider arc !! XD

      I loved the XXXHOLiC anime as well. I know some of the designs, specially Yuuko’s, looked kinda wonky most of the times, but they still managed to capture the spirit of the story, which is the most important thing.

      The second part has some many cool characters, I wanna see them all animated *-*

    About the second season… I really hope so *__* But I’d like them to animate more chapters when there were more manga arcs, in order to avoid unnecessary fillers ^^U Maybe that’s what they are planning, whether by waiting a whole season and, them broadcast xxxHolic 2 (Maru & Moro strike back :S) or just waiting for the next season, if they think they have enough chapters.

    However, that hint may be good news. Despite Holic’s manga is way better, I kinda like best the job Prd. IG are doing with xxxHolic than the… er… thing their little sister Bee Train is doing to Tsubasa :S

    • But you know, I was looking, and there was ONLY 5 original episodes in the whole series o___o And 2 of them were written by Ohkawa (which almost can’t be considered as original at all !). I personally think they were so faithful ^___^ I know they changed the order of things, but that didn’t affect much at all.

      I hope Ohkawa will write more for the 2nd season ^___^

  14. *jumps up and down in hopes of a season 2* i just watched episode 23 and the ending of it made it feel like the ending of the series though there’s the side-story next week. but i really would love to see the spider and kohane arcs animated.

    • Oh gosh that’s so amazing. I’d die to have giant size proportions of original CLAMP work hanging on my wall. I’d probably grab something and run out of the museum >_<

      I love how the step by step manga drawing is from the recent chapters of TRC. Amaazziinnggg.
