Some CARDLAND news now, the package illustration for the 2nd Series has been announced:
I liked it a lot! Actually better than the first one. I like how Subaru and Hikaru’s arms are entangled. And Subaru is wearing a blue jacket again xD
That image will also be the illustration for one of the three special cards featuring new CLAMP art:
Left to right: New companion, Lelouch and C.C. and Tokyo Tower (this last one featuring Mahou Kishi Rayearth).
The new Series will come out on the last day of this month, February 29th.
Tentatives dates for the upcoming series have been announced as well, the plan goes as the following:
3rd Series – May, 2008.
4th Series – August, 2008.
5th Series – November, 2008.
There you go, we have at least 3 more series for CLAMP in CARDLAND, and I believe there’s going to be much more than that.
I posted about the official CLAMP in CARDLAND card catalog earlier today, and here are a couple of more information.
It’ll be 144 pages long, from which 112 are full colored. Among it’s contents, the guide will contain information of all 131 cards from the 1st Series, including the Secret and Point cards. The book’s limited first edition will come with two Story Cards:
CLAMP in CARDLAND Official Card Catalog IRREPLACEABLE BOOK will be released on February 15th by Kodansha.

I wonder if it’s worth getting the book, if all the cards are featured in it, seems to me as it will be my only way of getting them.

It’s easier and cheaper than buying booster packs until you have all of them xD

And probably a lot better to store. Having the cards would be wonderful, but in all honesty, I won’t be playing it, don’t have anyone to play it with and would love it for the pretty pictures. xD

The good thing about CLAMP in CARDLAND is that it is a great opportunity to see old characters in new drawings ^^

I agree with the entangled arm, it makes the picture look more animated rather than still if they were draw side-by-side.
Even though I know Hikaru is chibi-sized and all, I’m still surprised to see the immense height difference between Subaru and her.

But Hikaru isn’t chibi-sized xD And yeah, the height difference is quite big xD Well, Hikaru was the shortest of all three knights.

Thx for the news, i like the illustration too, but Hikaru looks a little weird, like not drawn by CLAMP, but its nice to see syaoran with his child suit XD

I think it’s the new art style. She doesn’t have the big eyes so characteristic of Rayearth. But I liked it ^^

Hikaru looks like Hokuto,and Lantis and Hikaru reminds me of Seishirou and Hokuto,a pairing that is not favored by Ohkawa,Mokona did not want Hokuto to die in the end of t.b., perhaps Hikaru-Lantis pairing in MKR2 is a compensation of that.
The style in the card looks like MKR-OVA/CLOVER style

It’s still a bit disappointing that the two cards given with the book are pictures we already know about… ^^;;
I will receive it in march (together with my TRC OVA3) and, if no one at that time scanned it yet, I would be delighted to do it 🙂
And I like the new package illustration better too XD XD XD
I hope someone will put them on ebay when it’s released… (since Amazon do not allow sending trad.cards out of Japan T__T)

I like this package illustration. I think it looks more “well done” than the other * I didn”t like the integration of the characters in the background of the first one*
However, Hikaru face looks a little bit strange * I’m sure it’s only the new style of Mokona *

I didn’t buy the CLAMP in cardland, and I don’t want too…but maybe i’ll buy the book if it shows all the illustrations of the cards ^^

I really LOOOOVEEE the cover.( I love Subaru’s suit) It’s wonderful¡¡¡ Chibi Sakura-chan and Chibi Syaoran-kun are so cute too. It’s an amazing cover and I want to see all of them. I want to find out the drawings which are hided behind the black shadows ^_-
