UPDATE: -san has posted her raw scans of this month’s chapter of Kobato and the information about the official page count is nowhere to be seen in the Kobato. News section. I would like to ask you to please keep the news below as a rumor until I can find a confirmation ^_~
The official page count of the compiled version of Kobato. was announced in this month’s Newtype magazine.
The Kobato. News section states that the first tankoubon of Kobato. will have 164 pages. That’s 16 pages less than the average tankoubon page count.
The 9 “Exams” that cover the first arc of the story have a total of 126 pages, which means there are 38 pages left of material. We can assume that the first chapter of the “(Temporary)” series might be included in the tankoubon (the chapter has 32 pages), although nothing is confirmed yet.
Newtype also confirms that Kobato. will feature the front cover of it’s February issue, out on January 10th. And it doesn’t end here, the February issue of Newtype will carry a “CLAMP Heroines” feature.
Ah, the present campaign to celebrate the release of the tankoubon will present readers with an exclusive Kobato. cushion and a wall mug tumbler. The campaign details will be announced in Kobato. #1 and Newtype #2. I want a Kobato. mug~! xD
Kobato. #1 hits bookstores on December 26th.

Oh noes! Sorry if that’s what you understood in my post, I might not have been clear enough.
It doesn’t come with the magazine, it’s a present campaign. You must buy Kobato #1 and Newtype #2 to get it. I don’t know more details, if it’s some kind of lottery or if you have to apply for it (fill a form and send it, etc).

Yes, the cushion and mug are part of a present campaign. I don’t know if you have to buy both Kobato. 1 and Newtype February to get it though. It just says that details will be in those publications. It is a sort of lottery, sendaway thing. Lucky people will get one of 50 cushions or 250 mug tumblers.
Quick question. Where did you read that the first tankobon will be 164 pages? I’ve been looking everywhere on the news page for the page count (must be going blind). I wonder if all the color pages will be collected? The only interesting information I could find was that Kobato will be part of the Clamp in Cardland Series 2…

About the page count of Kobato #1, I found the news on a japanese blog. I too was expecting to see it in the news page but I couldn’t find it (you’re not going blind xD) I have edited the post to place this news as a rumor in the meantime. Sorry for the inconveniences ^^”

If I don´t remember wrong the international editions are negociated from the tanks so this also means the more-than-possible arrival of the series translated into other languages in local versions. Really cool for everyone, great for you guys! =)
