The Card Captor Sakura official website released a new key visual for the upcoming TV Anime adaptation of Clear Card arc:

The dress Sakura is wearing is the one that appears on volume 3 cover (which is my favorite cover art so far). It looks great! There is a possibility that this dress will be the one featured on the OP sequence. I really hope so as I prefer this one over the pink one that was released first.
I would prefer the cards to be all facing backwards instead of having some of them showing a few characters, but it’s alright xD
Also, some more cast members were announced:
Fujitaka Kinomoto: Hideyuki Tanaka
Spinel Sun: Yumi Touma
Akizuki Nakuru/Ruby Moon: Ryouka Yuzuki
Takashi Yamazaki: Issei Miyazaki
Chiharu Mihara: Miwa Matsumoto
Naoko Yanagisawa: Motoi Eimi
Once again, all of the above cast members will be reprising their roles in the original anime. It’s really amazing that they were able to do so even to secondary characters!
Lastly, Maaya Sakamoto’s official website is announcing that the single of CLEAR (TV Anime OP theme song) will be released on January 31. It will come with an accoustic live performance of Platinum.

I agree about the dress! And really, it makes me happy that the same voice actors are able to play those characters again. I’m so excited!!!

RIP Rika’s VA =/ Surely she would be on board too if she was still alive. Hopefully they will find someone who can play her honorably.
And it DOES look good. They nail Sakura’s design that’s for sure. This should be the official key visual.

You know, if Rika’s role is just to bring Sakura a pop-up book to give to Akiho, they might skip that scene altogether or make someone else to give that book. It would hurt to see that everyone is back to their role save for Rika
the difference would be even more remarked.

Or they can make them text each other and Sakura come to the school with the book already, so Rika’s there but she won’t be replaced…

I totally second the change of dress. The first one looked more like a cheap version of the first series’s iconic pink dress. There have been so many magical girls since, the older Sakura just looked like a rip off her younger version. Plus, they made sleeves to this clearly sleeve-less outfit.
This new one looks more grown-up, less frills and ribbons, more golden and transparency. There’s even a Swan Lake feeling to it.
As for the cards they looks like the old eye catches. ^^
No wait… no Meiling? And she’s not mentioned in the character list either…
Will she be back at all?
