The March issue of Nakayoshi magazine is announcing that the second volume Card Captor Sakura ~Clear Card arc~ will be released on April 1st.

This is the same day as Sakura’s birthday (as you know) and also the same day that the Sakura Festival 2017 will take place, with the anime cast members scheduled to attend.

Like volume 1, volume 2 will also have a limited edition going on sale simultaneously containing the following original goods:

  • Original postcard featuring the Syaoran and Sakura illustration from Chapter 2 title page.
  • Original badge set with one badge of 7 cm size and 3  badges of 5 cm size featuring the color illustrations published in Nakayoshi.
  • Original acrylic keychain sized 11 cm x 7,5 cm with new art drawn by CLAMP.

More info as they come!

  1. Thanks for the news! 🙂
It feels like vol01 was released only moments ago, and they are already announcing vol02 hehe~ Awesome!
How many pages vol 02 will have in the end then?
I’m also curious to see if we are totally back to ‘Sakura only’ book covers, or if the first volume was a one time only thing.

Looks like we are getting the textless version of that SxS illustration already, if this postcard is of as high quality as the ones included in the vol09 special ed of the 2016 release of the manga, I’m totally good with it!
As for badges and keychains…well, it’s fine? ^^; I’m not crazy excited about it either? The fact there is going to be a new illustration on that keychain is great though 🙂

    • I’m kind of looking forward to this, just because it’s something extra than a regular manga volume ^^” But yeah, they will have to be very creative if they want to include goods with every new volume. But it’s the Nakayoshi editorial department we’re talking about, they are pros at making silly goods.

Acrylic keychains seem to be all the rage now.

  2. I actually look forward to the pins and keychains. Though does that mean that we will be given a random character if it’s a set? I can’t wait to see the new art that CLAMP is going to release! Though for the acrylic keychain, 11 cm x 7,5 cm sounds pretty big.

    • I am pretty sure it’s gonna be the same design for everyone, for the keychains, but they might make a set with different characters.

It does seem pretty big but that’s the good thing about it xD

  3. This has absolutely nothing to do with this entry, but if you don’t mind, I would like to ask you a question: how did you import all your posts from livejournal to wordpress?
There is actually an import system available (Settings>Import>Import Livejournal), but it’s not working (I’ve been trying once in a while for the past 2 months…).
I remember vaguely that you had a hard time too in the beginning?

    • Yes, I used WP’s own import tool and yes I had to make several attempts.

It was a pain because the process would go only halfway and skip posts and/or comments. It took me longer than I planned.

I think what helped me was using a very fast connection. I think I did it on my work’s network because it was faster than at home.

So the tool still has problems?

      • More than having problems: it’s totally dead ;__;

It doesn’t even start: we are asked what’s our LJ username & password, then we validate to continue, and an error msg (“Logging in to LiveJournal failed. Check your username and password and try again.”) immediately appears. But there is no logging issues: the import is just not working.
Many people asked about it on WP help forum, all with the exact same problem, and there is just no solution > it’s not currently possible to import from LiveJournal to any other service. This is a problem on their end, so until they fix it nothing can be done…

I will have to look for alternative ways, from the looks of it, I’ll need my LJ’s xml files?
This is the most up to date thread about it: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/import-from-livejournal/page/2?replies=51
I will read the posts very carefully when I have time and see what can I do from there.

        Thanks for answering anyway 🙂

        • There are tools out there that export your entries to XML, including comments.

I hope you don’t give up and live LJ once and for all!

          • Nope, I’m definitely not giving up! I will get it to work on way or another, even if it takes time! ^^

I’ve had my LJ account for almost 12 years, so me leaving it is just not happening, I am emotionally attached to it! ^__^
But as you can see, I’ve been broadening my horizons lately and created accounts in several SNS this past month or so, that’s what I call a good start for 2017, great resolution from my side! XD

            • I know the feeling. 12 years worth of content is a lot. I really hope it works out. Let me know if I can help you with anything else.

And I am loving this SNS-friendly cutesherry xD
