Kobato. gets page increase in Newtype

According to this blogger, the Kobato. manga is getting an increase in number of pages per chapter in Newtype magazine starting from the current issue.

This month’s Kobato. chapter had 24 pages instead of the usual 14. Future chapters will follow the new page count.

That’s great news! Apparently our prays have been heard! =D I’m very happy that Newtype allowed a few more pages for CLAMP (Kobato. needed it). Hopefully this will mean quicker tankoubon releases and provide a better development to the story.

  1. Such a convenient timing ^^ Right when everyone’s patience came to their limits because it was going too slowly and it was too hard to follow it seriously (without yawning) and there was even rumors about it ending at vol6 aha~
I’m getting the Newtype this monday, only the week-end to go XD
But is it really a SURE thing the page count changed? I mean, isn’t it exceptional just because there was a break last month…?

The blogger says “from this issue on” (今月から). Also there’s another blogger that said “from now on” (これから).

I think the announcement is at the gray strip at the edge of the page. They don’t appear in the scans. Will you be able to confirm it for us on Monday?

    • Thank you! Wow it does seem like Kobato. is coming to an end XD

This chapter has no title page, which makes me think it still belongs to volume 5…

Too bad the scans don’t have the gray strip on the edge of the pages… the page increase thing must be written in those.
