CLAMP NEWS !!


– Next scheduled chapters (red means new):

05/09 – Newtype #06 – Drop. 14 (on sale).
06/10 – Newtype #07 – Drop. 15.
07/10 – Newtype #08 – Drop. 16.

– Next scheduled chapters (red means new):

05/13 – Shonen Magazine #24 – Chapter 220 – Beginning of tankoubon 28 (on sale).
05/20 – Shonen Magazine #25 – Chapter 221.
05/27 – Shonen Magazine #26 – No Tsubasa scheduled.
06/03 – Shonen Magazine #27 – Chapter 222.

I was mistaken in regards of Chapter 220 being from volume 27, it is actually the first chapter of volume 28, but alas, no color pages in it (which is very strange if you ask me). In my defense, volume 27 turned out to be thinner than the previous volumes (164 pages of actual chapters). Now, could they be saving the color pages for a later chapter in the volume? If that’s the case, it only raises my suspicions that this is gonna be the final volume. Or, like arkray suggested me, CLAMP could color the currently black and white spread of Chapter 220 for the tankoubon version.

05/25 – Young Magazine #26 – Chapter 182.
06/01 – Young Magazine #27 – No XXXHOLiC scheduled.

According to my counts, Chapter 183 should be the last chapter of volume 15, but I’m not gonna risk the bet since Tsubasa’s volume 27 tricked me. And that double break could be forecasting color pages, making chapter 182 the last one instead, so I’m gonna wait and see what happens.

    I’m uploading the HQ scans for the Deluxe/Normal cover of TRC 27, it should be up in 30min or something~
    And I see there is still nothing about the 7th series of Clamp in CardLand that should *supposedly* be released before the end of the month ^^;;

  2. Yay for more Kobato. 😀 We can see who Blondie is now.

    I’m really wanting some kind of colored pages…but I guess I’ll have to be patient.

    In other things, CLAMP in Vogue? Thats ridiculously awesome. I’m looking forward to that.

  7. it really feels like both tsubasa and xxxholic are going to end soon, but I didn’t expect there will be a two-week break for holic coz the story is in such a critical situation = = Maybe something big in 182 before the breaks?

  9. Thanks for the confirmation on the last chapter for volume 27. It’s been a while, but only two Tsubasa books have begun without color pages (two and three).

    As for xxxHolic, I do think (or at least hope) the next chapter will finish volume 15. I believe all volumes so far are 178 pages. With chapter 181, the total number of pages are 154, leaving 24 pages left. Plus, May 25th is about one month before volume 15’s release date (otherwise, chapter 183 would be released around June 15th, only 8 days before).

    • In the end you were right about Chapter 219! Remember when we wondered if there would be enough time to print the tankoubons and all?

      Exactly, I came up with the same number. With 24 pages, they could easily split between two chapters with 12 pages each, but somehow I agree with you and I think the next chapter will have more than 12 pages to finish that volume off.

  18. Now that it’s really coming to an end, I have the urge to say “No~~~~ I don’t want 28 become the last tankoubon!!!” >__>

    Let’s hope for the second suggestion, that Clamp-sama will color the spread in tankoubon later. 😉

    Hey I am kinda new, even though i just joined this journal site since two years ago. That is not bad news for me. But everyone has made mistakes in our life. What!!!! No xxxholic chapters for two weeks. NO!!!!!!!!! That weekend of june 06-08 is my birthday!!! Pout!! But it will be alright for chapter 182. But yay!! Tsubasa 222 would land on the week before my birthday date!! Can i be your friend?
