The last half of Tsubasa Shunraiki was released yesterday, and you can download it by torrent here (MP4 file, 252 MB).

Update:
– I thought was better than part 1 animation wise, but that doesn’t mean it pleased me, FAR from that.
– The Syaoran VS Syaoran fight was the best part, in my opinion. But Sakura’s stabbing was completely anti-climatic.
– Watching this OAD made me realize that Yuuko CATCHES a sakura petal in her garden right after the death of clone!Sakura’s soul (the “piece” required to revive the clone). Ohkawa, you’re a genius! (However, she doesn’t catch any bits of Syaoran clone as far as we know? xD)
– Clearly they left the door open for a continuation. But is there really going to be a continuation to this? Not in OAD format I suppose? Maybe with the artbook? LOL

Just wondering are they going to release a Tsubasa Shunraiki soundtrack/ost ?

I think all the music is from the Future Soundscape CDs already except for the OP and ED? Like, the ending is “we go further everyday” (which I thought was waay too happy to end this..) and I think the bg music when the Syaorans are fighting is “let go”?

This second half of OAD is much better than I expected… but I still noticed some weird design in some part. But I love the Syaorans fighting part and when I saw Sakura’s blood (or when she got stabbed), I was like OMG!! (O_O).

I liked the fight the most as well. Everything else was lame to me =/
The first stabbing in Sakura’s shoulder was ouchy, but the chest stabbing was so lame.

I was wondering when this was going to be up. Some people sent me the links early this morning on youtube.
Yes, it was the RAWs, but if you read the manga enough, it was easy to understand.
I have to say, it was much better than the first half. I was in tears about poor Sakura, and Cloney. And darn, even Mokona was crying.
Still, the Syaorans fight was pretty amazing. 😀 Favorite part.
I really want the next part animated now!

Hi! Thanks for the links, and for pointing out what Yuuko catches. Do you believe the fan rumor that the reason why they skipped Infinity and Celes is because a Season 3 is in the works? I’ve heard that one so many times, it’s starting to get old…but I can believe, yes?
Just one thing: Is it my imagination or does RealSyaoran look harassed, tired, worn out, while CloneSyaoran looks cocky, calm, confident, and strong. Was that on purpose? And Miyu Irino’s performance, making them sound similar yet different, is awesome ^_^

Re false hope: GAH I know what you mean. I’ve spent a year following false leads, and since my command of Japanese is pitiful at best, I decided to ask an authority–chibiyuuto! That way I won’t be heartbroken again ^_^ Re English subs, I think it usually takes three days to process for that? SO maybe Monday?
And I like what you said: RealSyao needed a good cry. Poor thing. Correct me if I’m wrong but he’s been through basically 14 years of hell? About 7 years old when he arrived, grows to 14 with Sakura (and I was wondering, can someone clarify: did Real Sakura grow up twice, once with him and once with Clone? Because FWR says he cloned RealSakura when she touched the seal–and her companion there, in Vol. 1, is Clone), gets time rewound to 7, then grows up, breaks his prison and gets to AcidTokyo too late?

That is not true. There are no plans for the production of a Season 3.

Yeah, I think so ^^ Clone is stronger than Real!Syaoran after all, due to Fye’s magic.

LOL thanks! I am linking to this post so that my friends will STOP insisting “Oh I heard there’s gonna be a Season 3” (fluffy-chan rolls eyes) …I am sick and tired of getting my hopes up for nothing. Plus, the Chaos arc pretty much killed my appetite for the thing >.< Sorry to Chaos fans; I just didn't like him or his story.

1) i laughed and spit at my computer screen ’cause of seeing Ran Ran’s head becoming a balloon/fish. o.O don’t flame me! *runs*
2) nice Syaorans fight scene! 🙂 at least better than the 2nd tokyo revelation episode. oh yah, and nice job, miyu irino-san!! XD
3) the scene, where watanuki first met yuuko, is animated pretty nice! 😀 they should’ve done that for the first episode of xxxholic. XD but oh well! 🙂

….I was displeased with both OADs. And I agree with you that the fight was the high point of the animation, even if it was a lot of repeating moves. I dunno if anyone else notices this but when they put panels directly from the manga into the OADs they tend to hold the shot longer (as if we wouldn’t know it’s from the manga…) and it made some moments awkward. I’ll be surprised if they animate anymore but if they do I hope they stop using the strangest of the tracks from the OSTs. Was not working ;;

I definitely liked this Oad more but compared to Tokyo Revelations I was dissapointed…Especially Sakura’s death and the music most of the time was not appropriate :S
I want to see all the chapters animated…but with more quality in the art department!The manga is so well drawned, it deserves more than this…I think they should just end it with a movie along with Holic; make it a double feature like they did before. But I doubt it’ll ever happen.
Loved Miyu Irino though 😛

I really agree that Shunraiki Part 2 is better than Part 1. Still, the whole OAD is not impressive to me. I think the colours of the characters and background need not to be that Sharp. In my mind, it should be darker and kind of shadowy to match the story.
On the brighter side, I gasped when scenes from Clow-koku were included. The reservoir is beautiful. Is the “Unexpected Character” mentioned in the early screening refer to Real Sakura?
Also, the performance of Miyu-kun is so good. I didn’t expect that he can portray the two Syaorans that well. (Don’t get me wrong, I am absolutely an Miyu-fan 🙂 )

I only really liked the flashbacks and the Syaorans battling. I didn’t like much else of it though.. Feh, they always end with them travelling to a new world. And I’m kind of hoping they’ll continue it a bit. The end of the manga should be made into an OAD/similar at least.. but then we’ll still have to wait until then. How did they decide on what to animate anyway? So far connections I see are that there are 2 Syaorans in both.. XD.

this OAD was a little much better than the first one, but nothing compare to the Tokyo Revelations one. and I’m still mad that they didn’t did a Celes arc OAD!!!! I was so hopping to see the Infinity arc and then the Celes arc I guess my prayers weren’t answered. T_T

The animation in this OAD was the best yet I would say, the design of the characters was close to the manga and their movement flowing. It would be interesting to hear exactly what displeased you with this part, since you said the animation was good, was it the voiceacting, pace, music? Regarding the last thing I think it would be nice if they renewed the soundtrack, because it would fit better and these OADs would be less connected the the anime. The opening for example, happy-go-lucky with flowers everywhere…*Sigh* xxxHolic is a huge step ahead in that area.
Even though I want more then only OADs, I’m happy to see parts of the manga animated at all!

I actually thought this was a great OAD. Better than the first. Of course, as everyone said, it didn’t impact me as much as Tokyo Revelations, but I still disagree with everyone on how it didn’t play out well. I think, animation-wise, it would be extremely hard to animate some scenes without straying from the manga (and that’s the last thing I.G. wanted to do), so I congratulate them on their extreme effort and the final result. The whole drama after the fight is actually very good since it delves into the most important parts and beyond the sadness, it drives the attitudes of everyone. It’s very realistic. So all in all, it was satisfying for me. Not the best, but it did its job.
Also, I saw on a Japanese CLAMP/Tsubasa/holic fansite that the most popular arc to want to be animated (after Tokyo) was Japan, by far. Typical American manga/anime fans are very different from the typical Japanese fans. There are plenty of differences in the preferences. Thus, if Japanese fans didn’t care as much about the middle arcs, why should they animate them [first]. I.G. has lost alot of its revenue in sales. They can’t always afford to do long series without the proper fanbase/consumer interest. I’m not sure CLAMP could have given them a full contract either (and it seems unlikely that anyone else will be allowed for the contract in the first place).
And finally, I have a question. I can’t remember, for the life of me, when the Horitsuba drama will be out. >.

Yes. Infinity was the second top voted. There were only 4 arcs listed, but sadly, Celes was 3rd… Clow was last, but I have to wonder why? I’m really looking forward to that one. Of course, who knows how long they were into Clow koku when the poll started…
