The subbed version of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki Part 1 has finally been released by ACG fansub (MKV format).

And they fucked up Yuuko’s letter so bad, compare the original to this pile of poop.
Anyone is better off downloading the [SubsFuckingWhere]’s v2 version for your better video and audio quality, and using MY PATCH HERE to input [ACG]’s decent translation into the file (along with some minor changes..).
There is no karaoke, but you are welcome to wait for a quality group to do this.

I only watched SubsFuckingWhere’s version and the translation is good enough.
They make terrible mistakes with some names but that didn’t annoy me (I don’t think they follow the manga or the previous animes).

I don’t think that actually fixes the name mistakes though (you would have to edit the subtitles and for that you need to extract the subs from the MKR file, edit them and them merge them again, I think).
Also, I haven’t tried following ‘s instructions yet.
I guess none of the two are well-recommended. But it’s the best we have so far. Hopefully other versions will show up later.

ACG’s got a new translation checker who is a big fan of the series working on a version 2, which will also be a DVD version release. So at the very least a much better version should be out in 2-3 days.

I don’t see what the fuss is over ACG’s sub I watched it and did notice one spelling mistake but nothing that would interfere with my enjoyment of watching Holic. But, I do appreciate(& thank) ACG since they want to release a v2 with the DVD.^^

I downloaded the SubsFuckingWhere fansub and used xgraphy’s patch, okay? It all worked wonderfully and the patch was very easy to install. (Thank goodness, lol) But one problem: When I opened the file to play it, there wasn’t any sound. O_O. I have no idea what’s wrong. I thought it was my computer at first, but I tried playing another MKV file and it worked fine. Anyone else having trouble? If so, can anyone offer me some help?
