CLAMP NEWS !!

We have lots and lots of news today, phew, let’s do it in parts.


– Next scheduled chapters (red means new):

01/10 – Newtype #02 – Drop. 12 (on sale).
02/10 – Newtype #03 – Drop. 13.
03/10 – Newtype #04 – Drop. 14.

Nothing changes in Kobato.’s schedule.

– Next scheduled chapters (red means new):

01/28 – Shonen Magazine #09 – Chapter 211 – Beginning of tankoubon 27 (on sale).
02/04 – Shonen Magazine #10 – Chapter 212.
02/10 – Shonen Magazine #11 – Chapter 213.
02/18 – Shonen Magazine #12 – No Tsubasa scheduled.

Notice that Shonen Magazine #11 will exceptionally come out on Tuesday, not Wednesday like usual.

Much more details of CLAMP’s large feature in Da Vinci magazine has been announced.

On to the contents, then!

Title is Wishing CLAMP – 20th Anniversary Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC Climax! (19 pages full-color.)

– Gravure of Mariko Shinoda (from the all-female idol group AKB48) as Ichihara Yuuko (cosplay picture).
– Work guide and link collection of XXXHOLiC and Tsubasa.
– CLAMP special long interview.
– Complete work (comics) introduction and ranking.
– 20th Anniversary messages from Hirohiko Araki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure mangaka), Nanami Kamon (novelist to whom CLAMP has drawn illustrations for), Kikuchi Mika (Mokona’s seiyuu), Yoshiki Tanaka (Soryuuden writer), Goro Taniguchi (Code Geass creator), Katsuya Terada (illustrator), Shouko Nakagawa (idol), Nishio Ishin (writer of XXXHOLiC’s novel), Nobuyuki Fukumoto (Akagi mangaka), Takashi Yamazaki (movie director), Ryukishi07 (game creator).
– CLAMP’s book recommendations.
– Goods information.
– Interview with the directors of XXXHOLiC and Tsubasa OADs, Tsutomu Mizushima and Tada Shunsuke.

It says CLAMP’s interview was given while they were working, so I hope they’ll show pictures of their studio! They really meant when they said it would be a large feature, this sounds so awesome! I hope someone will scan it *-*

The magazine comes out on February 6.

• Featuring CLAMP:

A symposium about mystery with CLAMP (Nanase Ohkawa and Tsubaki Nekoi) and Soryuuden’s creator Yoshiki Tanaka will be published in the February issue of IN★POCKET magazine, a magazine about pocket books.

The magazine goes on sale February 13.

• Website:

And last but not at all least, CLAMP-NET.COM will be renewed in the Spring! The website states that the new version will merge CLAMP-NET.COM and CLAMP’s mobile websites (CLAMP@MOBiLE and CLAMP-PLA.NET). In order to make it happen, the private area of CLAMP-PLA.NET will be closed from February 28 onwards for preparation’s sake. They mention that the full “-NET.COM/@MOBiLE/-PLA.NET” integration with improved services will be launched on July 1st.

I absolutely LOVE when CLAMP-NET.COM gets renewed *-* *dork* I can’t wait for its new design and hopefully new sections, also the new CLAMP@MOBiLE services too! Cannot wait for Spring with full CLAMP 20th Anniversary commemorations!

So that’s basically it, looking after all those japanese names for the Da Vinci entry was so hard XDDDD

By the way, tomorrow my all-time favorite singer OMFG Alanis Morissette will play in São Paulo after a hiatus of almost 10 years since her last presentation here in my city. And I will be there of course watching her concert for the first time! WISH ME A GOOD TIME! ^__^

  1. I pre-ordered the Da Vinci mag from Amazon.jp a week ago ^^
    The problem is…for whatever reason, it says it won’t be dispatched until…march??! @__@ I sure hope it’s only an error in their system ^^;; But since it’s like that, I can’t tell when I will receive it, so I’m not sure either when I’ll be able to scan/share it >x

    Alanis was here in Natal-RN, I was shocked! o_O Nothing happens in this place, and all of sudden she was here xD I LMAO
    But I only found out that today xD” Too bad, she’s a great musician xD Go and enjoy the show for all of us! o/~

  7. As usually, thank you very much my friend for bring Clamp’s info back to us. ^^
    Its really so many info in february edition.And i’m really sure, we all waiting for Clamp’s large feature in Da Vinci Magazine.Imagine it, they give 19 pages full colour. Wow! XDDD
    Hope there is more picture from Clamp and their work.^____^

    Btw, ganbattene chibiyuuto. Hope the best for all for your concert (errr, i mean Alanis concert ^^;). Hope you will enjoy it.

  18. Ahh! I love Fukumoto Nobuyuki-sensei!! I can’t wait to see what his message will be.

    Congrats on seeing Alanis Morissette! I was a huge huge fan of hers in the 90s, hehe. And I love singing “You Oughta Know” on Rock Band! Make sure to take lots of pictures, and have a great time! [:

    I didn’t know it was such a long hiatus since last time there.

    Thanks for the news, as always. Sorry if I don’t post as often as I would like, my “holidays” are even more busy right now than working. But I always read everything you put, you can count on that!
