Kobato. Drop. 12 by CLAMP No Lumiere

It’s now available at CLAMP No Lumiere.

I loved the splash page with CLAMP’s mascots X3 100% Nekoi-made.

I love that Ioryogi has some respect for Ushagi, at least he has some for their supervisors. But what sort of message he sent to “him”? Did he ask for a longer deadline? I hope we’ll be seeing Ushagi again soon.

Then we see some pretty bishounen fight. CLAMP loves those arm twists.

What the hell was Kobato about to say? Damn it, CLAMP, what a cheesy method of creating some mystery xD What does she know about fighting and people being hit? Did she use to hit people? LOL She speaks like she knows how it feels…

Sorry I didn’t have much to say this time around, looking forward to the next chapter as always, please let it have more of Okiura =D

  1. Thanks for the scanlation ^^
Kobato’s past and wish are definitely things to looks forward to! 😀
I don’t think Kobato will be too long (maybe 7/8 volumes?). After all, it’s a monthly release: to add up, say, 5 books to the already 3 existing ones would already take…around 40 months (=3 years+4months) if we consider there would be 8 chapters per book…I’m not too sure it will drag on any further then this aha~

Just one note: I’m not too sure the word ‘please’ should be in page2.
From the context, it seems like the first time he didn’t say it (page02) and before the lack of reaction of the usagi, he added it up afterward (page03)

    • Every now and then I catch myself wondering how long will Kobato. be. Sometimes I think it could easily be 15 volumes, and sometimes I think 7/8 volumes are just fine too. I guess we’ll have a better idea after the anime ends its 24 episodes (second season or actual end).

Oh noooes XD you’re totally right! It was my mistake, I just checked Jamie’s translation. I’m sorry, I’ve fixed it! =)

Aha, me too ^__^ The ‘time evaluation’ above is pretty much me uselessly burning my brain cells on small matters, better then conserving them for my upcoming exams XD
        I guess I also can’t help wonder about it…

Glad I could be of help with this. Your scanlations of Kobato are always the best ^^

  2. I can’t wait to find out why Okiura is playing the ‘bad’ guy for Sakaya.
And Kobato’s reaction is reminding me of Watanuki for some reason. Something in the line of how she used to “live for others but not herself” and now she’s changed. Like Reformed!Watanuki of present day HOLIC. Heh, did any of that make sense? xD

I continue to be irritated by the abrupt endings of Kobato; I think they’re much worse than xxxHOLIC. >_<

Thank you for your guys continued hard work! ♥

WHAT? CLAMP is fooling with us again? XDDD I’m burning my brain down trying to figure it out too. But we know he simply is not “bad”, he can’t fool us. I feel he is doing that to protect her, but I can’t figure why he must make her suffer for that.

      Thank you for downloading it!

  3. Pretty bishounen fight sounds a bit redundant, who’s pretty? The fight? Or the bishounen?

    Thanks for the release! 😀

Yum yum, more Okiura O-N-E-G-A-I, CLAMP!

  4. Aw man, of course I’m away from my normal computer and USB right now so I can’t download it, but thanks in advance for doing this! And someone seriously needs to pick this up in the US, my USB is getting too full from all the Kobato chapters… and we need a Kobato artbook!

Should have known better than to taunt Ioryogi about having to say “please.”

I fangirled over Fujimoto like a dork in this chapter. 😡

Somehow, I can see Kobato boxing or something. xD But I think what she was about to say was connected somehow with her fear of people dying. Maybe somebody close to her got killed in a fist fight?

  6. oh my! o.o this is one interesting chapter, indeed.

awww, ioryogi-san ish changin a widdle bit, ishn’t he? 83 wid a widdle “pwease” in hish wequesht *gets flamed by ioryogi-san* yeek! XD
sorry bout that! i’m just not used to seeing him showing his soft side! did you feel a little “mush” between Ushagi-san and Ioryogi-san? X’D

    Pretty fight, indeed! O_O

Shocking moments overall: Ioryogi-san’s soft side, Okiura’s serious face, and Kobato, who knows how it feels to fight and hurt, and suddenly went “huh?” after she was bout to finish the sentence.

ooh~~~ new revelations… :3 air of mysteries are filling in right now…

  7. Oh, thank you for CnL’s hard work. ^_^

I thought it was a very interesting chapter, with the interaction between Fujimoto, Kobato, and Okiura. The debt-collector has always been a little too cheerful, but to see a serious side to him when it comes to Sayaka is something new. And I think he’s only one who calls Fujimoto by his given name, I don’t think I even recall Sayaka calling him “Kiyokazu” before. O_o

But Clamp really deflated everything (in a not so Chaucer-ish fashion) with Kobato ending the chapter like that; I agree that ending like that is frustrating…
