XXXHOLiC goes CARDLAND, Indiana Jones

Here is it, the final list of upcoming XXXHOLiC◆Kei episodes. The series ends by the end of this month, and I like the staff for the final 3 episodes.

As you can imagine, I am so happy Ohkawa wrote episodes 11 and 12, which will cover Himawari’s arc. And episode 12 will be directed by Tsutomu Mizushima, this is the first time he directs an episode that was written by Ohkawa. Tsutomu Mizushima episodes have the greatest quality, teamed with the greatest script, it should be a good episode xD

And seems like I was wrong when I translated that event report where Mizushima supposedly says he would write only one episode, apparently he didn’t write any. Sorry about that! ^^;

This is something I saw today at Nekoi’s private board and thought “I have to post this, for the sake of the DouWata fans out there xD”:

This is, as you can see, a little doodle Nekoi did because she wants to watch the new Indiana Jones movie. In case you’re wondering, Watanuki is supposed to be the heroine Marion xD

  4. Kazuchika Chise is the animation director for episode 12? FUCK YEAH SEAKING. Although the animation directors for episodes 11 and 13 are unknown for me…

    I hope Yukina Hiiro does a job like the one she did on episode 6… It’s not like it was bad directed, but the plot itself wasn’t interesting. (And gave me a crapload of work.) But yay for Yatsutaka and Tsutomu striking back as directors on episodes 11 and 12!

    Also… Ookawa.

      I’m not so sure about the 13 one… I have doubts on their first name, Aya. Hum…

      Don’t think so. They said at the event that they were at that time storyboard-ing Episode 12, so that means the script was way done by then. She posted that she was plotting anime on April 20, which is later than the event day.

      Writing the script is the first stage of any visual production, I would say they were 100% done when the series debuted, to say the least.

  7. Doumeki Jones is totally crack worthy. It entirely fills me to the brim with fan-squeals and catchy giggles. Thank you. Thank you, CLAMP. Once again, you prove to me that you can indeed be that much more awesome. I love you, CLAMP.

    I thought the last three episode would be the Himiwari arc. What the heck is Thunder Beast? And more importantly, how are they going to squeeze the huge, awesome Himiwari arc into 2 episodes?

    And so there is the thunder beast episode after all…I didn’t thought it will be the last one though.

    So xxxHOLiC second seson is almost over…I wonder if the BIG project about xxxHOLiC and TRC will be another “combo-movie”…that would be great *___*

    i was in love with Indiana Jones until my teen years!!!
    and Doumeki Indiana is so made of win and Marion and Indiana always argue in all the movie practically
    and the card is simply beautiful!

  15. So you were right about #11 and 12 being Himawari episodes after all ^^

    Watanuki looks really LOL in a dress. Especially if we consider that Marion didn’t even wear that kind of dress in the movie. She wore a zafari outfit that outlined her very big ass. Yes! She’s old and big now! And Indi is way too old to be doing the young carefree explorer. He can’t even move sometimes. I really likethe old ones best.

      I thought they would push it to the end of the series when instead of Himawari we had Kohane’s arc. And then I saw the titles “Alone” and “Truth” and I concluded those are perfect titles for Himawari’s arc.

      Indeed that dress is too classy for Indiana Jones xD

    OH WOW!! I tip my Cubs hat off to Nekoi for the coolest Indiana Jones doodle. I was making one myself a few days ago, but with another CLAMP character. >///< Might post it on "The Nyanko Chronicles". *giggles* I know that he's supposed to be Marion, but then again… I was thinking of Willie Scott – the always-shrieking singer from the other movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (if you watched it). It fits since Watanuki is always shrieking to Doumeki on the HOLiC series. XDDD Very nicely done! ^o^

    The Secret Card is all right, but I really love Yuuko more than Syaoran on this one. His suit is nice, but Yuuko's dress is LOVE!! ^^ The flowers really make her such a beautiful lady. I love the colors so much and it's a nice touch. Kirei desu wa!

      • Never, ever!? O.o Dude, you should definitely watch it! Because if you watched “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”, I was going to say that the black manjuu bun can be “Short Round”. XDDD

        Of course, that drawing reminds me of an near actual scene from the movie “Raiders of the Lost Ark” for Marion really had that same kind of dress. Nekoi did an amazing job with the drawing and it’s so pretty! ^o^

        I just hope that Doumeki Jones isn’t afraid of snakes… *laughs*

  24. Aw, so there are really only 13 episodes of xxxHOLiC? =/ Oh well, they got to the Himawari arc, and that’s all I’ve been waiting for. I love that arc!

  26. The drawing by Nekoi made me laugh so hard I had to stiffle it before mom saw and disapproved yet again of CLAMP’s sense of humor (she didn’t like Yuuko dressed up as a spanish lady either T-T )

    but that is awesome. Oh…that calls for a fic….hehehehe, Indiana was good though. AND Watanuki..is once again in a dress XDDDDDD

    and the Shaoran and Yuuko card is rather pretty as well

    But…on another note…Himawari’s ark is only two episodes long? And a full episode for the Thunder Spirit…was that chapter even that important? Mm…We’ll see how it goes, but somehow i think it would have been a nicer note to leave it on the “and we are all friends and will always support each other” ending from Himawari’s ark…. *shrug*

    Don’t worry, it’s not like he’s the one we looking forward to see his script made into episode. ^_^

    So the thunder beast will make the final, and Himawari’s story will last two episodes. The only stuff left that isn’t related to Tsubasa is what happen after Watanuki’s fall, like the mitten rage, webby hand or the bird ladies. I wonder if it will even get animated…

    Well, we are ready for xxxholic OAD, Kodansha! When do you plan to anounce the project? (We know Ohkawa is already working on it XD)

      大川さん：今回監督は1話も書いてないんですよね。大きく振りかぶっていたりしましたから(笑)。

      I’m uncertain if she said “the director will not write even 1 episode” or “the director will write no more than 1 episode”.

      Anyway! We have Ohkawa writing two more episodes, Tomoe-chan! *high-five* That’s 4 episodes out of 13. The average is bigger than last season where we had 4/26.

        She said no episode at all. The something “mo” something “nai” phrasing means there’s not. Like in Dare mo inai, there’s no one.

        *high-five back* Ohkawa and Yokote did 9 episodes out of 13 and Sakurai did only one! A much better ratio than last series! (12/24 for last series) ^_^

  28. I think it’s a pity this season is so short.. only 13 episodes. I wonder if they’ll do a third season or not, I mean in the manga it’s pretty obvious that the end of xxxHolic is goíng to be connected to Tsubasa and since the anime hasn’t connected those two series at all I wonder how it will be, will the xxxHolic anime be cancelled after this like the tsubasa anime or will they come up with an own ending, we’ll have to wait and see…I also think it’s good that Ohkawa is writing the script for some episodes, *thumbs up* Then it has to be good. *Waiting with exitment for the Himawari arc*

    Very pretty card, *.* Though, maybe it’s just me, doesn’t Syaoran look slightly younger..?

  33. About the HOLiC/Indy oekaki… I.JUST.COULDN’T.HELP.IT XD It’s too good to resist XDDDD

    Since it’s Ohkawa and Mizushima, I’ve got great expectations for those episodes, even if they’re only two ^^ (but they’ve been hinting Himawari’s situation heavily since the anime started, they’ve been making it much more obvious, so I hope two episodes will be enough taking that into account).

    Seems like the last episode will be something along the lines of the first season’s last episode: episode 12 will be the ‘real ending’ and 13 will be a ‘gaiden’/side story, like Bone-kun’s.

    The card’s illustration is really pretty ^^ But even so, I find something strange in Yuuko’s face, and I don’t know what it is O_o
