CLAMP Internet Radio #42

Guest: Shizuka Itou (Himawari’s seiyuu in XXXHOLiC)

– She doesn’t sound like Himawari at all xD

– She played Chun Hyang in Tsubasa Chronicle too, I didn’t remember that.

– She leaves with her mom, dad, brother, sister and two dogs (“Chichi, haha, ani, ane, inu, inu” so cute xD)

– She likes alcohol, specially beer.

– She failed at the tongue-twister challenge xD

– E-mails time. One listener asked what kind of guy she prefers, the Watanuki or Doumeki kind of guy. She answered Watanuki (but with a certain doubt).

– They are still recording for XXXHOLiC◆Kei (Ohara Sayaka recently posted on her blog saying that there’s still a bit more left of after-recording).

– I’m pretty sure Ohkawa confirms that XXXHOLiC◆Kei will have 13 episodes (could you double check this for me, clstmk-san? The part where she says “1クール” around 30:15 secs).

– What’s that, Himawari suddenly bursts into the studio? XD

– There was a static noise in the recording of this episode that never appeared before. It’s not loud enough to annoy or compromise what they are saying or anything, but I hope they fix it in the future episodes.

  4. thanks i think all women wants a men who can cook and help, and be handson, brave and with a great heart who can’t, but i can’t stand the annoyance of him screaming, and he is like my boys moving here and there so no one could tell strait “i keep Kimihiro” but all love ur little hero in a maternal way!!!

  7. No wonder she sounded like Chun Hyaung!!! Shizuka-chan didn’t sound like both of them, though. She sounded kinda like Mika Kikuchi in real voice (not Mokona…), but more mature.

    I couldn’t get her interest (“Suri” and Scuba diving). B-day is Dec 5th, 1980. She likes salty foods. She also doesn’t like to drink gradually… Then she talked about how she was “brave” or her personality changes when she drinks.

    She wanted to be a bride when she grew up. She didn’t know what she wanted to do for work and did work without purpose (or without anything fun) for a year. She worked in a game selling shop and her co-worker talked to her about anime and stuff. Then when she tried, she felt fun. Also, she voiced when she read manga. THese two points she became a seiyuu. One of her first voices was one of the characters from Anpan-man (only “hi~”).

    Her personality is very “ossan”(old man like) and when she saw a large breast, she want to touch it!! lol.

    charm point?? her hair being short and straight??

    sleeping is how she take care of stress. during the tv program, one of the person is beginner of mahjung and she started to learn with her??

    she’s not that a strong drinker. she managed to arrive home and sleep immidiately (but not sleeping outside).

    she was doubted because she said watanuki and doumeki are two different kind of guys and she wanted both characteristic together.

    – I’m pretty sure Ohkawa confirms that XXXHOLiC◆Kei will have 13 episodes (could you double check this for me, clstmk-san? The part where she says “1クール” around 30:15 secs).
    I think it was “あと１クール” (until one cooru more). She was mentioning that when she was appointed again for Himawari, she immidiately read the manga in the coffee shop and was over “emotioned” about the part she wanted to do!! (though it’s not there yet.) I think she meant for Himawari arc (the Himawari that’s different from the normal smily Himawari)??

    CLAMP talked about their impression of their first meeting her. (one of them was forehead was large)

    She will be performing on the program on August.

      Oh I see ! But either way, I think when Ohkawa says that she was appointed to one more cooru, doesn’t it mean that XXXHOLiC will be only 1 cooru?

      • um, forgive me for sounding ignorant…but what’s a cooru? is that the japanese term for arc or something?

        • A cooru/kuuru is a unit of measure used for japanese TV shows. They measure for how long a show will be broadcast.

          Shows of 1 cooru/kuuru lasts for 3 months, in case of an anime or a Drama, it means it’s going to have 12 or 13 episodes. While shows of 2 cooru/kuuru lasts for 6 months and so on.

          It’s like “seasons” xD

          And don’t worry about sounding ignorant. I didn’t know it either until just recently ^^

      Though I think her main hobby will always be drinking (and special skill is sekuhara-ing). XD

    Hahaha as expected of Itou Shizuka-sama. Apart from her sexy voice, one of her traits which made me pinned her as one of my favorite seiyuu is her ero-jiijii personality. She’s famed for being a sexual harasser of women. Ueda Kana has called her an Oppai Sommelier, kinda like a Boobs Specialist coz according to Kana-chan, “She (Shizuka-chan) has a body and oppai fetish with all of the female seiyuu who have worked with her… Apparently, there has been NO female seiyuu who hasn’t had their boobs touched by her (at least not by Kana-chan’s knowledge)… She touches their boobs as her unique way of greeting them “Good Morning”… She is all-knowing about who has nice boobs – who has big boobs, small boobs, she knows them all…” I was quoting Kana-chan’s words btw, if I recalled them correctly. XD
