I’m gonna write a more in-depth commentary about Kobato. when we release the scanlated version, but for now, I’m just going to say that I died and went to heaven after seeing Green Drugstore, its workers and Touya in the same chapter.
Short, because there isn’t much development in XXXHOLiC lately, and to tell you the truth, Kohane’s story doesn’t attract me that much. But we see Watanuki and Doumeki bursting in a TV network, cool! xD I thought Himawari’s father would be somehow important, or that we would actually see his face, but it doesn’t seem the case.
What it does seem to be the case here is Kohane trying to set her mother up? I think she’s lying so that nobody will believe her anymore and thus, her mother will be forced to leave this showbiz thing.

The official website of the XXXHOLiC anime has been updated featuring a new cover illustration and an event announcement!
To celebrate the start of the new season, XXXHOLiC◆継, a special event will be held on March 15th at LOFT PLUSONE.
So far, CLAMP members and director Tsutomu Mizushima are confirmed guests, but other guests are expected to appear as well.
LOFT PLUSONE is the same venue where the Ayakashi Laboratory XXXHOLiC event and the 2007 CLAMP New Year’s Party event were held.
I’ve already warned yoshiyukikun about this event, he’s gonna try to get a ticket, which will start selling on March 1st via Lawson’s Tickets. I said try because the last CLAMP event that went on sale via Lawson’s had its tickets completely sold out in only 2 hours! But don’t worry, we’ve got a plan xD
First CLAMP event of 2008! I hope CLAMP-PLA.NET will cover it in all possible ways (meaning radio and report xD), and I hope Yushiyuki-kun can make a nice report for us as well.

Sometimes she’s cute and adorable, but she’s too angst for me. I know she has (very good) reasons to be like that, but that’s way over the top for me. I genuinely hope she’ll be happy in the end. She deserves it.
Yay for Gouhou Drug! They looked all very weird but I guess it’s because they were just being background characters xD

I agree, I love angst, I really do, but I just find Kohane a bit much, at least she’s finally speaking up now. I may be being a bit harsh since she is only a child but CLAMP seem to have overdosed us with angst recently, what with recent Tsubasa chapters as well

Kohane is a lot of angst. But I’ve been liking the recent chapters with their random existential comments and dire atmosphere. I wouldn’t be surprised if something unexpected winds up happening. If nothing else, it’s given Watanuki and Doumeki a chance to play secret agents.

I was half-hoping that the twist would be her mom killed Kohane’s dad or something, and she was afraid of touching her daughter since she’d read her. D8 But if Kohane-chan can find away out from being in TV and maybe escape her mom… go, Kohane-chan. ;_;

I was also stumped why Kohane said it’s all right to lie – when she always told the truth up till now. I definitely think you’re right, she seems to be setting her mother up, maybe not out of revenge, but to end this once and for all.

I’m getting pretty scared that Kohane’s Mom is gonna kill her. Xxxholic doesn’t seem like one of those series that are in for a happy ending, and at best I can see Kohane getting taken in by Yuuko/Watanuki. I just sort of doubt it.

I seriously thought Kohane was going to be killed. I was sitting at my computer and let out this terrified little scream when I saw the page where her mother attacks her.
I want Doumeki and Watanuki to take her in and care for her! Watanuki would be a good mommy, and Doumeki would be like, “Did anyone make fun of you for seeing spirits? I’ll fix that,” and grab his bow and go scare anyone who is mean to her.

Honestly, as much as I love HOLiC; the arc right now… It really depresses me more. I know I see Doumeki and Watanuki. But now, I want to see the connection between Watanuki and Syaoran like now … I mean I’m a shipper and I love how Doumeki gets an airtime (LOL) but honestly, I feel so depressed.

I was actually expecting something more dramatic when the woman started to strangle Kohane-chan. Poor Kohane… I hope “Prince Watanuki” comes and saves her soon.
Touya and Fujimoto – introducing the full-time part-timers club (wouldn’t that make a good episodic manga series?) ^_^ Is that Kazahaya and Kakei in the background? Hahaha… the Green Drugstore using bunny mascots, which reminds of Touya’s costume in the 2nd CCS movie.

I can’t help but get this feeling that Kohane is going to give up her powers, just a nagging feeling here, and that she wasn’t lying, that the ladies husband really was dead (and that the wife killed him, again just a feeling).

Well, as for the new season of xxxHOLiC, I hope the animation has gotten any better, since first season was like … boring? I couldn’t even finish watching it D= The Kanji used for the second season is like a black spot on my screen lol, how is that even read ? O=

I REALLY hope the animation gets better in this new season as well! I mean, really! The 1st one was “ok”, but there was a few episodes with iffy animation.

about xxxholic 2nd season
Does anybody knows if the production is going to show us the parts of tsubasa group? I can’t really go happy if I won’t see watanuki dosing of and meet sakura and sayoran!
and about Kohane arc- could it be she gave yuuko her powers as a payment for something? (we know that yuuko can be a bitch somethimes, taking things that she wants..)
