CLAMP NEWS !!

CLAMP-NET.COM’s update has been postponed to July 2nd since July 1st was a Sunday. It’s their new policy, no updates on holidays or weekends.

• CLAMP in 3-D LAND:

The official site of CLAMP in 3-D LAND has been updated with much bigger pictures of the 4th Series’ figures. Make sure to check them!

• DVD:

The release date of CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 2 DVD has been decided!

It’ll be a DVD box set with the 1st and 2nd installments of CLAMP IN WONDERLAND, as expected. Entitled CLAMP IN WONDERLAND 1&2 1989～2006＜PRECIOUS BOX＞, the set will be released on October 26th, costing 3990 yens.

That box is, however, a limited first run edition, meaning that they might release a single edition for “2” later.

Distributor Bandai Visual has opened a special hotsite for the release and you can check it here. The site is still not on it’s full content, though.

In addition, the box will come with a special booklet 230-pages long. The booklet will contain the original storyboards by CLAMP and MADHOUSE as well as an interview.

The jacket illustration for the box will be drawn by CLAMP.

My comments: Haha, look at that title! XD PRECIOUS! All I really wanted apart from the video themselves was to see Mokona and Nekoi’s storyboards for them, I cannot be any happier to see that they’ll be in ^______^ I just hope someone will get that Box and scan the booklet ^^”””

A CLAMP commentary would be very welcome too! Although maybe 7 minutes is too short for that XDDD

Also, I didn’t expect it to come out so soon! My guess was sometime around December. And the box illustration by CLAMP, so wonderful! I’ve no idea how they’ll manage to fit so many characters, though XDDD
In other words: I CANNOT WAIT! *-*

• CD:

2 days before the release of the DVD Box, a special CD will be released with the songs featured on the video, action! (Opening Theme) and Oh!Yeah! (Ending Theme).

The CD is temporarily entitled CLAMP IN WONDERLAND＜PRECIOUS SONGS＞ and it’s scheduled to be released on October 24th.

More details about those releases to come!

          • heh… Actually I kinda understand because his character is between love and hate. You may love him because his cool and calm personality and you may also hate him because he’s so boring. I dunno, I really love him and it’s a coincident that his seiyuu is Nakapan lolz

              • Actually I knew Doumeki first. I like Watanuki first because I love his spazzing, but as the story progresses, I like Doumeki more. This is his first anime I watched, even he’s been in One Piece for a long time. 8 years to be exact? because it started on 1999

    Another two weeks without Holic! I wished that Holic continues on its own, because being ‘closely connected’ with TRC doesn’t bring it any good :/

      Tell me about it! Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC started a new tank together and Tsubasa has already one full volume while XXXHOLiC has STRUGGLED to adquire half a tank =\

    Whatever…CD + DVD O.O that was so fast what happened with all the marketing and squeezing money for a long period with events and things like that? XDDDD Anyway, it’s better for us ^^

      I was wondering myself that too! I guess they’ll hold the events on August/September/October… and the video won’t be THAT exclusive for the events enymore X3

For TRC, oh my gosh… I’m going to miss seeing these chapters so much now that the Celes story is in progress. And it was getting so good!! *sobs loudly* The same thing will go for HOLiC and Kobato from now and in the future times. *sobs even more*

  22. Tsubasa is suprisingly keeping his steady pace (well, it’s not like they can skip too much weeks, tankoubon 21, 22 and 23 are already scheduled at two months from each other). The tankoubon 20 is announced, but we’ll have to wait to see the cover pictures this time.

    Holic has two weeks of break (I begin to see pattern, but I don’t like what I see ¬_¬). The tankoubon 11 is still in the xxxHolic section although it was released on May, like they’ll keep always the latest book in the headline news section now. The same for Clover and CCS’s DVDs in the sono hoka section.

    We get to know when the end of Code Geass will be aired (July 21st for Osaka, July 22nd for Tokyo).

    Finally, not only a year, not only a month, but a full date for Clamp in Wonderland’s DVD! Both Clamp in Wonderland clip will be together and there will be … a 230 pages booklet … er, book (it will be bigger than a tankoubon, it deserve the name of book o.O). That’s huge, the Wish Gift Box has fourty some pages. o.O Maybe there’s enough rough scketch to fill fifty pages, there are more than fourty characters in Clamp in Wonderland 1, if they can cramp 2 characters in each page … Maybe an art galery too, with the images used for the promotion of each Clamp in Wonderland, the ones drawn by Clamp, the ones drawn by Mad House … with both crew … A special short comic maybe? Or the reprint of the doujinshi they made for the first events with the Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure, Giant Robot, Marion and Sonic the Hedgehog’s parodies (34 pages) …

    They won’t place them all, just like the old Clamp in wonderland illustration where Kamui, Ashura, Subaru, Hikaru and Miyuki took all the spotlight as they were the series in progress in 1994. All the rest got background chibi cameo. If they do a CiW2 only cover, I predict Kobato, Watanuki, Kazahaya and TRC!Syaoran to steal the lime light (X and Clover, with their uncertain future, are less likely). If they do a CiW1&2 cover, I bet on Ashura, Kamui, TRC!Syaoran, CCS!Sakura and Kazahaya (one character from the very first series, one character from their longest series to link both era, one character from their shounen series, one character from their biggest anime project and one character from Nekoi’s series. 1 from Shinshoukan, 2 from Kadokawa and 2 from Kodansha). That pretty much sums up Clamp’s career so far.

    There’s no word about Clamp doing the CD cover, I hope they will even so.

      DVDs are okay, they usually stay longer indeed (since they cost more). But XXXHOLiC’s book should really get gone by now XD

      I don’t think it’ll have all that. Maybe some color illustrations but I see why it’s so big. It has both storyboard by CLAMP AND Madhouse’s “e-conte”. They used a lot of sheets to produce the video, and if that’s what they refer to by “e-conte”, then I believe that’s what taking all those pages ^^” But I don’t think they’ll fill one sheet per page… probably more than that, in vertical strips.

      About the cover, yeah, they’ll select a few characters for sure. It would be impossible to feature them all unless the box is the size of a 29″ TV Box XDDDDD

      I noticed that *pouts* Don’t know why they don’t use the same art… it’ll be released 2 days before anyway… Unless the Box illustration won’t be the same as of the “package” illustration for “2”? I mean, I presume they’ll release a single edition later? With only “2”?

        Well, the storyboards themselves shouldn’t be that long, Wish’s storyboard was 15 pages long, even if Mokona and Nekoi’s storyboards takes the double, it’s still only 60 pages for both clip. That lefts 170 pages to fill. Add a few interviews and some production sheets, if you can make 50 pages without getting annoyingly repetitive, you have a lot of stuff to write about. 50 pages by clip should be really hard to achieve and there would still be 70 pages to fill. I bet there will be some other stuff they didn’t talk about.

        Even so, the CD will have a limited first print too, why not make a special cover drawn by Clamp for both items? I hope they forget to mention it and that it will be mentionned next time.

          But you’re still not counting Madhouse’s artwork, the ones we saw in CLAMP Newtype PASTEL. It’s two different things: Mokona’s storyboard and Madhouse’s storyboard. I think Madhouse’s storyboard is what is taking so much pages.

          What would be really awesome is if they added their “attempts”, “beta” versions of the storyboards (remember Mokona tried several times XD). Production sketches and character designs are welcome too.

          I was wondering, what exactly is “limited” in this edition? The Booklet? The Box? The fact that it comes with CIW1? They don’t mention 2 discs, so it seems like it’s going to be just 1 CD with both videos. I don’t even know why they call it “box” since it’s only one CD (maybe because of the Booklet ¬¬).

          I only hope that this limited edition is not the only one planned for CIW2.
