YES !!! Ohkawa is in the Staff for the XXXHOLiC Anime under the charge of “Series composition” (same as CCS and MKR). We can surely expect a VERY faithful anime adaptation, since everything will be approved by her ^_~ Not to mention that the chances of her writting scripts (and maybe songs too) are large. Although I hope they pulish Yuuko’s character design a bit more. Her face was perfect, but the boobs are scary-looking in the movie.

Yuuko’s design seems like it’ll be fairly reminiscent of the movie’s art style. The character designer was also carried over from the movie.
It’s great to hear that Ohkawa will be working on the series! I can breath a sigh of relief in knowing that we’re not going to get a less-than-stellar adaptation like Tsubasa Chronicle.

Yep, you’re right, in TC anime, Yuuko was too “light”, but in the holic movie, she was too “hard” (even more than the scary CLAMP faces ^^UU).
And even more, maybe Tsubasa anime will improve because the “competency” and to have a better link with XXXHOLiC.

–not quite..even though she was on staff for CCS and MKR, major plot points in both CCS and MKR were drastically changed including essential ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ of the story. the most we can hope is that the essence of the manga and most of the episodic stories of the manga is preserved in the anime. But, considering their body of work, it seems that clamp deliberately changes the ending of the anime story so it is a seperate entity from the manga.
..but as long as it’s made well, i’ll enjoy it either way.

That’s exactly what I meant ^_~ And to know that everything that’s in there has Ohkawa’s bow and approvement is enough for me.

Yeah I think that makes them unique from each other, and more interesting too. But is better to have someone from CLAMP doing the changes than someone outside CLAMP ^^
